why did you tack it together with the mig gun then used the tig to weld it out?would teh mig not be faster? is it a pulsed push pull mig gun you have?

It frees up one hand..Tacking with a tig welder usually can take 2 hands..
3/16" Alum a little to thin..1/4" ? Yes mig it all day and it goes faster
