I think this pen is one of the best colors out of all of the Medici Il Magnifico. Awesome review Dave. I heard very recently that the man who made the caps has died so the newest version has ceased production and no one knows what is going to happen moving forward with them. Very sad indeed.
I wish I could say that I had an absolute favourite pen but it's really hard with that amount of pens. I am trying to buy less and rotate the pens I use more and that is actually helping me find what I loved about each pen.
You are right William, I'm trying to rotate my pens more and I start to rekindle my love for some of the older pens now they are back in my rotation. I think we all still love the older pens (or most of them) but the newer pens or what we have currently inked up which is typically the newer pens are always where we find ourselves.
@@PenultimateDave I've started to get into more expensive pens this last 6 months to a year. So my cheaper pens aren't getting used much anymore. So I'm trying to ink up the cheaper ones and take them to work to use them so they aren't just collecting dust. But I'm probably going to start slowing down big time on buying now and just enjoy what I have for awhile.
That marble color is gorgeous!
Beautiful. You chose the right one.
Really nice body and cap combination. The engraving on the cap almost looks like it has a little blue in it which is nice.

Hi William, it wouldn't surprise me if Visconti outsourced the production of the caps and even more sad if the guy passed away.
Do you have an absolute 1 favorite pen in all of your hundreds of pens?
It changes with each pen rotation haha Depends on what is inked at the time. At least that is how I am with all of mine.
