After watching this painful analysis, I strongly feel that he was simply trying to justify his choice with roundabout arguments. Some of the facts may be correct though but many are just plain wrong or just his own assumptions and thanks for dispelling the myths about IIT-G, that was helpful though. Having said that I can poke atleast a dozen holes in his arguments and points. I strongly suggest every aspirant to follow what his/her passion is and not go for all this foolish Brand image, stamp of IIT etc. I can list out a dozen Private colleges where CSE people get packages like 25 Lakhs plus.... The IIT network is only truly useful if you are passionate about starting your own company and pursue it like your life depends on it. Many startup entreprenurs do it like a hobby, thinking if it works it works otherwise chalo let us get a job, attitude (I have met so many of these clueless IIT/IIM wannabe startup entrepreneurs which made me wonder how they even got into these colleges in the first place). There are plenty of great colleges outside of IITs and NITs, it is high time people opened their eyes and stop with this brand snobbery. And one thing I always wonder about, if IITs are so great, then why there are so many student suicides in IITs every year????!!!
