- It's been a long time coming, but here it is! Our new 20ft x 50ft rectangular gunite custom built swimming pool with spill over, Spa and automatic custom cover. There is also a 10 foot Baja and tanning ledge at the front of the pool. Come check it out! Love your design choices, we are hoping to start a pool, question for you, how deep did you go? I am leaning towards 5 feet vs any deep end. what were your thoughts?
Hi, we went to a deep end of 6.5 feet, which I felt was plenty for the size of our pool.
We are still in the planning stages...Your pool & pool house are lovely! How deep is your pool? I like the look of the continuous steps off the ledge very much but is it awkward to stop at the steps when swimming laps?
Hi Judy, no it's not awkward but that is one of the reasons we pool is so long at 50 feet.

Hi Renee, we ended up choosing River Rok for our finish with a dark blue plaster.

Hello what s beautiful home and pool I’m actually remodeling my pool soon and has travertine in mind is that Fresca travertine ? Also i have a very similar pool 18x40 abs we are adding a tanning or Baja ledge and that is exactly How i would like my pool and patio to come out it amazing

So glad you found it helpful. The plaster is RiverRok in a medium blue shade, but no it is not Tropics Blue
May I ask what your heating costs run and also what company you used? I am also in the northern VA/DC area and we want a similar length pool to yours.
We use propane to heat the spa and pool. Not sure about how much we use to be honest. We heat the spa more than the pool, the sun does a good job heating the pool in the summer.

Is it a salt water or chlorinated fresh water pool?
