Waluigi likes Piranha Plants. In Mario Party 4 one of the Collectables you can get is Waluigi’s Shower,Which is entirely Piranha Plant themed. Not to mention the Mecha Piranha Plants that exist in Waluigi Stadium from Double Dash. And like gent said,The two are Partners in the Duel Board mode from Mario Party 3.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to say for certain, however, but I am open for people that study music professionally to weigh in on this topic.

Didn't expect to like this. But damn, man. I really do love it! Awesome job on this one!
In a next game, for the Mario characters:
Mario: Give him some more Odyssey-inspired moves, but do keep most of his moveset the same.
Luigi: Incorporate his Poltergust into his moveset more (in particular, replace the side and down specials).
Peach: Give her moves inspired from Princess Peach Showtime.
Daisy: Give her moves inspired from Super Mario Wonder (perhaps badges).
Bowser: Not sure specifically, but he does feel rather generic. He especially needs his normal Bowser noises and not his current monster sounds.
Piranha Plant: Just give him something to do with singing, it was just too great in Wonder.
Bowser Jr., Dr. Mario, and Rosalina are fine as is.
What about the Donkey Kong characters, Yoshi, and Wario?

I think a fun thing would be to include some of "Piranha Plant Reprise/A Very Special March" in the end before it loops since both Songs are sung by the Piranha Plants and Smash sometimes combines Songs into one. But other than that I like this remix and feels like what Nintendo would do for this song if it made it into Smash
