Documentary Film Maker Wendy van Wilgenburg recorded the design- and production of a 3D piece by Iris van Herpen. The Dutch fasion designer custom made this piece for the exhibition 'the new craftsmanship'. Iris van Herpen collaborated with architect Isaie Bloch and travelled to Materialise to print the design.

No it is not plastic. It is a blend of a type of a polymer with metal powder.
