I have commented many times because I do feel a kindred spirit within. When you showed your Christmas curtains, I had to pause and go back for a second look. Our master bedroom curtains, that I made and lined, I believe are the same print, Country House Toile by Waverly? I too love layering and so the sheers have woven bees, the main curtain is tied back and just skims the floor and the valance is a Buffalo black and cream to compliment the nubby black and cream toile. So much fun to design something new in an older place. I have been sewing for 64 yrs now and still enjoy creating beautiful vignettes. I vicariously live thru you in home decore style, color, items you name it. You pull it all put together so nice, in my opinion it's inviting..liveable..not so..that one would be afaird to sit on your sofas, tables and chairs, use the pillows (or could I wrong?) I thrift, here and there been SO lucky to find somethings that has a strong resemblance ...to your/my style for CHEAP! so within time my surroundings feel as rich. Bev, my goodness I could just move in your house and feel right at home! I’m always fascinated when I watch videos and see magazines that make you feel a familiarity with someone you’ve never met. What makes us choose French over Modern, Modern over Asian and so on. I’m from the early 70’ and even as child visiting other friends homes I paid attention to the decor in their homes. I’ve always loved the French/English country style. I sometimes feel our ancestry funny enough may play a part. I say that because I’ve traveled over the years overseas and feel in love with certain countries and decor. And years later only to discover some nationalities I didn’t know I was that coincided with the the countries and decor I love so much! Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

I know that you are the maestro of Decour. May I offer a humble suggestion for the mirror above the step back board? Try leaning the top of the mirror outward about 2 or 3, maybe 4 inches leaving the bottom against the wall. Thinking it will eliminate the reflection of the ceiling lights, also lend more reflection on what beautiful items that could be placed on top of the step back. You might consider filling in the gap behind the mirror top with greens. Just thinking, that’s all. Love you, Bev.

I agree with leaning the mirror top outward. I attached short wires to the upper portion and braced bottom against the back of the shelf, and it does avoid reflections not desired. ❤❤❤ You do amaze me with all you do. So beautiful.

Hello. Nice items! When I saw the cabinet sitting in stark contrast to the sofa and wall color I thought perhaps it should be placed "caddy" corner and the style of the mirror looked odd over it. But, once you topped it off with the lovely items, it softened the look of the cabinet next to the sofa. Thanks for sharing!

I agree with leaning the mirror top outward. I attached short wires to the upper portion and braced bottom against the back of the shelf, and it does avoid reflections not desired. ❤❤❤ You do amaze me with all you do. So beautiful.
The mirror will be removed to make room for the curtain rod. I decided my botanicals need to be there😊. Happy Monday!🌷

Hello. Nice items! When I saw the cabinet sitting in stark contrast to the sofa and wall color I thought perhaps it should be placed "caddy" corner and the style of the mirror looked odd over it. But, once you topped it off with the lovely items, it softened the look of the cabinet next to the sofa. Thanks for sharing!
