I love watching a grader work!
I've calculated there are about 1200 different geometeric setups (probably more) you can create when operating a grader. If the grader operator would lay the mold board about 1/2 forward during his final finish pass when doing the fore slope of the ditch he would leave less material in the ditch giving it a more defined/flowable profile. And my very last pass on the main surface, I laid the mold board forward/down for a 'tighter together' surface making it smoother even after the rollers finished. Operated one of these for 47 years.
