Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War | Yachiru Kusajishi's Shikai "Sanpo Kenju"

- Sanpo Kenjū (三步剣獣, Three-Step Sword Beasts; Viz "Three Step Sword Beast"): Yachiru's Zanpakutō is a normal katana with a pink hilt-wrapping, a tsuba shaped like a five-petal flower, and a purple scabbard. Yachiru carries it around with a loose cord, rather than at the sash of her uniform. Her Zanpakutō's scabbard is also unusual in that it has a pair of wheels for transport, which were installed by Ikkaku Madarame, after she continually pestered him to do it.
When released, Sanpo Kenjū manifests two creatures that fight alongside Yachiru. One of the creatures is tall and made of bone with teal hair. It wears a black cloak and has a large bone running through its head vertically, wielding a long dagger-like blade that has another blade protruding at the top edge. The other creature is plump and covered in yellow fur, leaving its eyes only partially visible, wielding a cleaver. When Yachiru attacks an opponent, the two creatures mimic her sword with their own weapons. The smaller creature's attack precedes her own, while the larger creature's attack follows after. This ensures that, even if Yachiru's attack misses the opponent, at least one of the other two will hit, making an attack from Sanpo Kenjū nearly impossible to dodge. The strength of a concentrated attack by Sanpo Kenjū is enough to create a deep fissure in the ground where it strikes. According to Isane Kotetsu, a Shikai that manifests its power within creatures while the blade itself remains unchanged like Sanpo Kenjū is unheard of. The smaller creature is known as Lumpy (前獣 (モコモコ), Moko Moko; Japanese for "Front Beast"), and the larger creature is known as Boney (後獣 (ホネホネ), Hone Hone; Japanese for "Rear Beast").

So...considering he's the owner of the zanpakutou, Kenpachi has been unconsciously swiping fish from Byakuya's koi-pond on a frequent basis.

Ever since this ability and Yachiru's nature was revealed, I am convinced that the three of them represent the three most dominating aspects of Kenpachi's personality; Moko Moko, being fuzzy and looking like a teddy represents his lackadaisical laziness, Yachiru herself represents his playfulness and Hone Hone, taking the form of a skeletal yokai, represents his monstrous ruthlessness.
I hope that his bankai has 3 form. And maybe thats something about the party of the beast inside his soul. Because his shiki release is something about “drink”

True story, the names of her two monsters are Moko Moko (fuzzy one) and Hone Hone (bony one).
Doesn't she call them Lumpy and Boney, respectively? Based on Isane's line and the fact that Yachiru is actually the manifestation of Nozarashi's Bankai spirit, there's some debate as to the nature of Moko Moko and Hone Hone. For all we know, they could be hollows or sword beast spirits (remember the filler arc) that she managed to befriend/subjugate. She acts all adorable and childish most of the time, but she's demonstrated the ability to deadlift an unconscious Kenpachi and project a menacing aura that intimidated a messenger during Kenpachi's first fight with Ichigo.

@@imofage3947 Apparently, when he gave her a name, he unconsciously gave her powers of a Shinigami, as if changing her identity from a zanpakutou to a seemingly ordinary soul changed her powers at the same time.
Yachiru + Kenny is just the fucking best thing about Bleach. I cherish every single scene they are in and together.

My theory is that Sanpo Kenju might be the true ability of Zaraki's Bankai, aside of turning into a demon, his strikes are unavoidable and can cut everything, due to having 3 copies of his sword, maybe of the size of his shikai.

She doesn't die, this isn't a spoiler, it's been speculated that she's been his Zanpakuto this entire time. Her flat out vanishing once Kenpachi uses Bankai, and after this fight makes this a bit more apparent.

@@GucciSimpson I read the manga, genius. Yachiru disappeared when kenpachi activated his shikai, her shihakusho was found after gremmy was defeated and kenpachi ordered his squad members to find her. When she appears again during the fight with Gerard nobody see her because she is a spirit for good and only him could see and perceive her, in fact she never joined the group who went to the SK palace for the fight but she appeared anyway before kenpachi in that moment because she already returned to be only his spirit.
According to Kubo: her existence changed when Kenpachi gave her a name like an ordinary soul, so she ended up with her own Shikai as Yachiru. She may have been the Bankai version of Kenpachi's zanpakutou spirit, but she disappeared after Kenpachi beat Gremmy with his Shikai.
The kenpachi / yachiru thing definitely needs to be addressed like the zero division thing got addressed before the end of the anime

Bro how is it possible that a zanpukto is so powerful it can manifest itself and have a shikai. Ngl during the old zanpukto arc it would’ve been wild to see kenpachis sword come to life the other ones did considering how his sword was already sentient
Even though it was filler the Zanpakuto Rebellion Arc actually lines up perfectly with Yachiru being his Bankai spirit.
Unlike other Zanpakuto; Kenpachi’s had full on self-sentience and had already manifested herself. In addition; despite everyone mocking him or disparaging him for not having a relationship with his sword he was actually perfectly in tune with it because of his relationship with Yachiru. Muramasa would’ve been unable to make Yachiru rebel because she wouldn’t be inside Kenpachi when he tried to go in and because even if she were there wouldn’t be anything to exploit because she truly loved Kenpachi.
It’s actually kind of funny how the guy everyone derided for having the worst relationship with his Zanpakuto secretly had the best relationship and nobody but the Zanpakuto itself knew.
Kubo already explained it, as Ichibei said "the power lies in the name", 'Yachiru' became a shinigami because Zaraki named her after Unohana.
Kubo revelaed Yachiru's relationship to Nozarashi (Kenpachi's bankai) is comparable to Zangetsu (Ichigo true Shikai) and Tensa Zangetsu's relationship. (Ichigo true Bankai)
Kenpachi: Being so strong to the point his zanpakuto spirit has it's own zanpakuto
Gremmy: Being so strong he could create another sternritter

I hope we get to see Zaraki's advanced Bankai with Moko Moko and Hone Hone traits in Hell arc and beyond. Imagine that...Zaraki's triple slash that always hit.

Can we take a moment to appreciate Isane's voice actress and Isane's adamant tone of commanding someone she is unable to fight to get the fuck out of her barrier. She was shocked and in fear but reversed
Notice how Yachiru doesn't really "release" her Shikai though. Nothing like "Cry, Benihime" or "Scatter, Senbonzakura". She doesn't even call it a "shikai" herself. This is clearly just poor neglected Nozarashi doing its best to use its abilities on its own lol.

I had always wondered in Sanpo Kenju actually represented Kenpachi’s “full” Bankai. I know there’s been theories that the one we saw was only partially shown, the whole broken cleaver look. Since Yachiru is just Kenpachi’s zanpaktou taken form. Maybe the blades of Sanpo Kenju are what the full Bankai looks like, or at least in that same wheelhouse.

i mean yeah, you need to sacrifice two characters to make Kenpachi stronger, because he needs even more hyping up.
Gremmy's power isn't as good as he claims it to be OR he's a fucking idiot. If anything he imagines becomes reality, he could just imagine no opponents couldn't he, or that they've already won the war? If he can turn other peoples body parts into cookies, he could surely just imagine their heart stopping no? Like I don't really get it, it sounds like a cool power until you realize it's fucking stupid how it's used. How could he possibly lose to anyone, and why doesn't he just instantly kill anyone he comes across?
he cannot directly affect those with a reiatsu above his own. He fought Kenpachi who was basically one of the three enemies with a reiatsu greater than his own.

Aizen mentions, in the end, no matter the ability, its a reiatsu battle.

@@marikasdaughter6263 vast majority of powers from bleach then are useless since the ones who bypass way higher reiatsu level are almost non-existent. Kenpachi reiatsu is simply way above gremmy and so gremmy cannot directly affect his body, he can only try to kill him in other way as he tried. And this is not even the first case something like this happened against kenpachi.

Yachiru can’t be kenpachi bankai or apart of him for that matter. A soul reaper sword is apart of their soul and since she has her own sword that immediately proves she is her own person and that there is clearly a plot hole in the story
It was already explained by Kubo that she got shinigami like powers because kenpachi named her as such, just like renji half bankai have different appearance and power from the real one and Yumichika fake shikai and true shikai are totally different.
