Tanner was an absolute beast. Backed the truck out from the bank to get away. Stopped to deal with the following cars. Snapped his brother out of his panic. refocused his mind on getting to the casino. Gave his brother room and time to get away. Foster and Pine nailed this movie so well.
Their entrance into the bank is electric. Granted it's a little strange that the parking lot would be completely empty and the bank full, but the scene is so good and the tension so immediate that I can forgive it haha
Also the sound quality is authentic for a modern movie, the modern film industry always use those plastic video game gunshots that make it hard to take the scene seriously
I watched "The Day of the Robbery Scene" and when the brothers park at the bank, there is a NO PARKING Sign (with arrows left and right): I presume that it may be access for a drive through... Or, there is not enough room for vehicles to park and other vehicles to drive past; so, the cars park on the sides of the bank? I'm not sure Why, but at least the No Parking sign is consistent with no vehicles being parked in front of the bank.
The guard was so careful, coming up to the main lobby, using his training. He had his weapon pointing towards the area of the suspect. He took cover in an office as he approached. Then, for some strange and unknown reason he rejects his training, shooting once to alert the suspect. The guard then charges the suspect head-on, standing straight up; offering the suspect the largest target possible at 20 to 25 feet away. A suspect, mind you, who never stops shooting at the guard. He was a very silly guard.
Can you imagine being the actor, being so proud to be cast in this dramatic and suspenseful movie. You gather your entire family to watch the film with you, and when your scene ends, everyone is laughing lol
The action scenes are pretty wonky. They would have been dead in that parking lot and Tanner would have gotten smoked walking out in the open firing from the hip.
It's a little thing but I love how Tanner is in pissed off accomplice mode with Toby, slapping him around when he thinks Toby is freaking out, but then immediately goes into older brother mode when he sees he's been hit. Their relationship is so well done.
Yet ignored the fact Pine's blood would be matched for DNA at the crime scene and he'd go to prison, the money he got for the payment to the bank would be seized and that payment would be overturned, they'd lose what they fought for anyway while one is dead and the other in prison. Some realism, right? LOL

He and the truckdriver chased the guy, caught up with him drove him off the road, and pinned him down until he shot himself before the police got to him That armed civilian Texan and his driver saved a whole lot of people that day

Bank employees are instructed to just hand over the money and just call police. A security guard running down a hallway firing at them with bank customers everywhere is unrealistic but provides for some movie action.
A lot of guys that concealed carry see themselves as some kind of vigilante hero and they actively fantasize about being confronted by a bank robber or a mass shooter so they can pull their gun and pretend to be Wyatt Earp or something. They picture themselves getting interviewed and becoming famous for saving everyone from the bad guys.

True, good spot. However, Tanner did burn the Bronco not long after for the distraction. Unless they could get a blood sample later off the ground once Toby had bled enough for it to pool. But it also looked like Toby moved into the cabin and the passenger seat pretty quickly, so most of the blood was probably in the seat and his clothes. Tanner should have also had blood on him from Toby being (briefly) in the driver's seat from moving the Bronco when Tanner was dealing with the locals. That's potentially another way they could have gotten a DNA sample when they collected the body later.
