I agree with you 💯 something fresh and enlightening on our screens for a change. Especially the young boy and girl, not letting their mistake define them but learning from it. Kudos to all the actors, writer and producer 🙏🏾 And may God help not to fall into temptation and bless us with good people that’ll guide us. Amen If I keep commenting, I’ll spoil this movie 😂 Just know that some scenes had me teary 😭🚶🏾♀️🚶🏾♀️
This movie resonates with me so much. I remember when my mum died in 2005 and my aunt I lived with then was always switching off the lantern when I was reading. Today I am rounding up my PhD programme and a University Teacher now. I am happy to be a teacher like Teacher Dorcas who believes so much in her students ❤
I'm Dorcas and also a teacher. I've handled a case like this and my student completed school, had her baby and still continued her education. I see myself in this movie and with my name just gives me goosebumps. Nice movie Bimbo
Honestly!!!!!! That's one of the many reasons I watch her movies, because I will always learn something from her. I legit just learnt how to pronounce "Nobel" . I have been following Agwu's footsteps of incorrect pronunciation 😂😂😂😂😂 (Let my dad no see this comment sha😂😂😂) If I was to consider acting as a career she will definitely be a role model, because she's too good.
How the pregnancy issue was handled is something worth mentioning. Very untypical of an African setting. Taking responsibility for your actions whether good or bad is key and moving on from mistakes is important to one's success in life. As a teacher, I rate teacher Dorcas highly. Impact!
I’ve really missed the portraying of the regular Nigerian person. This was so good, the environment, houses, school, uniforms, etc was just so relatable and nostalgic. Loved this movie biko❤
This movie left me feeling enlightened and emotional - it actually made me cry. It highlighted the importance of education and the significance of the parent-child relationship, particularly the father's role. I believe that Dorcas, wouldn't have navigated her challenges with her students without her father's guidance. Their relationship was built on trust, allowing her to have open conversations and receive valuable advice. The movie also teaches us to give love a chance, as people can show different sides of themselves depending on who they're interacting with. It emphasizes the importance of consistency, determination, and hard work in achieving our goals. Additionally, it shows that anyone can improve academically and personally, regardless of their perceived abilities. The film also tackles the issue of teenage pregnancy in a unique light. It demonstrates how parents can positively impact their children's lives by accepting and supporting them, rather than abandoning them. Overall, the movie was a powerful reminder of the importance of education, family, and perseverance.
One thing I really appreciate about this movie is how they used REAL young people to play the students. Victory and Ifiok looked like teenagers and some of the students as well. I feel this representation is important in the movie industry and I loved that✨
Dear Ms. Uduak, I waited till the end to see who wrote this, and I was pleasantly surprised to see it was you. Just WOW! Please! Please! Please write, and direct more often. This is an outstanding story, with equally outstanding acting and directing. When Abims and her mummy work on a project together, it leads to exceptional results. Well done, everyone ❤
Not me crying when kaima mum got her a lamp.. Most times not that parent don't Want the best for their kids but responsibilities can be so frustrating sometimes and either need to understand with our parents or assist them to ease both sides..
This movie was a nice watch, the fact that I didn’t have to fast forward shows is a 10/10 movie, no unnecessary drama straight to the point, realistic houses, restaurant and cloths. Even the car was realistic. Movie made a lot of sense . I really applaud their attention to details
That's what I love about her movies she pays attention to every little detail...every setting is exactly what it needs to be no additions or subtractions
This is the movie. Got me reminiscing my secondary school days - positively, though. use of candles and lanterns. Impact of good teachers . I had an English teacher (one of the best) who would end the class on a Friday with stories and danced out of class it was fun. I am also happy with the comments here. We don't have the "I am here for, who else is here for"

People say oh I love this movie w/o reservation giving no context as to why so the reason I love "TD" so much is simply bc all the characters are beyond robust and relatable. “Teacher Dorcas” is like the modern female version of the classic film “To Sir with Love” played by the late Academy award winner Mr. Sidney Poitier. Ejiro's character was so funny, feisty and lovable, Agwu was a likable ring leader, Victory was the beautiful young lady that all parents pray their daughters won't end up in the same predicament she was and Kaima was so brilliant with a world of potential that needed support in order to live up to her fullest potential. I like how TD depended on Efiok. I was the Efiok of my class😊They all resonated bc in reality we all know any one of these characters. Teacher Dorcas was serious, stern, and built a solid, deep, relationship with her students from the beginning being sober, unyielding yet: kind, caring, genuinely interested, and tapped into the particulars about their lives and who they were as individuals. Dorcas wanted to be different than the others and to make a difference by having an impact on their lives by teaching the whole person. She won their hearts and they wanted to impress and not disappoint her. They all gained a desire to be better versions of themselves. Good teachers can make such a difference. I appreciate how Bimbo brought such light, dignity, reverence and esteem to the role of Teacher Dorcas being an example for children who might otherwise have been written off and discarded. Daddy was a delight, loved their relationship. Sir Chris was amazing as principal. To teach is to learn twice. What the teacher is ; is as important as what they teach. A teacher affects eternity; he or she can never tell where his influence stops. Thank u for this story A+ 🍎

Just wow. Dorcus's dad was so cool 😂😂😂, Amina tried to separate Dorcus and Tayo and failed 😂😂😂😂. Love how Docus stood up for Victory and her boyfriend also was involved enough to help and encourage all her students. We need more teachers like her in our society
Please let us all give Teacher Dorcas "the teacher of the year"🤭🤭🤭 Well Ms Dorcas(Bimbo Ademoye) and Uduak isong Tv thank you for putting this out... it's really intriguing and educative ❤
this was a beautiful watch. i loved that the costume from the clothings, shoes, car and home interior was very consistent to a teacher even at the end she had just a simple wedding band and not a rock. made it very very realistic.
Omg!!! Everyone in this movie delivered and understood the assignment ❤ From the students, to the parents, teachers👌🏿. But seriously, Aunty Uduak + Bimbo Ademoye = Magic! I don't play when it comes to your movies🙌🏿. Thank you for this beautiful 🎬! Truly enjoyed it❤❤ p:s - Lateef Adedimeji is fantastic!! He always delivers! Had me cracking up the whole time, loved his role!
I so much love Dorcas relationship with her dad, I wish I had that kind of relationship with my father before he passed away. He went to heaven on 25th September, 2024. Almost a month and few weeks ago I miss him every day cuz I had some memories I shared with him 😞 Watching this movie brought so much memories!
I legit cried when Rema's Mom gave her a rechargeable lamp. Love the story line and the cast did a great job My girl Bimbo can never disappoint my sister Udy, this piece is amazing

The part kaima's mum on candle for her and also the part she replaced the candle with a torch light got me teary 😢 It's so good so see mama uduak acts ❤️
Oh my I really enjoyed watching this movie and the transformation of the student. Being a teacher isn't easy and I appreciate our teachers all over the world. Our mothers, fathers and guardians. ❤❤❤❤
This was a very relatable movie that speaks on profound societal issues like teenage pregnancy, sexism and lackadaisical attitude towards school work. I particularly liked the actor that portrayed Victory because she was so young yet carrying a heavy burden. Thanks for bringing this movie to our screens🙏🏿
I hope teachers will learn a lot from this movie, especially those that are quick to give up on their students. You are the only ones that can preach hope to them, their parents can only do but little. They trust you above their parents. Please, let's do better as teachers, either in school or at home. This masterpiece was worth my time tonight. Well done to the team! I love to see my Yoruba 'compatriots' taking the centre stage in this movie. Lasisi Elenu, I think you need to teach me some complex grammars. Bimbo Ademoye, your use of English is top notch as always. Perhaps, someday, our paths will cross. You are doing well! Lateef Adedimeji! Bro of life, I like how you code switched and code mixed...you also spiced that up with your not-too-serious character. You delivered so well as always too. I love this movie, no doubt!
I enjoyed watching this movie, I can absolutely relate. Probably because I teach. I am very passionate about education. A lot of youth just need someone to believe in them and encourage them. They will work hard not just for themselves but also not to disappoint you.
This movie resonates with me. I was a teacher after my secondary school days in a family friends private school because there was a teacher in my school then that made me love teaching, she was so involved in our lives and it helped a lot of us. After my university days I was posted to a school for my Nysc and it was amazing. I loved how the kids were able to relate to me and with me. Bimbo is just an exceptional actress. As teachers we play a major role in the lives of our students.
Believe me sitting alone in front of my laptop I got up to applaud at the end of the movie as if I was at cinema. This is wow just wow 🤩. I feel like no description is enough to say how beautiful this film is. Kaima’s speech about women being best leaders than men ?? Pleaseeee 😍😍😍 Wow Only good content on this channel. Stories always well crafted 🙌. Congratulations aunty uduak and all the cast members. This movie will get the views it deserves 👌
Okay this movie was just too good! Morals on point, lessons on point and a blend of everything, clean romance and a most powerful message! Highly recommended 🎉
Some people will still come on social media and rant that old movies are the best. The new actors are also doing well let’s appreciate them🎉Kudos to the producers and the cast❤
I'm just 3 mins in, and I just want to say thank you for the subtitles, I'm so glad Nollywood TH-cam movies are starting to adopt the use of subtitles, thank you once again.
This is actually very very motivational. I felt every emotion in every scene The producer and the director did a wonderful job. Same goes to the cast and crew. It’s definitely a must watch🗣️♾️
Bimbo's Igbo speaking is just sweet, for a sec I had to go back and check her name properly 😂....so adorable 🥰 Mostly important, moral lesson; Destiny fulfillment lies beyond your fears....most times the fulfillment come for that place you reject to go..
These are the type of movies we should be seeing on TH-cam, very educative.. I just dint like the part where she announced the girls pregnancy to the whole class.
Though embracing but it helps a girl to be free rather than keep things to yourself and hearing gossips it hurts most everyone must know and help to be strong my suggestion though
To me , i prefer this educative movies of Aunty Bimbo than love/Romance movies, what is this this, if not a good and perfect job!!! This is typical Nigeria movie that shows/portray who we are as a Nigerians and how we struggle to become better. To me this 100/100 it suite my belly. KUDOS!!! This is a job well done 🥰
There is nothing I enjoyed in this movie more than the relationship Dorcas had with her dad. Bims, you’re an amazing actress to be honest, it so difficult to tell the story was acted. Every actor in this movie embodied their role. Amazing story too, so relatable. Aunty Uduak, you never disappoint.
Students all over Africa, if not the world at large, should be encouraged to see this movie. Parents and guardians too have a lot to learn here. Great work Madam Uduak! The cast are phenomenal.
I love all characters in this movie 🎥 who else remember secondary school days especially sss 3 with their bad attitude i miss my secondary school days Well done 👍 for this masterpiece 😍🙌
I had to put up energy to watch this, due to my health state. But i couldn't take my eyes off it the moment I saw my fan Bimbo as the teacher Dorcas. I received strength, And am happy it was worth it. This movie is a hit.❤❤❤❤
NYSC members posted in public schools where they might likely find such stubborn students should absolutely adopt Miss Dorcas style and strategy. I legit saw my mom in her, my mom was that teacher that was so keen about bringing out the best in her students, she looked beyond their stubbornness and identified their potentials, she never gave up on them. That's why i don't envy her whenever they appreciate her, because she paid her dues in full. Sending lots of hugs, prayers and love to every Miss Dorcas out there helping their students harness and maximize their potential in full. We see you and we celebrate you.
What a great, amazing and educative movie this is! Especially the storyline from how one person can change entire community by not giving up, to a teacher standing up for her students and how teachers could be safe place for students plus how parents understand and support their children.❤
UDUAK ISONG👏👍👊🤗💕. The way you seamlessly balance CREATIVITY, INNOVATION and details of production is truly inspiring. Your ability to assemble and guide a team toward achieving artistic goal is a testament of your EXTRAORDINARY SKILL and dedication😘. The industry is fortunate to have someone of your caliber shaping its future . God bless You
This movie is relatable. Working in highschool is another cup of tea. They are emotionally unstable, facing all kinds of isues at home while figuring out what the world has to offer. You are in the middle of it trying to bring senses into them...
This is beautiful🥹❤️
I’m literally teary watching this, so educative.
This has to be a must watch for all!!!!!
I tell you
This is a good educational material for our secondary school students

The part kaima's mum on candle for her and also the part she replaced the candle with a torch light got me teary 😢
It's so good so see mama uduak acts ❤️
This Cinema worthy, Netflix or Prime video worthy movie, Thank you Mama Uduak, well done to the cast and crew
I am a teacher and trust me, I have learnt so much from this movie.
Weldon ma.
Same here
That’s really good please help the kids be great children ❤
This was such an amazing movie kuddus to all the actors❤
This is the best movie I've seen this year and that's because I am a teacher and I have the qualities of teacher Dorcas. Such an educative movie.
you see as them no ki.ss? very demure, very respecful, very mindful 🤣🤣🤣love it 100%
@@AdedayoJimoh-h5h don’t do that,we are teachers for the film inside, sex education and no sex tactics 😁😁😁😜
I found this very entertaining, still can’t believe I’m watching this for free, this stuff should be on Netflix. Great acting Kelechi
As a Teacher I love this so much, reminded me of my first day as an international teacher, it was dramatic 😂
😂😂😂😂😂I can imagine 😊
😂😂😂😂
As usual!
International teachers do suffer a lot in foreign countries...
😇😇😇
Oh my I really enjoyed watching this movie and the transformation of the student. Being a teacher isn't easy and I appreciate our teachers all over the world. Our mothers, fathers and guardians. ❤❤❤❤
This was a very relatable movie that speaks on profound societal issues like teenage pregnancy, sexism and lackadaisical attitude towards school work. I particularly liked the actor that portrayed Victory because she was so young yet carrying a heavy burden. Thanks for bringing this movie to our screens🙏🏿
😂the tittle of this movie got me, my name is Dorcas and I am a teacher😂.
You guys have to pay me😂
😁
😂😂😂😂
My uncle wife’s name too is also Dorcas and she’s also a teacher
😂😂😂
😂
I'm crying really hard and it's midnight o
Please why isn't it a Netflix movie?
This is so interesting and morals filled...
From the debate competition to the part where Kaima's mum blow out the candle and gave her the torchlight got me so teary🥺❤️
Thank you very much.
There is a black American movie like this one
Bimbo is the teacher our children need. Excellent job❤
This is so beautiful
I was so emotional with Kaima's debate
I'm so happy seeing bimbo's acting❤
Okay this movie was just too good! Morals on point, lessons on point and a blend of everything, clean romance and a most powerful message! Highly recommended 🎉
Rushed down here from IG, I almost break leg😂😂😂, team bimbo everytime
No break leg oo 😂😂😂
I love how she takes up different characters
This is fresh
Love the conversations between her and her dad
Break that leg oooo😅😅😅😂
After watching Teacher Dorcas and Miss PJ am sure if Bimbo was not an actress she would have made a brilliant teacher
Where can I watch miss pj
I totally agree ❤

Bimbo's dad is the real vibe in this movie 😂😂 love the relationship with his daughter ❤❤
I felt every emotion in every scene
The producer and the director did a wonderful job. Same goes to the cast and crew. It’s definitely a must watch🗣️♾️
How Bimbo take jump that fence 🤣🤣
Beautiful movie
😂😂😂😂 that babe na gangster
Jump fire ,who dash her strength, person wey nor fit dance for instagram 😂😂
Yay I really enjoyed every scene, but seriously how can the students be serious when lateef(tayo) is in that school as a teacher 😂😂😂

Lol
😂😂😂
Bimbo's Igbo speaking is just sweet, for a sec I had to go back and check her name properly 😂....so adorable 🥰
Mostly important, moral lesson; Destiny fulfillment lies beyond your fears....most times the fulfillment come for that place you reject to go..
I laughed, smiled and cried 🤭😌 this movie is worth my time 🥰
From kaima's debate
As a watcher i was convinced, na the judge come know
Thank you Uduak for this beautiful movie
Students all over Africa, if not the world at large, should be encouraged to see this movie. Parents and guardians too have a lot to learn here. Great work Madam Uduak! The cast are phenomenal.
Whenever u see Bimbo and Ehis is an automatic click. Who else agrees thumbs up for Bimbs and Ehis 👍❤❤🎉🎉
What an intelligent piece. I'm overwhelmed. Well done writer, casts and crew
Future millionaire please as we watch this movie, let’s share it so others are also blessed 👍May we succeed in life biko🤩
Teachers played significant roles in our lives . God bless them
The point where kaima’s mum brought rechargeable lantern for her got me emotional 😭 ❤❤❤
I love all characters in this movie 🎥 who else remember secondary school days especially sss 3 with their bad attitude i miss my secondary school days Well done 👍 for this masterpiece 😍🙌
What a wholesome movie with life lessons for youth and adults. Great actors, great faith and future reflections.
I had to put up energy to watch this, due to my health state. But i couldn't take my eyes off it the moment I saw my fan Bimbo as the teacher Dorcas. I received strength, And am happy it was worth it. This movie is a hit.❤❤❤❤
God knows I have patiently waited for this movie to drop today. Let's watch grab your 🍿❤
I really love this movie.☺️
There was a lot of things to learn from Ifiok and Victory and Teacher Dorcas.
It's nice knowing Victory and seeing her in the drama, beautiful as always ❤❤
Saw Korede Lawal and I didn’t have to think twice before watching! That guy is good 🙌🏽🙌🏽
This is a wonderful movie showing how students can respond when someone takes the time to invest in them and show care and concern.
Infact I'm here for not only Bimbo darling but for my brother lateef. Thanks mama uduak for bringing him. ❤
Thanks for watching
This movie is very nice. May we never disappoint our mothers like Victory did o🙏🏿😂
Beautiful movie have me in tears ❤Bimbo one of my favorite actress
