I used de control board that came along with the kit: bit.ly/2OdxSri
It's able to control up to 32 servo motors.
It can receive commands for other boards (an Arduino, for instance) and set the position for each servo.

Hello. Those black boxes are the servo motors used for moving the joints of the robot.

O thinks it’s 17: 5 for each leg, 3 for each arm and one for the hear (although this last one isn’t very useful 😅)
