In 1987 I was a 15 year old boy, went to a friend's birthday party, when I saw the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, she was 14 at the time. Try to meet her when someone puts this music, ask her to dance, she said yes. 34 years later she's beside me. She has fall a sleep 10 minutes ago, and now I'm just staring at her and listening to this music at the same time, a tear is falling. It was senior prom at my high school...2001, and I was there with my boyfriend that I had been with since 7th grade, 1995, we met in 6th grade when I was the new girl at school, anyway, I went to my prom with him in a red gown with black long silk gloves and a silver headband. Black thigh highs and black high heels. He looked so cute in his black pants and black tux jacket and his white shirt and red bow tie. I remember the red corsage he slid onto my wrist and when the prom was almost over he requested "Lady in Red" just for me. The dj announced our names and everything. My boyfriend never liked to dance and so I knew he meant it and he was so nervous. We have now been together for 20 years altogether, married for 12 of those years and have a 9 year old son. I still have that dress and it still fits. I really wanna put it on for my hubby now and dance to this again with him, even though he is uncomfortable dancing. I would love to dance with him again in that dress. It was such a good memory. Funny thing is, I found out later that it's one of my mom's favorite songs. I guess we are both knock outs in red...haha! Thanks Chris DeBurgh. This is a romance classic.

I've had series of non-stop lectures since morning, now in a short break. Decided to come play this song and think of my darling wife, the one that gets me going every other day. I'm small, he's tall, but we managed to make it work. This was back in the 1980s. We still keep in touch, though far apart. He is married to someone else and I am alone, after my husband passed. This song helps me with loneliness and the memories keep me warm. I have dated but it's not really much fun. I think Covid ruined many lives beyond those who passed away from it.

My first wife looked gorgeous in red. July was her birthday month and ruby was her stone. Her engagement ring took a week to pick out. It had diamonds and rubies. Our last year together I got her big ruby red earrings and for Christmas she settled on a crimson red blouse and stridently refused a plaid jacket. A few weeks before her 40th birthday she died of a stroke and I buried her remains with that beautiful crimson blouse and those big ruby earrings. She was a terrific wife and mother to 5 kids. This song always reminds me of her.
