Ali Velshi knows who to invite. Experience is a word that I hope holds more water when it comes to Maria Ressa's exposure to the free press getting strangled and put in situations you would think would make anyone give up. Bravo, MSNBC for continuing to give Ali, Rachel, Joy, and Lawrence airtime. We, the people, need to hear them.
@@Mathew-8896 By definition, a republic is a representative form of government that is ruled according to a charter, or constitution, and a democracy is a government that is ruled according to the will of the majority. Although these forms of government are often confused, they are quite different. The constitution is a declaration of basically unarguable truths for what is considered the best expression for a form of government. A majority-rules form of government is whimsical to the people of any given time. It’s dangerous and potentially destructive to the people. Especially in today’s world when progressives are nothing less than Neo Marxists and desire to rule the people accordingly. It’s to be vehemently rejected.
@@elbmp5151 A republic is a representative democracy. A republic is not a direct democracy. Democracy literally means power resides with the people. Who holds the power in our nation, the people or the constitution?
People have no idea what journalism is anymore. It is supposed to be who, what, where, when and why. Without any opinion or editorial. That is all these cable channels are is the op-ed section. What is sad is because they are all opinion now most people think all news is opinion.
Having a guest on MSNBC that is going to lecture all of us about journalism and freedom of press...
It doesn't get any more Priceless than that. WOW!

California's fire is now identifies as water.
Saying this network practices journalism is like saying California has water in its fire hydrants.
And they label criticism as ''misinformation''
Just another sad little trumpie troll with no life to speak of. Pathetic.
No mention of the word democracy in the constitution or the Bill of Rights.
Even the pledge of allegiance “ and to the republic “
Define republic.

By journalism, she means "propaganda" and by democracy, she means "Democrat's power".
Bingo

Nothing MSNBC does could be considered "journalism"
They say journalism and democracy exist ONLY when it suits left liners
Journalism is not left delusion

I also do not understand why America is allowing UK's toxic journalism move to the US. There are too many "UK journalists" in the US now.
That is exactly correct. And has been demonstrated when a free press ignored sloppy joe and all his fumbles
Alex Jones -> 1B$

While quitting seems to be the easy way out, being in a sleeper cell as journalist and hit when it counts the most for Democracy…
