I once had a family of two young parents and a toddler want to get a crappy $25 circular tank kit and put a clownfish in it just because the kid wanted the fish. Nope. No idea about its husbandry and didn't even have a 'cycled' tank ready, and they were going to buy everything same day and didn't even know it was a saltwater fish.

A blue tang most definitely needs a bigger tank. Not big on fish, but that’s one thing I noticed, I’m sure there’s a lot more that someone with more info could point out. If all you know to say about a fish is that they have lots of colors and they like to swim, then I don’t really think you know enough about the fish tbh.

Shouldnt all live animals be cohabitable in this type of situation, specifics like how many tanks, sizes , fish established all comes into account. This is all for exposure. Mystery box for live animals just doesn't sound responsible unless they have pre selected options to choose as appropriate. Thats a complex matrix.

@@sarahwilson7825 not sure what your saying after 'shouldn't all animals be cohabitable' but for that staement; no. Some fish are predatory, and if put in a tank with fish smaller then them, crustaceans, or whatever their prey is, they will eat them. Some fish, like Betta, aren't predatory but are super territorial, and need a big tank in order to house more then one Betta.
