Would love to have even just 1 day of dave's coatching he would probably go mental about alot of things but would be great to get his input, everyone i talk to about training i turn them towards elitefts and dave
The amount of knowledge this old meathead has is astonishing! These videos are going to be around for a long ass time training a lot of strong ass people
Just wondering but it seems like the grip width is much farther apart and the elbows drop more in this demonstration compared to JM's demonstration you guys put out is there any particular reason or is it more of a "do whats comfortable" thing??
Anecdote: i fucked both shoulders and could only do flies and JM press for 6 months. When my shoulders recovered I had lost no strength on my bench press at all. Different accessories work for different people, when you find yours, stick with them
Yes. You can use several different bars and set ups for a jm even a smith machine is a good variation. My favorite is my American camber bar from elitefts
I wonder if you could load the dumbbell JM presses more than 45 lbs if you used the half dumbbell handle thing you guys showed in a short a few months ago
Yes you can. Great idea, I’ve actually done exactly this. You don’t quite get the same effect because you can’t press the dumbbells together but still very good for a tri extension movement

honestly the most informative strength and performance channel on the planet. thank you guys
They were a great bunch on this series
Guess we're all doing jm Presses today then 💪
always appreciate the knowledge you continue to share Dave and all at elite fts 💪😎♥️
Nope. You guessed wrong.
That JM Press is way different from how JM taught it himself on this channel.
Yea I thought the same thing. Completely different movement biomechanically.
Needed the imagery of a line coming off the chest and the bar sliding straight up and down, feels so much better now

Well said!
That little history lesson on the hexbell was really interesting. Damn Dave you got a lot of good shit in that bigass head of yours.
This air smells so good
This is great, I have been trying to crack the nut on the JM press for a while now

Could you use a Swiss bar to do the hex bell style JM press?
Yes. You can use several different bars and set ups for a jm even a smith machine is a good variation. My favorite is my American camber bar from elitefts

@@tommyjohn312 oh shit thats sick
Just use a smith machine. However, this press doesn't do anything a triceps push down wouldn't.
I think Dave should demonstrate 1st...Showing how to do it is always better than just telling someone how to do it.
