Amazing gameplay im getting into ranger, and looking at your gameplay made me think im doing wrong with soulbeast, i rarely get off soulbeast Mode and you opened my eyes on how relevant it is same as positioning and dont Greed for kills, you stay alot on longbow and i liked it, i Will practice, im plat 1550your video made me want to improve and climb as ranger, keep it up
I've finally after many many years started to get into PvP. I'm pretty much using the same build as you but what I'm not sure about as a ranger is our overall job in the match. Do we just roam looking for kills? Do we try and take objectives? Do we just defend? I know people talk about "side noders" and 'decap" a lot, where do we fit into these categories? Awesome gameplay, loved your use of the terrain and swoop to try and hold difficult to reach positions.
It depends on your role, if you play core ranger duelist then you pretty much pushing far all day and taking the duels or holding enemy 1v2 time by time and make your team win fights outnumber. But if you play sic em ranger or untamed power what you do is roaming around and get kills for the team. Hunt the targets-plus the guy who loses duels-kill the target in teamfights etc. Just rotate around and don’t stuck in a team fight when ur team loses it over and over again

In ranked it really doesn’t matter what u play unless u are playing something that u can kill people with it and have good sustain. Just play what you enjoy in ranked if its good enough to win games and not feed to respect tryhard teammates. In competitive 5v5 games untamed is better cause it has more utilies for team play like boonrip and projectile block, also has more meele burst than soulbeast with teleport combo. Meele damage is important right now since Tempest is meta as support and it has perma reflect/anti projectile so you will need good burst damage when tempests swap from earth to kill them as damage role player. Also untamed is doing good when you focus a target as team cause it has many stuns and instant burst You can watch last Montly Automated Tournament on mighty teapot’s channel and See Boyce playing Untamed on winning team to understand the play. Soulbeast is like, i am solo i will roam and i kill people as fast as i can with one wolf pack which is doing really fine in ranked cause there are no teamcomps every game in ranked, even there is they won’t be pro players so you will be fine
