    Very nice video. You described all aspects of the vehicle nicely. Also your selection of words to describe a particular situation are very good! Most importantly while describing you were driving. A lot auto reviewers forget to drive the vehicle. I personally prefer seeing the reviewer drive it and then explain each point. Excellent work!

    What a great video and I just loved the way you talked us through the entire episode.. it comes out so naturally... I bit the bullet and bought a Harrier in July 21, and I totally agree with what you say about it being a perfect vehicle to road trip in India.. I've taken two road trips so far, and am looking forward to taking quite a few more in the coming year..... Overall its a tremendous feeling and does (in my humble opinion) has great road presence too... I chose the Auto over the Manual due fact that you need it in a city like Mumbai, but I wish I had the manual whenever I've been out on road trips....especially on the hills.... Once again great video - simple, nice and most importantly an honest review.... Look forward to seeing more of your videos....

    • @road_not_taken
      @road_not_taken  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi,
      I have also heard that the dashboard design fouls with the knee for some people depending on how you position yourself while driving. Fortunately, I have a laid back driving position so I did not face this issue. However, I'd recommend you to try it out on a long test drive. In showroom evaluation could be inaccurate and a long drive would give a much better picture.
      PS: I hope you are evaluating and not facing this after the purchase, inc which case you'll have to adjust your driving position a bit:)

    Very well put together review. Helps a lot. I am looking to buy the Automatic Harrier however am a bit unsure if a new facelift is on the way or not. Some channels mention about a Q1 2022 update being on the way. Any clarity on that would be very helpful.

    • @road_not_taken
      @road_not_taken  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Oliver,
      I have also read a bit about the Harrier facelift. There are also a lot of new features mentioned like the ADAS. Here is my suggestion:
      1. If you plan to buy the top variant, buy the current generation as most of the niggles have been sorted out. But you can wait for end of year discounts though.
      2. If you plan to buy the base/middle variants (without fancy features), wait for the facelift as they shouldn't have niggles from the early batches.
      3. If you want the new features like ADAS, please wait it out at least for 8-12 months. A new Tata with fancy electronics is too much risk.
      I hope this helps:)

    Absolutely spot on review. Most people call bad roads as off road in India. If anything, Harrier is a bad roader. If only Force Gurkha came with 5 str and 5 doors!..Sometimes one has to submit to the needs of the family!

      Hi Sounak,
      I totally understand the feeling. I'd have loved to own the Thar, but we are a family of 5 and travel with decent luggage, so Thar is out of contention. However, you have got an excellent car in the Harrier. Off-roading aside, it is one of the best cars to travel around the country :)

I m a Seltos htx petrol owner was really interesting in harrier & my mom was even more.. when we watched commercials but they put it with FWD.. well thats not the way SUVs are defined.. yes AWD or 4×4 would have made it to old safari level... Hi Kaif,
      Interesting question :) Ride quality is a relative term and depends on the other cars that you are comparing with. What is your daily driver, or point of reference for this?
      For me the XUV300's ride was better than my Ford EcoSport. However, the Harrier's ride was great compared to most vehicles I had driven including the XUV300. It rides better than the Compass that feels very stiff at low speeds (
