- My very first "unboxing" video of sorts. I was really skeptical of Wish, but alas the item came in less than a month & the quality is good for the price. I've ordered another pair, so we'll see if they match the first pair.
Update 2020/09/28: So 100%... these are knockoffs. I checked out some TH-cam reviews of real Twins boxing gloves & although these replicas are good copies, there are some glaring differences:
#1: These are not real leather (even though they still have the "Genuine Leather" stamp of the real ones). Authentic ones have a significant grain & supple look to them.
#2: The thumb doesn't curve in as much & it's attached to the glove with a simple black strap. The real ones have them integrated into the glove with the leather itself.
#3: The base of the glove (where it meets the velcro wrist strap) isn't as beefy. The glove is also less round & more flat at the wrist compared to real ones.
#4: The stitching goes right over top of the fuzzy part of the velcro whereas the real ones don't.
#5: I weighed them & they are actually 5.9oz, not 8oz.
Still, for $20.20 Canadian, I'm pretty happy. They look great & are holding up well from hitting my heavy bag so far.
There fake. Rather spend the money and get the actual twins gloves, you'll get better wear out of the legit pair.
2.5 years later & I can honestly say they are one of my favourite pairs of gloves. They've held up well & love hitting & getting hit with them. They've seen their share of bloody noses too.

Nice. Yeah everything is exciting at this stage. I looked up genuine Twins boxing gloves & these are definitely Chinese knock offs. They did a great job copying them, but there a few minor giveaways that are different from the real thing.
I bought a 2nd identical pair from Wish & they arrived as well. Definitely good boxing gloves for the money, but don't pay more than $20 for a pair. (I've seen some sellers on there wanting a lot more).
When you fight and bleed, the blood can be seen in your white boxing gloves..so cool!
And 8oz will definitely mess a guy up too.

I haven't seen them come up for sale again for years now. I wonder if the authentic company pressured them to stop producing dupes?
As of 2024, I do have a genuine pair of white 12oz Twins gloves; they are much higher quality - but a lot more expensive (got them used for $40). Oddly, I still *really* like the cheap ones in this video.

They are definitely not genuine. I love using them though; they've seen their share of blood over the years.

You got fake pairs that’s why. Trash these asap if you don’t want to injure your partner, injure yourself, and give unfair bad rep to the brand.
Nah, it's because it's not real leather, I seen people sell synthetic for quite cheap
@@giorgionotaras22 Twins Specials are handmade from genuine Thai leather. If these are synthetic, then as I said they are fake twins gloves
I got a genuine used pair of 12oz white Twins gloves locally online for $40 a few weeks ago. Definitely a lot more padding & real leather.
Interestingly I find them to be be uncomfortably stiff (especially the cuff around the wrists); it almost feels like wearing a cast. Dare I say, I still like these knockoffs better.
if you are a little bit familiar with boxing gloves you can see that this gloves are absolutely bullshit. too soft, to thin nearly no wrist support, the velcro also looks damn cheap as the seams are....sorry but I would never train with somebody wearing these gloves.
In a twist of irony they've turned out to be my favourite to use; they're so tight that wraps are pretty much optional. Ended up buying a 2nd pair & guys seem to love boxing to a bloody & busted mess with them.

Haha. Well one day I might have a publicly recorded sparring match (I actually have 3 videos so far, but I won't make them public as I am definitely not trained... aka I get my ass kicked).
@@landongendur that depends on who you’re sparring Landon. Because I definitely love the sparring and trading back and forth intense gut punches really getting into it. And if you’re doing it with the right person the best part is making up after the fight

I stopped buying stuff there much of their stuff is cheaper than cheap. You get better deals at yard sales.
I suppose it all depends what you're buying. A lot of the stuff seemed like junk & these gloves were a real surprise.
I already ordered a 2nd pair tonight. $20.70 CAD this time (different seller) so I'll do an update video to see if they match 🥊

Honestly, 99.9% of their stuff looks like poor quality junk. However the gloves (even though they are knock offs) are really good for $20 Canadian. I bought a 2nd pair & they're on their way. We'll see if they are identical or if they vary in quality.

They are definitely not genuine (I have a 12oz pair or real white Twins as well); real ones are better quality.
Still, for the price these fake ones are some of my favourite pair. They actually weigh 6oz even though they are labeled 8oz so they hit hard.
