Still remember them playing after Cog at Melbourne BDO, maybe 2007. Cog were and are still about the most magical live band you could ever see and were absolutely awesome. I stuck around to see Shihad afterwards being a casual fan and never seeing them before, and somehow they topped Cog with the energy. Blew everyone away, I was surprised how amazing they were.
Please keep going with the ideas that will help people, music is better when it means something about freedom, I will never stop hearing the messages on this album, welcome and thank you. So much, so much.

that chorus is slammin! love it!! that part with the tree and the dude with the axe right at the end was a pretty powerful message imo.. to me, the song is about the world being raped of resources, corporate greed, privacy (or lack of it) and every joe-average wage slave (sleepwalkers. or meat for the grinder as i like to call em. i know i'm one..).
Shihad started out as a thrash metal band, they've got roots in industrial rock/industrial metal, especially with their huge Killing Joke influences, and Jaz Coleman helping produce the album. Go listen to a recent Killing Joke album like Absolute Dissent and you'll hear it.
