@@TheDownrankTrain the trick is not to overexpand. Secure Reikland and Nuln (for the guns and cuz they are annoying cunts) and keep on leveling lords and settlements. Vladdie boi actually does you a favor by letting you farm rebellions and bringing nice stacks of cannon fodder for your rockets.

Does the AI not getting penalties from Grudges ?
A lot of these games will just let the AI "cheat" rather than manage things like that. I know the AI still has to deal with income and order, but I wouldn't be surprised if they get a pass on things like Grudges or Imperial Authority, especially because it would really easy for someone to cheese it out. Force a grudge where you have to kill a certain Lord and then send him way out of the reach of the Dwarfs until they burn.
I swear I've seen AI attrition from being bankrupt, maybe I'm just imagining things, or they patched it out.

My Record was -3012 of reputation with the dwarfs. Playing as lokir. Just used my Black arks to keep looting dawi coastal settlements tô fuel my war against h elfs.
That's the biggest book of grudges I've heard of. Makes me want to steal some more Bugman's ale

Why would anyone ever try to fuel the war effort with loot money... you just build more slave pits and use assassins and beastmasters to bolster the income.

Wanna know how to win Arkhan? Make friends with the Dwarves by shoveling gold at them nonstop. Become best buddies. Become Trusted Allies, have them defend you in war. Your main city can never be taken. I made allies with all the humans and dwarves, they were my buffer states. I used to them guard the northern access to Arkhan while I cut a bloody swathe straight to the heart of Khemri. Killed that bitchmade Setra by turn 20, and took his lands for my own. The only threat I ever had was the ordertide, but by then I had as many armies as you can field, and they all had scorpions and war sphinx's. One giant unstoppable force of fuck. Dunno might only work on Legendary though with the AI.
Gold is so hard to get as TK faction without building demolish cheese.

in my first game as lothern i had been allies with the ordertide the entire game,(max friendship all factions). and had basically won the game. when suddenly a random dwarf faction declared war on me out of nowhere that was also allied with all the other factions.... LITERALLY EVERY FACTION LEFT IN THE GAME including 124 settlement KK declared war on me.... fast forward 1k turns and countless cheesed battles and i finally wiped out everyfaction on the map except for one tomb king faction that were my forever friend
Do a campaign with with the legendary lord Craventail. Last time I played him, the elves got so powerful that even two armies with high-tiered units got destroyed by one army full of Sea Guards and White Lions.
skaven army: 1 lord 'preferable lore of plauge', 4-5 plauge casters, 4-5 ratling guns, 1 wind globe bombardier, 1 warlock engineer, 4 plague catapult, and the rest jezailies, btw stormvermin are litteraly worse then skaven slaves SO NEVER TAKE THEM in campaing

@@Fire_of756 @Mikail Ahmed CMIIW, but when you play skaven.......... Only use their Infantry on the early game stage, use Lord or hero to hold the enemy while your missile unit do all the damage, it's okay to have 2 clan rats combined with menace from below as a fodder to give time for ur missile and artillery to diss out damage, but to use them as a real infantry and not a replaceable fodder after every battle is a no-no, having more than 2 unit of infantry in an army when you almost reach 100 turns is ewwww, you might want to review your campaign state again
@@Fire_of756 My personal recommendation (all my elite armies follow this pattern somewhat), are the following :
Lord : Ikit (absurdly powerfull on a doomwheel) or Tretch (vangard deployment is great. If not, warlock Master or, preferably Plague Grey Seer. Preferably with the confident trait (+4 leadership)
Heroes : 2 Plague priests (their jobs is to be to road blocker and crowd control. They summon clan rats, so your "true" army don't die. 1 warlock Engie close to the missiles (buff the missiles + main anti air hero with the spell that block flyers)
Army : 2 cannons and 3 catapult as your main Long range damage dealer (cannonc focus chariots, monsters and cav, while catapult looks for blobs) and they works great for destroying towers in 1 and a half volley during siege.
3 Jezzails and 4 ratlings guns, they are your back bone. The Jezzails focus single entity hero/lord, long range missiles like way-watchers or shadow warriors (the like your catapult can't handle well) while the ratlings just obliterate everything that come close.
1 warp grinder and 1 poison wind mortar. Mortar has the same use as catapults. But they spread the damage and reduce the hp of the whole unit they hit. Plus they are not very accurate and ae capable of hiting multiple units at once (beware friendly fir though). Warp grinder are used as a road blocker to protect the arta. But their main purposes are in siege attacks. Warpgrinder destroy walls for free, so your weapon teams can gain access inside, or shoot through the hole. and the mortars are absurdly OP in siege attacks, especially if you micro them to use their ammo sparely.
1 warpfire thrower : I like them as heavy blob blower... Great at dealing with enormous blobs extremely fast. But only good at that, or roasting 1 charging ennemy infantry unit. They are very niche and could be replaced. I just like them especially in siege.
My last pick is an Assassin (hero) (also can be replace if you like, he is not core) He gets some uses as either anti hero chaser, road blocker/ blob generater, or assassinate pesky ennemy agent roaming arround my army. The extra replenishment helps heal your heroes mainly... Your units should not take that much damage since it's your heroes (and their summons) job to distract the enemy army while your superior technology blast them to the moon.
Pros and Cons:
Pros: Pretty reliable and great in almost every situation. Can consistently achieve victories with 0 casualty. Good against all race (weakest against HE if they have a lot of flying monster, or spam archers) Extremely efficient during siege.
Cons: Very VERY weak to Ambush (counter ambush in the blue line can be a must if you are facing ambush heavy faction). A bit Micro intensive on your plague priests, and focus fire (gotta make sure to eliminate them efficiently while none of them can access your guns). Somewhat weak if your plague priest are low levels and don't have access to summons yet, or if winds of magics are very low... If your lord does not have access to lore of ruin (is not ikit or a master engie/Grey seer ruin) can get overwhelmed by an enemy air force since is you can't stop them using 1 spell... Prefer to be on the attacking side (prf with lightning dtrike, that could help). Maybe needs Skryre unlimited drums from time to time.
With practice you will get better at protecting your gun lines, and will learn what formations works the best (I have 3 formations depending on the terrain and army I am facing)
@@cluelessaf8974 I like to have 3 Stormvermin on Queek's army (1 with shield) and 1 groupe of assassin to assist the shielded variant dealing with armor. I sacrifice a bit of missile power doing it. But it's a thematic army, and Queek buff quite absurdly well the sturm vermins... I agree, Queek's army is weaker than my more elite and modern armies (ikit's especially) but it's still somewhat viable, and it bring some variety to my battles, which is welcome :)

My take away here is that you managed to thwart the Order Tide on Legendary difficult with literally the worst faction of Tomb Kings. Bravo! Also very funny! So double Bravo!
Is Arkhan the worst? His start position is pretty bad but I didn't think he was terrible
@@gamingrambles (all of this is subject to my experience and as such should be taken only as seriously as you want to)
Tomb Kings by the by are one of the better factions in the game. They still are, even with all the new DLC since they're release. However between them the Mortal Empires Campaign for Khalida, Khatep, and Arkhan are pretty bad. Khatep is the only one in competition with Arkhan for the worst though. The problem with Arkhan is that he gives no real faction buffs like the others do, If memory serves he gives some small buffs to Tomb Scorpions but I love them least... they sort of sit in that grey area where I question their use because by the time you can get them you usually can get Khemrian War Sphynxs and other better units if not at the same time very soon after. Also the Vampire Units he has access to, the unique feature of his character... they suck... I hate Crypt Ghouls and the Bats are only good in a very limited capacity. Khatep is at least able to buff Liche Priests and get you access to more which makes him have some cheese options. Arkhan is still a Tomb King and as such doesn't suck like Beastmen or Chaos to play...
BTW I hate Khatep's start the most. By a large margin so its funny you mention Arkhan's start.
Also this relates only to ME... I think Khatep's start is far superior to Arkhan's on Vortex.
This gave me ptsd back to my arkhan campaign. But instead of the drawves declaring war on me, it was those damn elves.
Regarding the situation at 3:27, where your lord cannot ambush, while having 34% movement. Heroes are the reason why. If you meet this again, move the heroes out of the army, ambush, move them back in.

Result: skeggi killed mazdamundi And declared war on me, cult of pleasure And naggarond at war with me And of course grimgor that got ALL the mointains wasteland And os beating hard the last Defenders os also at war with me. My income is 3000g And I only have 2 good armies And 2 other shitty armies of spearmen And Archers to quell rebelions And constantly defending. It's turn 120 And I'm begging for the chaos.invasion to come And save me by attacking naggarond.

im doing a settra campaign and louen is my karaz a karak, he confederated repanse and left after taking 5 settlements so I took those from him and am currently on turn 148, have been fending off bretonnian army raids since turn 112. settra's decree is no bretonnians allowed in araby and so far its been done

i actualy cant understand have cant u win againts dwars easily as tomb king, especialy when they dont have any cav, never had prob with that
Simple Tomb Kings can’t pump out enough AP to deal with the Dawitide, by the time you secure Southlands and Nehekara as your core territory the Dwarfs will likely have full stacks of Longbeards and Ironbreakers, and the unit caps tied to building mean you can’t run multiple full stacks of War Sphinxes, Ushabti, and Tomb Scorpions, so you might be able to beat two Dawi Doom Stacks led by Ungrim and Grombrindal with your Anti-Dwarf Stack at Khemri, but at the same time Belagar and Thorgrim are attacking Numas, and if you’re weaker army isn’t able to defend Numas then you lose a precious tier 5 settlements and can’t replace any lost Tomb Scorpions or Ushabti Greatbows lost at Khemri, so losing territory results in a Death Spiral where you can’t recuperate the unit you need to beat the Dawi, and this is assuming that the Dwarfs didn’t bring the entire Ordertide into the War with them.

My Scorpion Doomstack illustrates how I managed to overcome the dwarves, get an absurd number of heroic victories and beat the campaign. I would check that one out

Kk I happened to find Morghur and defeating him gives you 30% missile resistance. I got SUPER lucky. Also Ungrim gives you another 5% and some items also add to your missile resistance

@@gamingrambles I know that pain, I mean right now I have the pain of playing an Imrik campaign which really means I just gave up and restarted the campaign again.
Because holy shit its not fun to be surrounded by things that move better than you and can use the underpass. The skaven have a swamp area they can get straight to your building from yet you have to go around for like 5 turns to get where they could in one or two turns.
Honestly I probably get bored earlier since my PC doesn't exactly load the game fast.

So apparently that's a bug in the game that goes away if you send the heroes out of your army. So you can send all the heroes out of your army, go into ambush stance and place them back in

Now try it without cheesing the AI with lord baiting them to waste all their ammo, which reduces their balance of power massively allowing for easy wins. :)
