This song is beautiful. It’s sad though. I’m 31. You don’t realize how friendships you had when you were young will fade away. I was never a social butterfly but I had a few, incredibly close friends like sisters to me. We saw each other through incredibly dark times for over a decade. I met them at 15 and they were like the siblings I never had since I was like an only child. The past 5 years I’ve seen them at my wedding & one of theirs, that’s it. It’s a shame. Nobody warns you how fragile those bonds really are. I do have a lot of beautiful, funny memories though. 💚

Had a friend who was the only person I talked to in school. We grew close, I had never had the feeling before that I could tell a person everything. He listened, I listened to him too. He told me he was gay, I wasn't concerned. Being gay or straight matters as much as hair colour to me. Thing is, his parents found out when he forgot to erase our texts and they snooped around. Being heavily religiously homophobic, they sent him into a christian school and forbade him to talk to me again. I have no idea how he's handling that now, last we talked was him saying he'll pray that God won't send me to hell. Then again, I doubt that was really him talking. More likely his parents. Still, it stings...

I cried listening to this cause my parents divorced when I was 7 and I had to move to the Netherlands, I had to leave everyone behind. But I started a new life in the nl and I have alot of cool friends but they sometimes are just not they same. And I know I will one day have to let go of them too. Im from Netherlands, I moved to spain when I was 10 I'm 13 now I got depression, I had to go through a lot the bullying they had on ppl that don't know their lenguage etc. I got friends but they always break friendship, their not the same. They think I'm also weird etc.

This song is beautiful. It’s sad though. I’m 31. You don’t realize how friendships you had when you were young will fade away. I was never a social butterfly but I had a few, incredibly close friends like sisters to me. We saw each other through incredibly dark times for over a decade. I met them at 15 and they were like the siblings I never had since I was like an only child. The past 5 years I’ve seen them at my wedding & one of theirs, that’s it. It’s a shame. Nobody warns you how fragile those bonds really are. I do have a lot of beautiful, funny memories though. 💚

Had a friend who was the only person I talked to in school. We grew close, I had never had the feeling before that I could tell a person everything. He listened, I listened to him too. He told me he was gay, I wasn't concerned. Being gay or straight matters as much as hair colour to me. Thing is, his parents found out when he forgot to erase our texts and they snooped around. Being heavily religiously homophobic, they sent him into a christian school and forbade him to talk to me again. I have no idea how he's handling that now, last we talked was him saying he'll pray that God won't send me to hell. Then again, I doubt that was really him talking. More likely his parents. Still, it stings...

I graduated elementary school a few months ago but we couldnt celebrate it cuz of covid-19.. we couldnt even get a single pic with all of us for the memories.. i just miss the old times we have..
