  • We are a young couple living and working as international school teachers in China. We have had a lot of requests from friends and family back home to see what our apartment looks like. This is a couples apartment that was provided with our contract, fully furnished and rent free. Free housing is a standard perk when accepting jobs in Asia. We are planning to make more videos on China so please feel free to leave us any questions if you are interested.

    Your kitchen is super shiny, Love it. I have to say as for your free house provided by school, it is big and nice and the location seems nice. You are definitely much more lucky nicer than many other foreigner teachers in China.

    quite standard chinese apartment for rental only. what amazed me is that quite sizable chinese families have multiple properties. one for own living and rest for rentals.

      Our kitchen is too small to put the microwave and oven. It is the only place we can put it where it doesn't get in the way.

    This is great. I wonder if you know anyone who is living in China on a scholarship (with spouse) and also got a room or small apartment to live together. I was offered a scholarship to study in Poland and it would be separate rooms for me and my wife... so I am just curious, I have plans to go to china. Anyways, thank you so much for sharing this video.

      Hi from a Polish girl who's been living in China for many years - I know married couples (from Poland and Pakistan ) who got a room or apartment together arranged by their university. Surprised and saddened to learn about the lack of such option in my country though!

    how did you go about doing this as a couple? i want to teach but my partner doesnt. thought we both want to move

    • @JadeRoars
      @JadeRoars  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      We use searchassociates and they list a lot of schools that take teaching couples. We only know how to get teaching jobs. You could easily live on one income if your partner can't find a job straight away.

      Dannie's Daze It is easier to get a job as a couple w the International School System. They prefer the stability a couple has to offer. Years ago the ISS's woyld have recruiting fairs in major cities. They also prefer to see you in person. Good Luck, the jobs are there!

      well it's nice that this guy's positive about everything. I'm from NZ but I never lived there. Ha ha. So I don't have his accent. But in my opinion, this place is not very good for a couple. I've lived in much better places. The furniture's all boring and dull, just the basics really. I don't like that clothes line going up and down. The view is mediocre. Europe has very good housing. But nah, forget China I think unless they have some super cool housing there.
