GODSPEED!!!
It is beautiful. Check your table top and make sure it doesn't have any little dips in it. That's all I can think of as they both have the same dipped area.
Just a suggestion, but maybe just a solid layer of the polyurethane over the flower layer. That would eliminate the white and clear layers since polyurethane dries white anyway. It would also make your project extremely tough. Good luck! It still turned out very pretty.
I think that it is from too much heat when the polyurethane is curing because it expands as it cures, and if your resin was not cured thoroughly it could have contributed to the heat as well. I love how it turned out!! I have this mold and still have not made it yet....LOL....I need to give it a go! Thanks for sharing -Beverly
@KustomKre8ted4UByU thanks Beverly 😊 my resin was fully cured by 24 hours before I poured the polyurethane resin. I have no idea why this happe happened.
They are both very pretty.
It is so pretty. You need to call Let's Resin and ask them why it bulged up like that. They help with things like that and let you know what you need to do or not do. 😊
@corinachacon4987 thanks my friend 🧡 and that's a great idea 💡 I am going to do this.
It’s so Beautiful ❤❤❤ I do think, like others that no alcohol should be used. I’m thinking make it in reverse. Polyurethane first (will be the back, then do your resin in a thin coat to add your embellishments. Then you can add your stickers then top coat. Just a thought. Steve McDonald on his latest video, showed making a phone stand with putting heavy duty wires between the card stock he used and resin. Was a great idea. Don’t give up my friend, you will figure it out as always ❤❤❤❤
@tammytoth5874 Thank you Tammy 😍 that is a great idea to make it in reverse 😀
👋 What a great gift for church leaders and choral/band teachers. Or cooks. 😊 👋
@@audreyamanda thanks Audrey 😊
Polyurethane resin gets so hot! It could be the heat or maybe the alcohol. I read somewhere we’re not supposed to use alcohol with it.
It does look beautiful. A shame it didn’t work.
@jayelleart maybe it was the alcohol then??? I only sprayed a tiny bit but I will try again using none 🙃 thanks
@epoxym3that I'm very curious to know what caused it. Also I wonder about not using the epoxy for the back coat. Maybe just use polyurathane resin since your back coat is white. 🤷♀️ ❤️
Hi my friend ❤ awesome this is so pretty ! 😍. I’d call let’s resin n see what caused it , maybe the heat ? But I love it ! Always beautiful work u do ❤
@@Jacqueline_Resin_Crafter thanks my friend 🧡 and that's a great idea. I would love to know the exact cause of it so that I don't do it again.
Viewing from the caribbean your resin tray still looks beautiful
@josetteforde6817 thanks my friend 🧡
It’s really cute! Hopefully you will find out what’s happening ❤
@bridgettsmalls8937 thank you my friend ❣️
Hello my friend. I have that mold and have enjoyed watching you make yours. Simply gorgeous. I have not yet made mine but I brought some milled fiberglass from Amazon after watching a video (can’t remember who). They added it to epoxy to strengthen it in cases like this one. I have not tried the mold or the fiberglass yet but I wanted to at least give you the suggestion.
Keep up the great work. Your channel is fantastic as are your crafts.
Much love
Jane
@QutifulQueenCrafts hi Jane 👋
I really appreciate this information, and I am headed to Amazon to get me some of that milled fiberglass 😉. I love trying new things, and this is right up my ally 🙌 😍
Well I wish I could help you and tell you why but I don't know I'm sorry but it still is wicked pretty I thought it pretty cool
It turned out beautiful. Well done.
@jenreeves7684 thanks my friend 🧡
It is beautiful. I agree with some of the other comments about the alcohol. But you might reach out to some of the artist that use the polyethylene and see if they can help. It is amazing.
@lorrieprice2146 thank you 😊 and I appreciate the idea 💡
I think it's awesome
Very pretty 😊
It looks beautiful! Have you seen others spray alcohol on it? I don't usually watch any projects with other than regular epoxy or uv resin.
@mariverhagen8082 I don't recall Mari 🙃
I'm going to try again and leave out the spraying of the alcohol. I know I didn't spray much at all because I wasn't sure if I should spray it or not.
Oh!!!! By the way it did turn out beautiful
@dawnrosch8861 thank you so much Dawn 💓
I think it was a win. It looks amazing. I saw the areas that were bulging, but it would go unnoticed due to how beautiful the piece turned out. Just my 1 cent
@@JrBurriss thanks my friend 🧡
It’s beautiful! Sorry I don’t have any insight to offer on polyurethane resin.
@VickieB3030 Thanks, Vickie 😊
This is stunning! 🤩
Maybe if you wait for around 30 days so it can “fully cure” and then you use it!?! (Just a guess)! 😊
@artyresin thank you, my friend, and I really appreciate you sharing your idea 💡I love it when people share their ideas.
What kind of decals are those? The book holder came out very beautiful!! I love it
@DashaKirklin thanks my friend 🧡 and they are rub-on decals. You can find some on Amazon, I know, i know for sure, 😉
The bulging isn't from the resin. The molds were made badly. Very pretty!
Tammy, this is soooo pretty ! Can you sand down where it bulged? I'm sorry you feel it's failed but I think it beautiful ❤. Also, would if you made it with mix2mold & then did a top coat with polyeurethane?❤❤❤
@heathermcdonald9076 hi Heather 👋
I truly thought about that, my friend, but I thought I'd give this a go since I have never tried it. I'm going to reach out to let's resin and see if they know why it happened and then go from there. I will be trying mix to mold, too . I think it will be fun 😁
You could try using eco resin but it needs to either be added when the epoxy is still soft but not enough for it to sink or make it face up because epoxy will bind to cured eco but the other way around. Eco resin is very strong and has no flexibility.
@donnadlb1 thanks for sharing your idea Donna 🥰 I have read so many great ways to try 😀
You could try using clear polyurethane but it is more expensive and harder to get hold of.
@SARAHPALMER-o6p you know what, I have some of that. I have never used it. My craft room is UNDER CONSTRUCTION right now, and it may take a while to find it 🤣. Thanks for sharing, my friend 🧡
Hi, what about putting in some thin strips of flat metal in between in order to help strengthening it? Just an idea & I understand you wouldn’t be able to use clear with it. God bless you & have a blessed day.😊
@marybeth17 hi marybeth
This may be something to try, too!! Thanks for sharing 😍
@@epoxym3that I did just started working with resin. So far I’ve only been working with UV doing some smaller projects. I’ve bought some epoxy, Mix2Mold & tons of molds, but I’m just not ready for anything else yet. See I’m disabled & I live in chronic pain 24/7 from a car accident in 1986. It left me with nerve & blood vessel damage in my neck, shoulders & my left arm. So the more I move my arms the worse the pain gets. I try my best to ignore it, but there’s times I just can’t. So that’s why I’ve bought what I’ve bought. That way when I’m having a decent day & I want to try doing something I’ll have it. I also live in Louisiana & my house was just damaged by Hurricane Francine. So unfortunately I’m dealing with that too. Ok sorry for writing you a novel, but I just wanted to explain myself. Have a blessed day. 😊
It is very beautiful. I have no idea why it bulged out like that. I have had a problem using epoxy before though. It didn't harden either. Once I switched to fast cure resin I didn't have an issue. Hopefully egg someone has the answer.
@jeaniebrown8119 Thanks, Jeanie 😊 Do you ONLY use Fast Cure?
Not sure why it bulged out but I would do a thin layer of clear like you did and fill up the rest with polyurethane because it hardens rock hard
@dawnrosch8861 hi dawn
Are you suggesting I dome it with the polyurethane resin?
It is beautiful. I'm thinking the bulge is from flash curing. I'm no scientist however stirring it for as long as you did definitely could have caused a flash cure bulge.
❤😊
Please call the company and explain how you did your piece
@@dawnrosch8861 I am going to call them 😉
Forgot to mention, SRC makes a clear polyurethane resin.
@@jayelleart thanks my friend 🧡
Sand it and do another layer of epoxy. I think it bulged due to the extreme heat of the polyurethane, it isn't even as it heats up
@ladyjarhead I think so, too, but what I don't understand is why? I've seen other people use it in molds, too, and I don't recall them stating that it made their mold bulge out and distort their casting. Then again, I always say 👉 if it's going to happen, it will be TO ME 🤣🤣🥰
@epoxym3that I've had it happen before and my molds were ruined.
This is very beautiful. Perhaps there is something wrong with the design of the mold. Not what you are doing.
@rosemariediamond5948 thank you 😊
I casted in the mold twice before and never had this happen. I'm not sure what's going on
I think it's beautiful!! I wonder, too, what would cause it to bulge? thanks Tammy! xo
@MsSnailspace I'm not sure but I'm going to call let's resin and see if I can get an answer
Tammy, how long did you leave the epoxy part to cure before you added the Poly?
@resinmeup hi Mary 👋
I didn't time it right on the money, but I'm positive that it was very close to 24 hours of not over that.
what brand of mother of pearl powder is that? Where can I get it? I just bought the PU Resin to use in those phone stands that regular resin is just not good for because the heat of the phone makes it bendy. The PU Resin works great for that! I was amazed at how quickly it cured! It caem out beautiful though! Possibly the heat from the PU Resin hitting the epoxy? Epoxy cures .. but not solid for a few days. I'm not sure?
@@jofish420 Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It helps out more than you know. The brand is called re-design diy simplified, resin pearlizing powder ♥️ I buy it from my local Hobby Lobby store.
Hide wire inside of it . I do this with phone stands.
@vickiemartin1245 What kind of wire do you use?
@epoxym3that , I have used jewelry wire, floral wire. I see how deep the mold is and use wire according.
Since you’re keeping this why not put a favorite bible verse on the back side and see how it looks
Did not done
It's so pretty just sand it where the bubble is then top coat. Put liquid latex on the back
Those horrible oblong bottles pour much better if you pour from the side instead of the end. Don't know why,it's weird,but it works!
I think its the alcohol
