You are in my top 5 fly tiers on TH-cam, there’s no BS straight to the point and anyone one can follow from a beginner to a season tier. Thank you Barry.
There's videos of tying flies, and then there are videos of tying masterpieces. Beautifully done! Now I'm going to be up all night binge watching more of your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I really like this pattern and am excited to tie up some of these. This is such a Great technique and I appreciate you showing how to do this type of fly. Thank you
I am fairly new to fly tying.... and this is my first fly tied... and i can say youre videos are ones of the best on youtube . Please don't stop.. every time i want to try a new fly i always refer back to your videos
He definitely is one of, if not the best fly tying teachers on TH-cam! I sincerely hope that you are still tying flies and enjoying it as much as I do! Keep on bending feathers and catching the big fish!
well Barry got to put them to the test I was lucky enough to be camping and fishing the white river in Michigan over the labor day weekend and just so happened there was a hatch of pure white mayflys and thanks to you I had the right fly for the job it was a blast I had trout taking naturals 3 feet away from me in waist deep water and they didnt care I was there onebit but your fly performed flawlessly and I had a blast thanks again for the videos and the great times
Well done Barry, you turned out another beauty. Even though they twist the heck out of a leader and get torn to shreds after a few fish, they are extremely effective and are great fun to tie. I do find that I get a more natural looking wing if I tie the in feather convex side down.
Hi Paulo, thanks. Yes they are very effective but they are not meant for lots of fals casting, this will definitely twist your leader. This was designed for small chalk stream fishing where a single cast or a simple roll cast will cover the opposite bank. If you tie them in convex side down I'm pretty sure that they will helicopter even more when casting... Good luck with it!

That's a alsome fly!!. It looks just like a Mayfly here in Alabama, U.S. I'm going to try and tie this fly to Bluegill fish with. I've watched a lot of videos on fly tying and your the BEST !!! PLEASE, keep the video's coming. Thanks Mike Walters

@@Thefeatherbender I definitely would by your book but since money is tight right now I'm sorry but I can not I've started to sell flies on a small scale just from learning from your videos thank you so much you are inspired me so young at 11 years old most of my other friends aren't interested in tying flies they mostly want to play a video games or sports I don't have money materials but I make the most out of what I have I find feathers all my ducks my chickens and turkeys and I use those most of the time or I will pick the shedding fur off of my rabbit and use that as dubbing
Thank you! Been looking for a low material tie to match some of the Mayflies here in Ontario, Canada. I think this is going to do the trick quite well.
If anyone has trouble when pulling the two strands and they just pull off the stem, it is recommended that you soak the feather for at least ten minutes to soften the feather. This works every time.
Barry, I am always mesmerized watching your tying videos, and appreciate them immensely. Thank you so vey much for sharing and teaching. This is a fantastic fly. How durable is the fly? It's a fish magnet, so reckon it would get hit pretty hard. Is there anything you could think of that would add to the durability if it is susceptible at all? Thanks again.
Thanks Mark, always great to hear from viewers and get positive feedback! It holds up pretty well actually, I always say its better getting one fish on a fly farther than none, and its very quick and inexpensive to tie.
Hi Carl, no not Dyneema here, Sheer 14/0 thread. It holds up pretty well actually, I always say its better getting one fish on a fly farther than none, and its very quick and inexpensive to tie.
I’ve been tying these for years and NEVER thought of using a resin tip. Game changer!!! Huge thanks!!

Thanks Cheri.
The best!!! showww!!!!
Thank you.
Good Morning What is the mon of the tube You use is There a particular size thank You
Hi again Richard, just adjust the size of the opening by cutting off the end of the tube.
Love the extended body technique here.
Hi! I think that was shear perfection, if I ever tie one half as good I won't care if I never cast it!
Thanks Scotsman.
Having just tied the original Two-Feather Fly using the loop and pull method, this 'cheater' with the nozzle is absolute genius!
Thanks Rob, it does work well.
MAGNIFIQUE !
Vous pourrez commander le livre en français à cette adresses : www.editionsdugerfaut.com ou bien en librairie ou sur les sites amazon et fnac.
good job! 😎
Wow good jorb
Thanks
I'm going to try that. Amazing.
Thanks Chris.
Absolutely beautiful...
Wells tube of resin that you use does it have several sizes a particular brand Thanh you
Hi Richard, no I just cut the end off to make the hole larger.

how are you, the tool you use to pass the feathers? to form the wings? is it a specific tool for that or not. . thank you . . excellent pattern
Hi Federico, no special tool just the nozzle tip from a glue bottle.
Браво!!!Великолепно!!!Спасибо!
Thank you.
The Wally Wings are beautiful, how durable are they?
Thanks Phil, they work, but are more durable than you would think...
Thank you so much! I think with your tuition even I can tie up smaller flies with my sausage fingers lol
My pleasure, and I do hope that you can...
hello, how can you order and how much are fishing tackle (dry flies) ????
Hi, sorry but I don't really sell flies.
@@Thefeatherbender
Ok, спасибо.👍
Could you tell us something about the floatability? I've tied a few and I am a bit worried :D
No need to worry, just dress the fly with a little floatant and it will float all day long!
Amazingly tied. Beautiful fly. Smart tool the little red cone. Are they available to buy anywhere or is it your own solution?
Hi Jan, thanks. It's just a nozzle from a UV resin bottle, thats all.
@@Thefeatherbender It's about being smart. Recycling
Are you a using the dynema (spelling) thread?? Great job! Looks so delicate, wondering how well it holds up to fish?
Hi Carl, no not Dyneema here, Sheer 14/0 thread. It holds up pretty well actually, I always say its better getting one fish on a fly farther than none, and its very quick and inexpensive to tie.
@@Thefeatherbender I'd love to get the one on any fly but I'm recovering from back surgery now. Maybe soon!

It's just practice J.
Way to many steps were off camera.
