It's terrible that people are giving you a hard time about the ships. I guess the word “ship” leans towards a romantic side, but you refer to the members with their pair names. Those names have nothing to do with romance. It's how they're officially called when they're together. Either way, you've never used such paring names in a romance context on either channels. Some people just perceive something one way and don't ask or find out more before typing/speaking. Ignore them!
Jongho is more affectionate with the softest members. Yeosang, San, and sometimes Mingi. With Hongjoong he is less on guard so he lets Hongjoong baby him more compared to other members, tho Jongho doesn't initiate affectionate gestures with HJ. 🥰 I think their Ships like you said are more natural in how they gravitate towards each other. Their friendships and chemistry. But they are aware of their audience. There is one time in the content pool they have where they mentioned how they tried to make HOHO a thing and how they also tried to include Jongho in many units and give him his own ship haha but he would never participate haha. This was their explanation because Jongho had said he felt like he didnt fit in like the rest of the group and how everyone had their units and ships hahaha so it was the members kinda throwing him under the bus and being like "but you never want to do anything with us." 🤣😅
