I'd disagree. I think every generation still does have a unique sound and vibe. Especially with this generation, the music is very good. I will say, that they don't have as good of a soundfount as gen 5, but I think this gen has a very unique sound, same with gen 6 and 7. The only I'd say doesn't is gen 8, except for stuff like Rose's theme

I'm thinking that XY definitely has its own sound from remembering its tracks, and SuMo had a very tropical vibe that is totally different to anything in previous gens (obviously Gen 3 and Humilau in BW2 are pretty tropical but they sound different if you get me?) This is a huge long shot, but do you have a midi of this remix? I’m making a mod for Pokémon Platinum for me and my friends to play through and wanna swap out Barry’s theme for this one. If I can’t find one, I’ll rearrange the song myself but I figured I’d ask since this is my favorite demix of Arven’s theme I’ve heard so far.
If they do a SouthWest US or Central America pokemon region for Gen 10, it better sound latin American. It sucks this is the only battle theme that sounds like it's from spain while stuff like the ss and hgss ost fit what they were based on. I'm scared that they'll stop creating music that fits the place region, is based on.

Honestly I think it just makes it sound more closer to the BW2 Soundfont, imo I wouldn't want more unnecessary instruments added. This is probably the best remix from Solargress' batch just by that alone. You know what they say, quality over quantity 😎

When I first heard Arven's theme, I thought to myself that it sounded like it was ripped straight out of Gen 5. A lot of Gen 9 reminds me of Gen 5
