  • If you have been watching fitness on any form of social media lately, you probably have head of Sam Sulek. In this edition of “AX Jeff,” I am going to dive into my thoughts and feelings about the up-and-coming social media fitness influencer Sam Sulek. I am going to cover not just his training but I am going to dive into what I think is a bigger issue surround Sam and how it relates to today’s gym culture.

    Sam Sulek is known for an unorthodox training approach that might come off as random exercise selection but I think what he is doing is a bit of advanced approach. Sam seems to know immediately whether or not an exercise is going to work for him based on how he feel performing his sets. If he doesn’t feel that the exercise is working the muscles the way he wants them to, he switches it up. You might even find that he uses a machine opposite of what its purpose is.
    For example, you might see him performing partial reps of a hamstring curl using a leg extension machine, Now, you might say that what he’s doing has no merit at all, but it is in fact working for him. He is finding what works best for him and running with it.
    Now, before you go and think that “if it works for Sam Sulek then it will work for me” I would like to remind you that Sam is doing what works in response to his own body and his own genetics. Just because it works for him, doesn’t mean that you should go out and train exactly the same way as him. If I had to bet, you wouldn’t achieve the same results and physique that Sam has.
    Sam's diet is also something of question as he does not appear to adopt a strict nutrition plan in order to build muscle, but instead eats whatever he wants. As he gets older, this approach won't work as well for him and I can say from experience that you can't eat the same way forever. As you get older and your metabolism slows down, the foods you ate in your teens will be less forgiving in your 30's and beyond.
    But this is where I feel I need to delve into his influence and today’s gym culture.
    It is clear that Sam didn’t achieve this physique through hard work and discipline alone, he has gained assistance through other means and it is clear that he is not just dabbling, but instead is abusing. This raises concern for me because he is at the age where he could be my son. If he was, I would spend every single day worrying about his health and future.
    In the world of social media influencers, especially in the realm of fitness, it is easy to see someone that we aspire to be like and want to take all the necessary steps to be just like them. I have no doubt that there are young, impressionable followers that are going to take a look at Sam and want to build muscle just like he does. That inherently means that there are people who will want to try to take the same things that Sam does in order to look like he does.
    I think that the discussion around steroids and PEDs has become so normalized these days that younger and younger kids are starting to jump on the bandwagon. People are learning from their favorite influencers what they take, how much they take, and how often they take it which gives their audience a roadmap to do it themselves. This can be extremely dangerous and I have seen young men dropping dead at an alarming rate like I’ve never seen before.
    When I was growing up and started training, there were obviously people in my gym that were clearly on something, but you didn't hear of them dying, especially in their younger years. Jesse even relayed a story about an acquaintance that had been using and passed away in his 20's. This is not normal and nor should it ever become normal.
    Instead, I think that we should be more aware of the side effects and dangerous that comes with abusing steroids and PEDs. I don't want to see today's gym culture become entranced with the use of drugs, but instead take a healthy and natural approach to building muscle. The desensitization to the use of steroids and PEDs has led to younger and younger audiences trying their hand and leading to many untimely deaths.

    I believe some 70 years from now, people are gonna read and watch documentaries about how social media companies just ruined billions of lives in our time, and they are gonna be perplexed about how we just let it happen.
    Thanks for not just letting it happen, Jeff! And thanks for showing kids the bright side of the force!

      We let it happen because we are an fat phobic society. We teach people that if your abs ain't visible, you are wrong as a man. Not everybody's perfectly healthy state includes visible abs.
      This leads to eating disorders as people starve themselves to get that look.
      For your skinny with abs types, they are told they aren't men if they aren't the hulk. This leads to ped use as their natural bulk shape isn't up to par to internet standards, and takes years to achieve on top if that.
      Influencers and companies have been praying on this for decades. Look at all of the diet fads. Look at what wonder drug or food gets pushed every 3 months. Look at these steroid freaks push sugar powder as the key to success to make a quick $$$.
      I blame Hollywood too. These superhero movies push these actors into wild body transformations to look comic book accurate. But no one questions the training these comic book artists get. They are trained to draw bodies as if they are at 0% body fat. It's either perfect bodies so strong that their suits are tight enough to be a second skin, or the characters are very very fat.
      And then we get mad at actors when they say no. We are teaching men to kill themselves for abs and mass.

      lol, this was already happening during arnold's era... and that's 50yrs back already, no one bats an eye.. There just wasn't no social media.. but magazines and stuff had pretty much the same influence as social media.

      true words, bigger is not better. Having a healthy heart and not carrying too much weight if you can is the way to go. But a lot of people take recreational drugs and drink alcohol. A lot of vices out there

      Earlier than mid 30, i had an hernia and other issues on my back because of shitty training, now i am doing all the rigth exercises to fix that mess, don't care anymore to be good looking but rather to have a functional body that make me feel good and healthy

    I totally agree with the comment that Jeff made about "If I was Sam's father, I would be concerned." I never used any performance enhancers or steroids, and I was always very careful to perform lifts correctly. As I told my own boys when they wanted to start lifting, "there are some injuries that surgery cannot always correct."

    I’m 24 years old, came across Jeff about 10 years ago. I’m so grateful he was one of the first fitness influencers I started following and quickly became the only one. Because of him, I’ve been injury free and make gains yearly, all while protecting my body.

      I'm glad you found him early. I'm 40 now and could've absolutely used his info at your ages. While I developed decent technique w/ powerlifting, I knew nothing about muscle imbalances in my younger years which led to chronic neck pain and eventual permanent nerve damage. Be smart, be safe! It's much better than 2 more reps...

    The body dysmorpia is real. Sam is a really well-spoken guy. But wisdom is the alignment of knowledge and behaviors that use that knowledge. We all struggle with something, so I'm not saying I'm perfect either. The point is that we should focus on longevity-minded behaviors over short-term results and fast rewards from a cultural standpoint. Social media is a hell of a drug. Thanks for the wisdom Jeff.

      On the other hand I’ve never seen a single person who follows Athleanx put on any kind of noticeable mass. Jeff is mostly good for PT stuff, and by good I mean possibly one of the best in the world. But putting on muscle so you look muscular in shirt that aren’t medium? I wouldn’t bet on it.

      Your comment disregard the fact that Jeff’s background is PT for athletes in sports such as Baseball, where athletes train not just for mass-gaining but to also be able to perform in those said sports. The premise of your comment is fundamentally flawed.

      @@pierrea3094 Maybe Jeff's followers don't prioritize mass. I know I don't, but I still have more mass than most just from maingaining for a couple years. Jesse has an impressive deadlift too. Jeff has programs and content for all kinds of goals. It's easy to get unrealistic expectations when you're constantly watching content made by steroid users. Maybe all of the physiques you consider impressive are unnatural.

    People need to understand that these 2 guys just expressed more care and concern for these bodybuilder kids than 99 percent of their own fans. These bodybuilder kids are gonna die soon. Rich piana was the heisenburg of bodybuilding and even he knew the end was coming. He didn't even make it to retirement age

    I am 47 now but ego lifted a lot when I was young. I have always been completely clean but was putting up serious numbers, 425 bench, 640 on squat, etc. It was all fine and good until I started to move into my 30s. Now, I have had two neck surgeries, left shoulder surgery, three elbow surgeries, five knee surgeries, and am now pending a right shoulder surgery and right foot surgery. I don't remember the last time I was not in some pain and I am constantly working around injuries now. Even though I am 47 my joints probably have 100 years of wear and tear on them. I am still in good shape and when I warn the younger guys at my gym about being smart now so they don't end up like me later they say things like "you're still jacked that doesn't seem like a bad way to come out." Its like all they see is how I look. The fact that my joints are wrecked doesn't register with them. If you are a young lifter please stay out of the ego lifting, or else you can look back 20 to 30 years from now wishing you could take it all back.

      I used to be like that but with body posture and bad habits for tendons
      Always was warned by parents but always felt great so always dismissed, now I'm 28 and my back has its bad moments and my hands tendons hurt like hell sometimes when I use phone too much and just now I'm realising I have to be conscious about this if I want to be a 50 year old with a healthy body. It's still boring to bother about it but at least now I see it and bother, young guys have a tendency to not see it and when they start seein it they just don't bother, good on you for at least trying to give your advice.

      As an add to this. I am 60, never lifted really heavily, but enough to feel I was doing ok. I managed 132.5kg on deadlift which was my highest weight about 2 years ago. Two days later washing the car, I turned and bent at the same time, and bang! That was it. Now I have had back issues before, going back to my 20s. Turns out one leg is longer than the other, plus I broke an ankle really badly so I have minor mobility issues. So I started off already with an inherent weakness and now I have constant lower back pain. To the point of I sit down for a couple of hours, I can only move bent over like I'm 80 for about 2 minutes. What I am saying Is, be aware of your existing asymmetries and limitations, and work to strengthen or correct them before you go big.

      @@daveaglasgow I can't speak for Mega .. but in my case, yeah, my response might have been similar. However, nobody said things of that nature to me at the time to be sure what my response would have been. So good on Mega for sharing his experiential wisdom at least.

      A question for the fairly young old-timers in this thread. I'm 36, and I've been working out on and off for fun for about six or seven years now. As you can imagine, I don't aspire for anything with lifting. It's just something I do for health and fun. I bench about 60 kilos and squat maybe 80. Those are my comfortable weights right now. They increase over time, but very slowly. So my question is: from your experience, what would be a reasonable, safe weight cap for benching and squatting (and maybe some other exercises), for someone in their 30s and 40s who's in real good health, doesn't drink or smoke, never needed major surgeries and eats semi-healthy?

    I think that's a really really fair assessment of Sam. My son is 10, and I am definitely not the biggest guy, but I am trying to introduce him into natural only gym work now, so that he never wants to go that route. I have hit plateaus and been so tempted, even looked up how to buy them, but snap myself out of it, re-adjust my workout, push even harder and get through slowly. Especially after a left arm injury, it's only just catching up after 2 years but it's been even more tempting to cheat, but I never will give in.

      The ones that make the inluencers influencers are the people who follow them. You can't blame someone who you made popular . The reason behind this path that fitness is taking in the internet is uneducated people that don't have the knowledge to even start to coprehend how to achieve a certain physic therefore have no opinion so they just blindly follow the guys that have "made it".

    Thank goodness for this video! I’m getting back into weights after a 20 year lay off and my 14 year old son has started with me. He started watching Sam Sulek videos and I watched a few episodes with him. Every episode I told my son ‘he’s going to have a heart attack doing this’. I’ve sent this video to him to get a balanced view. Thank you. Your other videos are helping me out massively even after only finding you today!! Learning loads (even at 49!)

      Glad you're back at it! But make this a lifestyle brother, because the lifting actually gives you the life-balance you need to handle all the other shit. Been a teacher for 29 years and can't imagine this crazy job if I didn't have the gym as an outlet. Weight training is the hardest thing some of us will ever love....and dieting. Am 57 now and been at it 41 years and still learning. Congrats on lifting with your boy, as there are not many better feelings in this life.

      I'm going through the EXACT same thing. My 14 year old has a mild case of body dismorphia... He wants to be huge like these influencers and is so impatient!! He wants creatine, he wants to lift 7 days a week and masa gainer, etc.. I'm like dude, you're the biggest kid in your school - what's the problem?

    Hi, I’m actually glad you spoke out like this because I am a former championship bodybuilder in Utah. I did everything natural so I never made it to heavyweight division. Now. When I go into the gym, all I see is what you’re talking about and you’re right, it didn’t used to be that way, if you want to say “back in the day.” I was very fortunate to meet world class champions in the past and when I asked what I needed to do to increase my performance to compete and win, there wasn’t one reference about “cycling”, and this particular world champion was cycling. She was my height 5’4” and was at least 3 times the size of me. She had to be as the World Champion that she was. She told me what I needed for my body and did not attempt to influence me to gain. That is wisdom and championship influence. Going on TikTok, my step grandson must be watching this guy. He is barely 16. We know he’s following someone on TikTok and it’s probably somebody like this, because he is all of about 90 pounds and 5’7 and getting taller. He is eating really strange and he’s doing the strangest exercises to gain gain gain. He’s Not cycling as of yet. He’s not paying attention to anything that we have to say. the The power of these young influencers, unfortunately because of their youth, don’t really know how much they’re influencing younger kids.
    I give you a big high five for standing up to this because I agree. I don’t want to see any more young adults think that this is the only way to be, the only way to success, the only way to be noticed.
    I love your channel. You’re the only one I watch for bodybuilding because you’re very clear and you make sure what works and doesn’t. My daughter watches as well. I’m going to send this to him so he can see. Maybe you’ll influence him for the good. Waiting for part 2.

      The "invention" of SARMs has had a huge impact on "normal" guys achieving huge gains that maybe wouldnt be possible otherwise. Its so easily accessible because of its legality, and you can just take a tablet once a day instead of sticking a needle in your veins. Sure SARMs are a lot safer than steroids, but everything can be abused.

      The problem is the desire to look jacked. First, the "jacked" look looks stupid unless you have flawless posture, relaxed limbs and move comfortably in your own skin (which most jacked guy don't). Second, it's unattainable for most people unless they're cycling. Jeff's physique is a better one to strive for, even Jesse's. Go natural.

    As a father of a 12-year old boy, I have great empathy for what Jeff is saying. The thought of my own son being influenced to take PED's in order to chase the dream of being ultra-jacked is terrifying because of the long-term health consequences.

    Channels like this are absolutely priceless... Putting an emphasis on actual fitness rather than being Arnold in his prime jacked is what is truly important. I'm 34 and I never really took care of myself, but I was never really "fat"... I mean, I'm 6ft almost 200lbs, but I have 2 little kids that I want to be active for and be in their lives for as long as I can... and I won't be able to do that if I keep eating like this and not exercising and giving my body the care and attention it deserves. Thus, I've committed to eating healthier and exercising more. Not only so I can feel better about myself, but also the longevity aspect... Guys who are looking to get as jacked as Sam I don't think are going to last as long in life. Arnold might be a freak miracle tho... dude is almost 80 years old and still exercises like a beast, he must have freakish genes.

    Back in the late 70's and early 80's when I was lifting heavily several of my lifting buddies were cycling on steroids. You could certainly see the changes coming quickly, but it wasn't something I was willing to risk. I couldn't lift as much nor did I get as big but I was and still am healthy.

    Jeff is the real deal! Down to earth and a living example of what he preaches; Jessie is cool too, obviously converted to Jeff's guidance. I'm 68, former Army Ranger, and I still incorporate Jeff's guidance in my fitness routines. I knew guys on "the juice" and they were crazy to look at, much less be around....and 75% of them are now GONE! Thanx Jeff (and Jessie) for gettin' this thought process out there!!

      The data is clear - obesity is obesity it doesn't matter if the weight is fat or muscle. Once humans get beyond a certain size (and we have to work REALLY HARD to do this) they drop dead 100% of the time.

      I’m on gear and let me tell you , it’s not a magic wand. The gear doesn’t eat or lift for you. If you’re natural that’s perfectly fine. I was for 10 years. But let’s not act like once you hop on you no longer have to work hard. In fact it’s almost harder. You have to adopt a whole new nutrition and vitamin plan. You have to stick to your pins. You have to learn to mitigate sides and make sure you’re getting the absolute most from your life and diet otherwise it’s all for nothing. To each their own but cmon bro.

      I’m 236 fairly lean and don’t take supplements. Waste of money. Don’t need much protein like these YT salesmen want you to believe. Just lift heavy like 5x5 and lift 3x/week.

    I started working out a year ago, and I learned most of what I know from Jeff. I’m not young. I’m 43, and the results were coming slowly, but surely. I definitely agree with you Jeff. We should always strive to become stronger, with a solid foundation and build up from there without relying on drugs that promise quick results. Slow is solid, more healthy and you get to see a great transformation in the end. I’m so proud of the slow but steady results I have achieved so far and I’m not stopping. And a big thanks to Jeff who really helped me along the way and I’m enjoying a stronger healthier and a more beautiful body, injury free because of that. Don’t be too impatient to get results, kids. Stay safe and stay away from drugs.

      The drugs have side effects, even if it's just testosterone replacement. It all comes at a cost.
      Good work on getting into fitness, just some advice, don't neglect your recovery, stretching, and cardio. Far too many people are just purely gym junkies and they may get big, but that's all they'll get.
      Someone that's fit, strong, lean, and actually functional like Jeff, is way better than being just huge.
      Look at Ronnie Coleman. He was huge, now he's crippled.

      @@Kushibunny I can't agree more! Actually Jeff's physique is the best example to strive for, well in my opinion of course. I'm not after growing big and bulky; I am after a stronger, leaner and more functional body that may last me for the rest of my life. And I can't agree more on using drugs which promise fast results but at a cost and sometimes the cost is just too high. I learned from Jeff to reach out for what I want in my training journey, but not to get carried away. Long term results that come slower are the best because they last much longer and don't have negative effects on your health in the long run!!

    For anyone wanting to see exactly how this goes with Sam just look into Zyzz, it's the same story on repeat right now. Dude gets huge, becomes insanely famous, massive impact on the industry, then one day it all just fizzles. Zyzz passing was devastating for so many people, he was a rock for many and loved by many and honestly it'll really suck if the ending really is the same again here.

    I’m 27 years old. The thought that people drop dead from steroid use at my age is crazy. To any younger person reading this, don’t look up to lifters who are clearly using steroids. There are so many natural lifters with great physiques.

    As a woman who at 36 started lifting a year ago, I've only really just started understanding the body building world and tbh, the women are no different it seems. I've watched a few female builders doing Q&As on 'supplements' and the one supplement giving them unnatural levels of strength is the one they never mention, even though you can hear it in their voices and see it on their faces. The world's gone mad. So, I want to thank you Jeff and Jessie, for showing concern. It is concerning and more people should be concerned about the seeming epidemic of PED use, across the board. Also, why isn't this stuff banned in competing, like it is for other sports? The mind boggles on that one tbh.

    Sam def has structure for his workouts. He goes in with movements and body parts he plans to train, but has the flexibility and intuitiveness to get that work done in a number of ways, based on machines available and how his body feels that day. Obviously geared out, but not random, not by accident, not lacking structure. I hope he stays healthy, cuz he seems like a really good kid/cool dude.

      Young hearts are very strong, and when you are that young you’re more resilient to feeling any of the sides. This makes him feel like he can keep going with all he is taking and feel that he is above the health detriments.

    This is so heart breaking to see that major influencers are not using their platform in a clean and positive way to help others. Thank you Jeff and Jesse for hitting the topics that a lot of people in this industry don’t talk about because they are scared of losing followers and I have a huge respect for the way you teach all generations proper techniques and helpful healthy ways to improve peoples lives in a positive way. Coming from someone that is disabled I follow your videos and training very close because I worry about my health. Because of you Jeff I am getting stronger all the time because I stick with my training in a clean and correct way of training.     I'm 60. When I started lifting in junior high, my buddy and I worshiped Arnold. At some point, we realized we couldn't look like him without taking steroids and we didn't want to do that. My friend entered a powerlifting competition in high school and even then, a 17 year old that won was on steroids. I agree that what works for one person may not work for you. I heard a saying that if we were all alike, we wouldn't need doctors just mechanics. Just look at allergies, some people have none, some a few, others have lots. Our bodies all respond differently.     i guess im so very lucky that jeff was my first ever idol for fitness, since i was 16. i even bought AX1 after a few months of watching this youtube channel.
    what attracted me was Jeff's science based philosophy and his advocate of a no short-cut approach. other TH-camrs were ahowing me short-cuts, bulk-and-cuts, etc. but it felt wrong.
    thanks Jeff for being a role model for all of us. especially for me, for the past 10 years.

    Sam in young. I never used anything. At his age my goal was only getting stronger and bigger. It wasn't tell I was in my 30s I noticed I could squat 400 pounds but couldn't hike a mile with my kids. It was at that point I reevaluated my goals and started trying to be healthier heart wise for my kids and grandkids. Now I am 50. I can't squat 400 pounds but my daughter and I climber a 4000 foot mountain then did a back work out after right after.

    As a father to a 6 year old boy, thank you for your genuine honesty in this video. It resonates with me. It isn't hating, it's about wanting the best outcomes. I think we can all see Sam is mega-impressive, but you only have one body.

      Yeah, one body and one life. And the influencer body builder (may he rest in peace) who died at 30 was being monitored by doctors. He could afford world class healthcare, was meeting regularly with doctors getting blood work etc and yet he still died way too young. You just don't know the damage you are doing to yourself internally with these drugs, and it's not worth the risk. Even if with tons of money and world class doctors, there's still a chance of very serious health complications and ultimately even death. My thing is this, you are ballooning up your muscles but that's not the only thing going on under the hood. You can't see your heart and liver, have no idea what kind of damage is being done internally and it may all end very quickly even if you have the best healthcare monitoring your blood work etc every 6 months. It's just not worth it imo.

      I used to lookup to Arnold and he is 35 years older than me not sure why some 20 year old would listen to a 20 year old for advise on workouts lol. Its a form of evolution the idiots dont make it past 25 years 😂

    My coworkers and I spar a lot for training(security) and they ask for my 'secret' of strength, I always tell them 'facepulls' and send them your videos. They have helped me in so many ways Jeff

    We're so used to criticizing women's magazines and models for setting unrealistic expectations and focusing on external looks. Why not have the same scrutiny for fitness influencers? the fitness industry, at its core, is about well being and improving your mental & physical health. PEDs are so far removed from the point. you wanna really 1-up someone that looks puffy from steroids? ignore that cuck and face the challenge of winning your own body with your own body. my heart is truly broken whenever i see someone flexing muscles that they borrowed from a needle, it's pathetic and leading the young impressionable trainees to do some life changing mistakes.

    Case Study:
    Unless he makes some changes to his “supplements”, I doubt he sees age 30.
    In terms of his appearance and young men wanting to look like him….What is your goal? Who do you want to impress?
    This is not related to sexual preference……as I respect all……
    This physique might impress guys…..but very few women are attracted to such a physique.
    Much better off looking like a track sprinter, gymnastic or American Football cornerback or WR than an extremely yolked bodybuilder if attracting women is your goal.

    Seems a bit “body dysmorphic” in the way that he both looks and what he’s willing to do to get there (steroids, etc). He’s worked hard, no doubt he’s earned the muscle gain but I have to wonder… what’s the cost? He’s so young. And he’s got kids watching… wondering if they should do the same…

    I'm 70 and been in gyms for over 47 years. I have seen lots of guy's on steroids. The ones that were addicted to them either died or are having major health problems by the time they are early 50's. I knew one 25 year old that died in the gym that was on steroids. His aorta burst.

    I've been watching this channel's videos since I was 16 and now that I'm 23 and seeing some of my peers getting into fitness and watching Sam's videos start getting interested in PEDs... I have nothing but concern, and you're right about the influence figures like Sam has on his audience. They're so young, and could do better for themselves by just following the advice you've given us over the years.

    Everyone we look up to when we start is on something and the people who aren’t open are the problem. When I started training, I thought the Rock was natty. I got my brother into the gym and he was surprised when I told him CBum wasn’t natural, he thought the Olympia was drug tested. Most people I speak to think I’m just jealous when I tell them that Chris Hemsworth takes steroids. Guys are training for the first 18 months and then the realisation hits them when their gains slow down that everyone was lying and there’s only one way to reach their goals. The current estimate in the UK is that 500,000 teenagers take steroids, that’s about 1 out of 16. This is a global epidemic and education is desperately needed.

    Absolutely! Right on! I am grateful that I never did any type of PED's, Steroids etc and I am now 57. However, even some coaches can be influencers. I took a terrific squat/deadlift workshop in 2019 from a world renowned coach. Now, I am a very small boned guy, and very short (5.7). After the workshop the coach (who is in his 60's) advised me to start taking TRT. Not check with your physician to see if you are low on testosterone, just take it. I was certainly not offended, but my levels are very good for 57, and I have NO intention of putting that @#$% in me unless it is medically necessary. Thank you Jeff for this video, it is a real problem out there!

      First of all, you are not short! Second, you are correct about TRT. I take it because previous to TRT my numbers were less than 80 when they should be 400-600 at age 63. Also, per my endocrinologist, TRT cannot compensate for lack of genetic tendencies towards strength or muscle mass. After 10 years on TRT I can attest to that.

    I’m 37 been hitting the gym since early 20s nothing too crazy but I strive to stay fit and healthy. Healthy diet and and healthy exercise is the way to go because I feel like I have not age at all and most people are always shock when I tell them my age everyone things I’m in my mid 20s.

    My son is 14 and is in gym 5 days a week. His diet is 100% clean. Does cycle creatine and loves his whey but that's it. I'm super proud of him. I didn't get my training shit together until 30! So, all I can do as a Dad is introduce him to guys like Jeff, Greg O Gallagher... he does follow some influencers but naturals. Great stuff Jeff.

    I find these videos really helpful. I used to go to the gym and see guys like Sam and think that I was doing something wrong, so I would workout more but never see those results. Now I know it’s not that they’re doing something right, but most likely PEDs. I now have more of a physique like Jeff from working out naturally. Thanks Jeff!

      Not really. Most of the deaths have been from men taking extreme doses and simultaneously taking party drugs while drinking terrifying amounts of stimulants and booze. The Rock is an example of a steroid user who has lived pretty damn long.

    Listening to old school builders advise on how they would change their approach if they could go back. Along with, seeing Ronnie have to duck walk onto stage one time due to the pain he has endured was enough for me to not be overly ambitious when it comes to gaining muscle. Of course many will say this is just my excuse because im weak minded. But im only 28 and im starting to see the changes with age. My energy level is different, my back and neck gets more stiff in the morning, even my left hip will do this weird thing if i move wrong which will make it hard to walk. I think this is because i had to take a break working out due to getting shot right below my right knee. It has healed now, but i put more stress on my left side. So in conclusion, i understand the concerns because age, pain, and death is real.

    The fact that the fitness industry isn't pushing back at Sam Sulek's rise more is crazy to me. How it is that someone who spends all their time in the gym *exercising* is considerably less healthy than someone entirely bone idle (probably even obese) really shows how far removed modern society is from human nature.
