Love this pattern! I’m using it to make my mom a throw/blanket. Something I found that helps the cables stay tight and clean while getting rid of the carried yarn on the back is to work the “skipped stitches” on the second hook as soon as you get to them, and then skipping them with your main hook to work the next 3 and then slipping the loops on the second hook on to your main hook. It’s also not as awkward trying to work the skipped stitches around the main hook.
I do not, love, sorry. Are you familiar with how to swatch and how to calculate yardage? If not, here is a tutorial that might help, though do reach out if it’s still unclear. I’m happy to help :) th-cam.com/video/4eK-Vlf9Fjw/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
What an awesome idea!! Heck yes! I’m working on a sock pattern at the moment, but I’ll start one as soon as I finish this pattern. 🤔 it might be cutting it really close to xmas though.
@@ModeBespoke yay!! I can’t wait!! Well my sisters birthday is in February so maybe I will just make them for her bday instead! Love your patterns! Keep up the amazing work!
Really cool pattern & I was trying to follow along to do a swatch for a throw I want to make using this & another stitch later but the vid was a too blurry; white on white in poor 720 on my uhd 65 tv was too much on my eyes. I may have to watch later on my phone. I believe I got the general idea though.
@@ModeBespoke lol. If it makes you feel any better, I had a similar experience today. I FINALLY pulled it off after a few headaches & dozing off with yarn in my hand. I’m so happy!!!! I feel like we both deserve a steak after that stitch for real. 😂 I stayed up dang near all night till I got it because I’m super stubborn & prideful & I wasn’t about to let some yarn best me ok?! 😂🤣😂😂 If it makes you feel any better, I did the same as you today. I first tested it with some new variates yarn…yeah, that doesn’t go well so doing it again in solid blue.
Thank you! And thank you for letting me know! I’ll update it right away! I’ve been updating patterns, so if the information you’re looking for isn’t on the website, check again later today. I’ll try to get to this pattern up as soon as possible. Here’s the link: modebespoke.com/tunisian-braided-scarf/
Beautiful scarf! Thank you for sharing. I think I’m going to give it a go. When you say size 5 yarn, do you mean yarn that calls for a 5 mm hook? I have a really pretty chunky yarn from yarn bee called Effortless Chunky that I’ve been wanting to use, and it calls for a 6.5 mm hook. Should I use a 10 mm hook? Or would you advise not to use this yarn for this particular project and save the yarn for something else?
Thank you! No, the yarn size (the yarn weight) is a #5 bulky yarn. Effortless chunky is a #6 Super Bulky yarn. You can use that yarn just fine, I used a #6 yarn for the sample you see in the video. I would use 10 mm hook, it’ll work up more easily than with a 9 mm hook.
Yes, it’s Tunisian crochet. It’s a type of crochet that is intended to look like knitting. This is a crochet channel after all 🤷🏻♀️. I hope you find the pattern you are looking for, though! 🤞🏼 😊

😊 thank you so much!
I love this! 😍 Thank you for taking the time to show this. I also saw a cable tutorial but I wanted a braid as well. So thank you! 😍😍🙌
Thank you! I’m so glad you like it! 😊 🥰
Thank you so much for this tutorial! Would you happen to know how many yards a blanket would take?

Oh no! Yeah, that yarn color was not my best idea 😅

I don’t suppose you have a pattern for a cabled blanket? 😊
… not yet 😉 But I am on it!
Such a beautiful pattern! 👌🏼👍
I will try immediately but unfortunately the link to the written pattern isn't working. Do you have another one?

Forgive me if youre already said What the pattern is multiple Of ..(have not heard) but I need to hear it. Love from 🇳🇴🇳🇴
You need a chain of 21, though if you were to expand the pattern, you could crochet multiples of 21 + 2

Made it all the way to the last row but I can’t find nine knit stitches in the middle. I think I found six of them.
Did it end up working out?
Mode Bespoke I think it’ll help if I use some stitch markers. They are packed away...somewhere. Hoping to use it for a Christmas scarf for my mom.
Oh that would be a lovely gift!
It's knitting with a crochet hook.... Disappointed
