Mr ananda sreenivasan are you going to stand as a presidential candidate in upcoming American elections. Whether saudia arabia is moving away from petro dollars or not Americans are worried about increasing inflation and no rate cuts. America were selling arms all through but now there are alternatives and besides that nations aren't foolish as in the past to opt for war immediately which Americans were trying and would be trying just to sell weapons

I can't understand how Anand Srinivasan can be so one dimensional. Oil as the currency of the world is over as electrification is taking over. Oil producing nations Russia and iran are with china and they are integrating their economies with their own currencies outside dollar. The us debt is going up like a balloon whole Chinese economic integration with rest of the world is exploding. You can live in the past Anand. Actually I like your views but in this one you ar completely one dimensional and probably emotional

Countries politics is most important for one to be reserve currency.
They admitted dollar will lose some portion of share but will be dominant quite sometime .

As usual spot on, but highly disagree on your perspective about China. FDI share remaining constant, R&D expenditure ever increasing businesses are flourishing, Yellen/Musk/Blinken rushing to China once in a while shows China is in the safest hands Real estate ofc is a bubble there but their core technologies stack, research dominance, EVs, battery tech is exponentially increasing everyday. I recommend a visit to China and then respond the same. I’m very sure most of west and Indians are in a bubble thinking China is in gutters whereas one visit would change everything.

Talking about fracture method to get oil. Are you aware the cost are over 10 times more in oil exploration by fracture method and pollution is ten fold...oil got through fracturing would never be economical viable unless Americans are will to buy gas at 25 dollars per gallon.

Anand never misses a chance to put India down. It's a shame he sees India from a Western perspective and calls us a third-world country. He doesn't think our currency is good enough to compete. If he has so little respect for his own country, how can he expect people to move forward?

True yeah in investing political bias doesn’t helps. But he wants his investment to go up without the country progressing forward because they are in the opposition.

It may be true that the Indian currency can't replace the dollar, but at least they're trying. It's like criticizing an average student in class who's trying their best to do better...why would you discount that effort and make a mockery...

India has demonstrated to the global community its potential as a dependable partner in various sectors, including electronics manufacturing, defense exports, and the resilience of its local banks during challenging times. Additionally, the country has made significant strides in the automotive industry with self-reliant four-wheelers, and positive developments have been observed in chip design and manufacturing...
