Did the replacement ump have to catch a flight and hail a taxi to get to the ballpark? The game was delayed almost 30 minutes in the 8th inning waiting on him!
I really like Will Edmunson. He’s got a really good flat swing & when he hits those low line drives his finish looks almost identical to Cayden Wallace. I’m not saying he is going to be as good as Wallace (few are) but he just sorta looks like a smaller version of him.
The catcher didn’t show up to one of my sisters machine pitch softball games and my dad was encouraged to do it bc we were tired of waiting and I guess never thought of a foul tip to the forehead and sure enough that’s what happened. Needless to say he’s not played catcher since
Does Tygart ever have a good outing? Can't make it 4 innings. Not sure he is part of the equation at Arkansas. At least not in starting rotation. 5 walks, a balk, hit batter, and quite a few hits against him in only 3 2/3 innings. As for Rowland, he could not have had a worse game. Throwing errors, 5 bases stolen on him, 0 for at the plate and hitting .222. Why is he starting?
I doubt they would ever change the rotation just to get a catcher in the lineup more but If they have to start throwing Molina in game 2 & Tygart in game 3 they could go with Helfrick in games 1 & 3 & still have White catch Molina. I believe in Tygart though, he was electric a couple weeks ago! DVH even said that was probably the best he had ever seen him. IMO it’s all about him commanding his fastball, but I think him and Hobbs will get that ironed out pretty quickly.
