Felix is my ult bias, not only in SKZ, and this song illustrates perfectly why. (Vocally at least.) I got so excited to see he had a solo on SKZ Replay, and I was hoping it would display his insane range. I am not disappointed!! More of this please, Felix!
I do love the slow progression of skz sprinkling bits of Felix singing in his higher range, including falsetto, throughout their songs in the last few albums. Especially because it lead up to this!

fun fact this isn't the first time felix used vocals many baby stays don't know because they haven't heard a lot of the older tracks but Felix's vocals were first heard on a b-side in a song called hero soup
he wasn't very confident in his higher vocals yet so he's been practicing a lot for me as a stay who's been here since the beginning I'm so incredibly proud of him
I personally love this song because it can be interpreted in many ways, I can see it as the neglect of a parent as the child grew up. But it can also be read as friends falling out, or even romantic partners breaking up.

Stray Kids are known for not making songs with genre limitations and explicit descriptions of feelings, so that everyone can identify with it, they themselves have mentioned it, as MAXIDENT being their only era that is focused on romantic, couple love. So, Musa saying that, in a clear romantic interpretation, made me reflect, because whenever I listen to Deep End, I remember the friendships I lost when I moved to another city, the different times, the distance and life have changed us and our bond has weakened i still love them and i wonder if maybe if i had stayed we would still be together, it makes me sad and comforts me at the same time, and that's what I love about Stray Kids, anyone can hear and relate to the lyrics, no matter how different their life experiences are.

I absolutely love this song and the emotions but it is a mood song to get you in your feels or to bring forward past memories of lost love. But damn I think it shocked everyone for him to sing this type of song because he usually is a ray of sunshine. Yeah this definitely is not the type of song one would have on repeat lol it is a more intense and slow song. It is about heartbreak which is never a light or easy subject. I'm glad he did this though because some people say nonsense like he is only in the group for his deep voice and "shock value" and that is absurd and untrue. His range was really nice to see and hopefuly he'll not only expand and deepen it but also showcase it in more upbeat songs. He has many colors. :)

When I heard this song it immediately thought had me think of the song ‘ I get overwhelmed’ by Dark Rooms. It’s from the movie a ghost story. When I saw the video for deep end, there seems to be a nod to that movie. Watch both videos or even look up the movie a ghost story then watch the deep end video and you will see what I mean.
