I honestly do hope that the sequel focuses more on story this time. I was fine with how the first film handled its story and I still really like that movie, but I only let it slide because it was a first movie that was just trying to have a simple start establishing the world and characters. A sequel is the perfect opportunity to take full advantage of fleshing out the characters more and giving us a more deep story.
I like this script because I always thought it’d be hard to make Wario and Waluigi the main villains of a sequel since they didn’t really have an army like Bowser does, but giving them Yoshis as an army is brilliant honestly, I am curious how Daisy will play into the next one because Peach implied she was really the only human she knew, I’m also curious about what roles you’ll have Bowser and DK play, also I’m half convinced that Wario and Waluigi’s real names are a reference to Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul
We need at least one Penguin Suit Wario scene as a semi-obligatory _Batman Returns_ reference. Also at least one reference to Mona’s huge crush on Wario.
I had ALMOST the same idea, but instead of Wario and Waluigi being just jealous of Mario and Luigi, I would think of them more as Knock-offs trying to bank on Mario and Luigi’s popularity. I mean the full stuff, they buy a 2nd hand camera to make an even lower quality and budget ad for their business, they make knock-off Mario and Luigi suits (which are lazily slapped together Wario and Waluigi costumes in the beginning of the film that later become higher quality versions) and Wario even saves up to buy a purple van that has a glued-on, cardboard sign saying “Wario Bros Plumbing” with simply drawn illustrations of Wario and Waluigi. They get a call for a job, but forget their toolbox. So, Wario rushes through a construction site in the shape of the first level of Wario Land 4 (bc 4 is probably the best) and when he DOES get the tool kit, he gets called by Waluigi who screams “HURRY UP!” as a remix of the hurry up music from Wario Land 4 starts playing while Wario makes it back to the place they are supposed to be. This is only the opening I have thought of. The rest is something you can use your imagination for.
I still like the idea of Bowser Jr. coming through the pipe like Peach did in her origin story, complete with clown car, and uses gadgets to save "Papa" from his prison, confuses Peach by calling her "Mama," and Bowser grabs Jr. and yeets themselves out the window. Then the whole movie is Bowser bonding with his AU son, followed by Luigi taking a bigger spotlight than the first game and more jumping, karting, and referencing to fill the rest of it!
I absolutely love this pitch idea and completely agree, even though I would also like to see Wario and Waluigi as well, but I do think introducing Bowser Jr and the plotline surrounding his belief that Peach is his mother would really be fascinating to see and introduce a side of Bowser we dont see, undying love for his kids and for Jr. It would also give Peach a new perspective of Bowser and his family, who knows maybe he wanted to marry Peach because wanted to give his son a mother figure? I also really love that you want to focus more on Luigi for the sequel because I did feel like we didn't get enough of Luigi, despite how excellent Charlie Day was in the role. Since well see Yoshi we could centre the film around Luigi and Yoshi's relationship. I already know who I would cast as Bowser Jr *Nancy Cartwright as Bowser Jr* is perfect in my opinion, especially with her time and experience voicing another mischievous child, Bart Simpson.

I could see Micheal Pena giving a more energetic performance as Bowser Jr. But since Jr is a child, they would probably go with a child voice actor or an adult voice actor who's had experience voicing kids like Nancy Cartwright or Terra Strong?

Here's one idea I had for a bit of world building. One that could fit in nicely with the ideas discussed here: Ever since the Mario Bros saved the day in the first film, their popularity has skyrocketed to new heights. And in a very on-the-nose reference to Mario's popularity in real life, there would be all kinds of Mario Bros-themed merchandise all over Brooklyn and the Mushroom Kingdom. Shirts, books, games, food tie-ins, the works. Including that Warp Pipe from the sewers being a tourist attraction (as mentioned in the video). But perhaps one of the biggest contributions to the their popularity would be a half hour TV show based on the SMB Plumbing commercial. One that serves as both a callback and expansion to Charles Martinet's cameo where he played an off-brand Mario. Only this time, the joke would be pushed even further with Giuseppe and a green-equivalent to him playing Mario and Luigi respectively. Not only that, but the show itself would be a double reference to the Super Show's live action segments and Martinet's Instagram videos (the ones where he recorded himself doing silly things with his Mario and Luigi toys). There would even have a scene in the film where the actual Mario and Luigi are seen watching it at Punch-Out Pizzeria, both showing a different reaction towards it. Luigi loves it as any joke they tell makes him laugh uncontrollably. Mario meanwhile is shown to be not as impressed by it. Embarrassed even. Luigi: *laughs* Ah man.. these guys are legends! Mario (annoyed): HEY I DON'T SOUND LIKE THAT!!! This would play a pretty major part in the story where Mario starts to become not as satisfied with the Bros' new found popularity. Always being asked for autographs, seeing his face plastered onto things everywhere, and having to impress the kids and their parents whenever they see him (which at this point in the movie he isn't very good yet. Kinda like Marlin in Finding Nemo where he tries to tell a joke but fails). Mario's overall more serious and focused on his plumbing career and what potential danger could be next for the bros and everyone in the Mushroom Kingdom. Though later on as the film progresses, he slowly starts to learn that he doesn't have to be just the guy who saves everyone from danger. He can also be someone that's there for everyone too (friends, family, and the fans). Plus at the end of movie, Mario would even grow to appreciate Giuseppe's take on Mario after a 2nd watch of the TV show.
I'm glad the Mario movie turned out as well as it did, and if we do get a sequel then I hope they take their time with it. No rushing because of the first movie's success, because that's always a recipe for disaster 🤔
If I were to write a sequel script, it would have Kamek finding Wario in Diamond City because we don’t actually know if he went back to the Mushroom Kingdom. He would ask Wario to help him save Bowser. Wario would deny the offer at first until Kamek mentions Mario, and then Wario gets furious. He would start yelling about how Mario is the bane of his existence. In this script, Wario’s family and Mario’s family used to be neighbors in Brooklyn, and Wario’s parents were so jealous that the neighbor’s kid was so perfect, that they ended changing their kids name to Wario with the excuse that “The W stands for winner!” From that point on all his parents cared about was proving that Wario was better than Mario. They even put him in the same college as Mario, one where Wario didn’t want to go. Wario accepts Kamek’s offer as they go to Brooklyn and enter the sewers. That’s how I would introduce Wario, I wouldn’t use Waluigi, I think it would be better for Wario to be on his own for this movie. I would also introduce Bowser Jr into this movie, I don’t know how, but I would. Once Bowser escapes, he would make his goal to get the Shine sprite from Super Mario Sunshine. His big plan will be to get the Shine to power a weapon he made blue prints for, the giant mechanical Bowser statue from every Console Mario Kart game after Double Dash. But where is the Shine? At Isle Delfino, inside Corona Mountain, which would definitely have it’s name changed to something like “The Delcano” (get it? a mix between Delfino and Volcano) the movie would have Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, and Yoshi race against Bowser, Bowser Jr, Kamek, and Wario to get to the Shine first. One more thing, when everyone ends up at The Delcano, the only way to get to the Shine is to play a game of Mario Party.
Awesome! My main thing is just that since Peach talks about how she's never seen another human in the first movie, I doubt that Daisy would have her own kingdom. I personally think that Daisy lived in the human world, and the whole event when the world's merged created a "holy crap! Is that my sister who mysteriously disappeared when we were babies/toddlers?!" So she also goes to the Mushroom Kingdom to check this out and reunite with Peach. The brothers know Daisy; they aren't close or anything, but they're friendly towards each other (and because I'm a sucker for romance Luigi harbors a MAJOR crush on her, though the plot wouldn't be too focused on that; maybe Luigi just trying to act cool and failing miserably)
I have been coming up with my own ideas for a sequel as well, namely Wario and Waluigi (originally known as Warren and Wally) are Mario and Luigi's estranged cousins who are jealous of their fame, leading to the pair sneaking into the Mushroom Kingdom to go on an intergalactic treasure hunt for power stars.
I think kamek Recruiting Wario and Waluigi would make a lot more since. Maybe because after seeing what Mario, Luigi and even peach can do he sees the power humans have.

I love using Warioware to establish Warios character because it’s now my new favorite Nintendo franchise Also in the Mario comics the movie is heavily based on, Wario and Mario were childhood friends but drifted apart since Mario got more attention than he did. Finn, please! My knees can only go so low kneeling with you loving WarioWare this much! As for possible ideas to add, maybe the inciting incident that got Wario aware of Mario was him and Luigi actually visiting Diamond City to help with some sort of plumbing problems the city's sewer system is facing, with Mayor Pauline even going on the news to express her faith in the Mario Bros and their plumbing skills, saying how they were more than capable of doing the job. Maybe it can be a sequence mirroring their original job in the first movie, where Mario and Luigi are able to deal with all the rapidly changing problems in comparison to the first movie where they are stretched too thin thanks to Francis. A little while later after the news reported on Mario and Luigi effortlessly fixing the problem in Diamond City and getting cleaned up, we can have Mario and Luigi performing that Paper Mario puppet show in Diamond City for a group of kids, being broadcasted to the rest of the world, with two very noticeable humans being a small kid in red with a yellow helmet, and a bigger kid dressed in green with a disk on his head. That's right if you're adding WarioWare references to this pile, then I'm adding in 9-Volt and 18-Volt. Maybe they do a questionnaire with the kids with them asking about their story and how they got as far as they did, with Mario and Luigi remaining humble by saying how they're just regular humans at the end of the day, lucky to be given the chance to prove themselves, and while the road they got there was tough, they're more than happy to prove themselves at the end of the day. They don't even acknowledge all the cameras on them until they use them to greet their family and former boss. This can be used to show the two different personalities between Mario and Wario, with Mario remaining the kind-hearted man and icon of inspiration, while Wario is just incredibly jealous and angry at how this regular joe schmoe is able to be this famous while he, someone "much more promising", is stuck in a dead-end job. Maybe Wario could also see 9-Volt and 18-Volt being super fans of Mario and Luigi as insulting, as he isn't even safe in his own city with other fans swarming them, fans that should be playing HIS games. Of course, we can also put many other WarioWare characters in here, like maybe one of the locations in the real world is Club Sugar with Jimmy T and his family dancing on the stage, with that possibly being the same building Waluigi has his tennis fantasy at, or we could even have a return to the Dark Land with Wario trying to find more power-ups and find out that the new owner of that creepy castle the shy guys were is now Ashley. We know she is a witch and is definitely not as human as the regular humans in the world, so it could make sense that she is some traveling witch who found her way into the Mushroom Kingdom; not from Mario's real world, but from another of the far off universes Peach alluded to. One other idea I had was that when Peach asks Daisy about possibly helping out Mario and taking down Wario's army, Daisy just dismisses Mario and says "He's not important," not really believing that a mere human could take down Bowser. This can lead to Peach getting insulted by this and defending him, saying how despite everything he still keeps getting up and helping out those in need, being a contrast to when Peach said this in the original movie. Daisy could then shoot back, laughing while saying how she realizes why Peach needed the help so badly was to keep her "boyfriend" safe, quickly stumbling her as she gets flustered by the idea. Peach could recover by showing Daisy that Mario wasn't the only one who beat Bowser, saying how his brother helped, showing Daisy a picture of Luigi, and talking about how brave and selfless he also is, along with being single. Daisy gets red and accuses Peach of using dirty tactics to get her to help, but she does offer a challenge to Peach, declaring that if she could beat Daisy in a race to the finish on her own turf, she would help Peach and her army. She also takes that picture of Luigi, but only so Peach can't use it to try and tempt her with childish tricks, or so she says...
At the end peach just walks up to daisy Peach “So I guess since the worlds saved, you don’t need that picture anymore” *peach reaches for the picture before daisy slaps her hand away* Daisy: “Don’t you dare”
For the tracks that would eventually be replaced by the aforementioned pop songs in this sequel idea, for the first one, I could imagine a cheery version of Mario’s theme, and for the second one I could imagine a mix between the main theme of WarioWare & Wario’s own unique theme!
When I saw your Wario and Waluigi castings, I cheered so happily! I so desperately want Danny Devito and Willem Dafoe as Wario and Waluigi, they'd be so perfect! Heck, I even made a whole video of my fancasting! And your premise is fantastic! A very simple story for a Mario Movie, which is perfect! However, if I had to make some changes for it, i'd have the fart jokes less frequent and I'd give Luigi more screentime. Besides those two changes, it's pretty much perfect!
My idea for the sequel: 7 star children, it allows all previous characters and Wario to be in. I like to think the star lore also link to Rosalina in some way. This video could also work for my idea if somethings were change. But I love where the direction is going on your ideas.

The chances of Wario and specially Waluigi appearing in the second movie aren’t high if former Nintendo EAD members are involved. Have you ever noticed how side characters like them, Daisy and the RPG characters are missing in the core Mario games, the kind that EAD was in charge of until they got merged with another group? Can’t remember if it’s a rumor or not that EAD developers don’t like the Mario characters they didn’t create. Which makes the games and the movie suffer, Peach in the movie is too action girl and thus unfaithful to her game portrayal. They should’ve made Daisy the action girl, her tomboyish personality is always alluded to but virtually never shown.
First possible add ons for this part: Since this is a big day for Peach why not have Mario give her the gift of a Nintendo 3DS with Kid Icarus Uprising on it, show the Yoshis that Wario and Waluigi gather around the big fruit tree with the heart shaped fruit in the middle from the game Yoshi’s Story, and possibly show Wario using the metal cap during his rampage to not only show off the power up but to possibly reference Mario 64 DS as that was his Power Flower power up in that game. And as for possible part 2 stuff: When Mario and Luigi get to the wooded kingdom how Luigi say something like “Wow look at this green and hilly space, it’s beautiful.” and have Mario reply “Eh, green hills ain’t nothing to write home about.” as a reference and slight jab at Sonic and his first movie where the blue blur said he hated mushrooms, have Waluigi help both himself and the green Yoshi he and Wario entered the world with via the dinosaur eating nearby rocks and shooting them as eggs like he does in the Yoshi’s Island series only for Waluigi to use a tennis racket to bat them back and have Yoshi eat the eggs to repeat shooting possibly having Yoshi miss one and jet an egg to the face where Waluigi goes to make sure he isn’t majorly hurt before resuming their training together, and for Peach and Daisy have a part where the latter wants to get a few rounds in for some fun with Peach using the frog suit from Super Mario 2 which Peach wore in the Mario World tv show while Daisy uses the carrot power up from her debut game for a brawl of bouncing animals.
I hope that Ludwig and the koopalings come as we know at least Ludwig exists so I hope that he’s bowser’s 3rd or 2nd in command. So 👏 the story: Ludwig returns from a mission and looks around for bowser until he realises that bowser is captured. He takes over bowser’s kingdom and actually does a good job. He even makes the airships and even upgraded it to make it go to space. Meanwhile peach is siting on here thrown giving orders and donkey Kong even shows up to punch some rebel koopas.but then Mario as he is drinking some coffee sees a shadow over the castle. Then a bunch of koopas clime down from the anchors but there not the normal one’s. Morton charges into the castle and uses his hammer to knock some toads into walls. Lenny throws some bombs to break bowsers cage, hides it in a ball and grabs an anchor and dips. He gives bowsers cage to Ludwig, bowser says “hey! Right hand guy! Can you get me out of this?” Then Ludwig says “hmmmmm… no”. Bowser then gets dropped on Mario’s head. Mario says “you again…” bowser shouts “OK! YES I KNOW WE HATE EACH OTHER (breath in) sigh I need your help, that backstabbing koopa dropped me off a flying ship.” Mario says “sigh fine just on 1 condition, you must stay small.” Then they go to the dark lands where there is a reference to the OG Mario games as we see a koopa jumping over a little goomba, press a button and causes the goomba to fall into a red ball pit. Then they meet a wiggler who says “oh! King Koopa! I’m assuming you want the child?” Bowser says “yes but ignore the plumber.” Then the wiggler walks to a playroom where he says “Ok! All aboard the choo choo train!” “Daddy!” Then we meet bowser jr. “why are you so small? I’m bigger!” “Eh long story but we need you to come along.” Then Mario says hello and then they return to peach who asks “ok 2 questions, 1: why is bowser there and 2: how is the kid?” Bowser then explains everything. Meanwhile we cut to Ludwig who is chatting to lenny and asks about bowser as Ludwig if forgetting to pay them.
The overall structure I do like but there's some definite things I'd change 1. Way less fart jokes. We were so lucky to not get ANY in the Mario movie and I hope that trend continues because it isn't really a part of Mario's humor. Sure, Mario is for kids but it's not lowest denominator humor like toilet or fart jokes. 2. I'd actually swap out Daisy and put her alongside Wario and Waluigi in the friend group. It makes for a nice good group (Peach, Mario, Luigi, and Toad) and evil group (Dasiy, Wario, Waluigi, and Yoshi). It could even be a case of Daisy being the moral compass for Wario and Waluigi before one or the two convince her otherwise. Maybe Daisy could be inspired by Peach to eventually denounce her friendship with the two villains and join with Yoshi to thwart what they accidentally started.
Maybe the sequel can actually explore Bowser's relationship with his kids (Bowser Jr and the Koopalings). Maybe Wario kidnaps Bowser's kids to make sure Bowser doesn't try to stop him from his conquest and Bowser requests Luigi's help in saving his kids, giving the little brother a side plot and some time in the spotlight.
I want to see Mario and Wario fight epically in the style of Sonic and Knuckles fight from Sonic movie 2 and maybe they can even fight with power ups. Tanooki Mario vs Wario-Man
Waluigi should also develop abilities from power ups like jump really high, teleport and swim in the air like it's implied he can do and use bomb omb and piranha plants in the battles
Here's an idea: So at one point in the Movie, Wario enters the castle, and gets chased by a hoard of toads and then he smashes into a locked room that has a Mega Mushroom in it and Wario is dumbstruck. Since, it's the second most powerful power up in the Mushroom Kingdom, the most being the superstar. He's about to eat it but he gets dogpiled by the Toads, and drops the mushroom. It goes bouncing around and everyone goes chasing it and they all pass by Bowser's cage and Bowser sees the Mega Mushroom. To eat it and gain it's power, he breathes all the fire in his stomach to melt the wires in the cage. He hops out and since he's so small, nobody notices him bounce by in his shell Double Dash item style {Obligatory Mario Reference 12} and lunges into the mushroom. He turns HUGE like in NSMBW {Obligatory Mario Reference 13} and destroys Peach's castle. He walks up to the pipe and smashes it and it creates a vortex like in the original, sending everything into Brooklyn and when they exit the other pipe there's a huge explosion! It sends everything flying including Wario on top of a huge building. It gives him a great view of all the destruction Bowser's causing, and he just says, "Hey scumbag, I WAS GONNA RULE THE WORLD, WAAAAAAAAAA!" In his fit of rage a question mark block hits him in the head and a Cape Feather comes out and in a effort to shut down Bowser, he eats and turns into Super Wario! From Smash Bros Brawl. {Obligatory Mario Reference 14} And fly's off to stop Bowser! That's all I could think of I hove you like it finnthepony!
I hope that, if they do make either a luigi's mansion 4 or a movie) they make Daisy a central character, they've established in the games they're dating, so why not!. I'd make it like the game broken age where you can swap between playing as Luigi or Daisy whenever you want. p.s., if you don't know Broken age, basically it's where you play as two different characters with seemingly different stories at the same time.
I could see two sequels, one I really want, wario and Waluigi showing up and doing stuff, or the one that’s more likely, the Koopalings showing up and kidnapping yoshis, so the main Yoshi shows up and her and Mario save the day

Not a bad idea. I'm liking where this is going. But I think I have a better idea for Wario's backstory. Wario and Mario once attended the same school, as did Luigi and Waluigi. But Wario and Waluigi aren't their actual names instead being something different. (But for the sake of clarity, I'mma call em by their names here) Though while Mario got picked on for being shorter and a bit pudgy, and Luigi was the whimpiest kid in class, they were generally liked. Wario was the class bully who typically stole the lunch money from kids and Waluigi was the loser who was self-pitying so no one really liked him. One day Wario stole some money that was going to be used for a class field trip to buy the kids lunch, with the help of Waluigi. When it seemed like the kids were going to go hungry, young Mario (who's child mind had no understanding of the value of the dollar) took out some money he'd been saving from his allowance, something he was saving so he and Luigi could have buy a candy bar to share after school, and offered it to help pay at least in a little part for the lunch. But before he can do so Wario tries to grab it cause his greed knows no bounds. They fight and Wario's backpack flies open revealing the money he'd stolen. Wario and Waluigi were both suspended and cried because they were barred from going on any fieldtrip again. Seeing this the kids coined their new names as Wario and Waliugi because they went "waa waa waaa all the way home," and those titles stuck with them as the bad brothers as compared to the good brothers of Mario and Luigi. And that's my backstory idea
Here's my idea for this sequel: 1. Koopa General is still alive and is the main antagonist 2. Diddy & Dixie having more screen time. 3. Yoshi's voice from the games 4. Dixie Kong wearing a biker suit with no helmet. and 5. More Luigi scenes.
Maybe in the final battle, Wario could be so changed by the power ups he consumed that the power up effects fuse (Fire and Raccoon, Ice and Hammers, etc.) so he uses the Dragon Crystal and Eagle Statue from the Virtual Boy Wario Land game to become King Dragon Wario, and Mario ends up teaming up with Bowser, and they take the few powerups Peach gathered from her ambassador trip and Mario transforms into Super Power-Up Mario from the Super Mario Kun manga, and maybe Bowser could use some too, idk. Meanwhile, Luigi, joined by Waluigi and Yoshi probably, goes to try and get the Poison Mushroom to King Dragon Wario while he's distracted.

My idea for a sequel is that it plays out Similarly to this one however when peach summons mario, luigi and toad there's one more character toadette. their Misson is to find some power ups that hasn't been taken by the wario bros so they all go their separate ways first we have the mario bros while they are heading the the wooded kingdom they find the cap kingdom and in it is the one the only cappy. He says that the wario bros attack the kingdom and stole all the power ups and trapped all the over caps in yoshi eggs only cappy survived by hiding in a sub area. Cappy decides the join the mario bros to help them beat wario and wauligi and they journey to the cascade kingdom to get the oddesey. They go to get some powermoons to power up the oddesey and they travel to the wooded kingdom. And while toadette is looking for power ups they find an undiscovered power up it looks like a Crown with eyes toadette just puts it in the bag with the others and continues. After that toad and peaches adventures play out the same so next they all come to the mushroom kingdom to prepare for warios overweight and overpowerd onslaught. so when they finish the posin mushrooms they check the map to see where wario is and see that he has set up camp for the night so they decide to ambush him. So they go to the Kong island (which wasn't raided isteand wario just found some scarp metal in a forest and built his bike form that) to build bikes for everyone ready to defeat wario and save not only the mushroom kingdom but the entire world. After they all fly of a glide ramp and go over some famier places like: whomps fortress, the lake kingdom and even mushroom gorge.
Alll I want is for Luigi to bond with yoshi, also I rlly want yoshi to at least speak a little( I know it sounds bad but it worked rlly well for teams right)?

If I were to write the sequel script, here would be the plot, and I wanna focus on the plot more: The movie starts with the Mario Brothers getting out of bed in a Mushroom house and put on their red and green caps and overalls. They zoom out of their Toadhouse and walk through the streets of Toad town together, they would wave to the toads as they go, perhaps the Lumalee could set up a store selling Mario merchandise, as they go on their walk to the castle, Peach rushes to them and tells them about a Yoshi egg hatching in the sewers of brooklyn, but the residents of brooklyn see this dinosaur as harmful, so the cops are hunting down this Yoshi after their discovery. Peach tells them to get him back to the world he belongs in before people capture him. The brothers immediately head back to the pipe they came in, but happens to bump into Toad, possibly even in the captain toad outfit and just had a great adventure, Luigi explains the situation to toad and toad gives them two 1 - up mushrooms and wish them good luck. They eat the mushrooms and gets in the pipe. Flashback to before they moved to the Mushroom Kingdom, they sold their plumbing business to Wario and Waluigi, who are greedy for money after they just moved from diamond city. Right now, Wario and Waluigi just got a job from the state to fix the sewers of brooklyn, they had heard about the yoshi egg and about how the first person to find it will get 10k, so they head into the sewers and their surprise, they see a fully grown yoshi, they were shocked and decided to follow him, the yoshi was wandering in the sewers, lost, and coincidentally walked to the green, mysterious pipe, which the mario bros suddenly pops out to get him, but yoshi flutter jumped away from Mario's arms and ran, Wario was confused to see their bosses in here, but he insisted to keep chasing the yoshi. However, Waluigi was too tempted to take a look at the suspicious pipe so he walks into the pipe and get sucked into it, Wario was worried about him, so he also jumped in. Cut to Mario and Luigi, the yoshi had finally escaped from the sewers and went out in a manhole, there can then be this awesome chase scene in the streets of brooklyn, the cops immediately chased after them, but yoshi was too fast, Mario takes a feather from his pocket and gets a cape from Super Mario World, he eventually gets yoshi and went back to the pipe, luigi followed. Meanwhile, Wario and Waluigi had landed in the dark lands in a terrible storm, they searched for shelter from the rain but meets an group of paratroopas, the paratroopas carries them to their clown cars to send them back to the castle, Wario and Walugi were scared. Then, they go back to Bowser's castle, whch is now under the reign of Kamek, trying to rescue his boss from the cage, Wario and Waluigi were brought to see him, which Kamek was shocked to see humans again. But he then thought that Wario and Waluigi can sneak get into the Mushroom Kingdom with their identities as humans, so he pays them a bunch of golden coins and explains the plan to them. Meanwhile, Mario and Luigi had successfully brought the yoshi back to the Mushroom Kingdom, The Mario Bros and Yoshi were friends now, as Yoshi knew that they were not harmful. So they bring the Yoshi to see Peach. Peach said that green yoshis were very rare, and that they would bring him back to Yoshi's Island the day after. So the very next day, the three head to Yoshi's Island on Peach's private jet, maybe Mario and Peach's relationship could expand more here. When they head to Yoshi's Island, they realised that the Yoshi didn't want to leave Mario and Luigi, so they decided to keep him. When they head back to the Mushroom Kingdom, two guards approached them and told them that Bowser had escaped, as they explained, they said that two humans came and said that they were the princess's friends, which the guards thought was reasonable as they are humans, but shortly after, Bowser's cage was unlocked and maybe Bowser is now in his normal size, coming for revenge. Peach thought that she needed a stronger weapon to fight against Bowser, so they headed to Sarasaland with Toad and Toadette (a female toad which recently moved in) as they volunteered. They went to Sarasaland and met with princess Daisy, Peach's close friend and explained to problem to her, and asked if she could get the Super Star from their kingdom. Daisy gives them their Super Star and insists to go with them to fight Bowser. We then learn that there were originally 5 super stars in the world, one in Ice Kingdom, one in Sarasaland, one in the Jungle Kingdom which Cranky Kong (The King) had perished to his dead wife Wrinkly, one on Yoshi's Island, guarded by the Yoshis, and one unknown. There are currently only 3 left. As they leave Sarasaland, they noticed a bunch of clown cars flying towards them and they all drop down and try killing the brothers, hammer bros, koopas, goombas, basically everything. Mario sees a fire flower on the ground and picks it up to throw fireballs on the enemies, and Luigi runs for his life, which he somehow ended up in a castle, which he then noticed a boom boom, he tried escaping, but it was no use as the door was locked, the boom boom starts attacking Luigi, but suddenly, Donkey Kong smashes through the walls and combats the boom boom, Mario, who has just escaped an intense chase had also arrived, and they team up to kill the boom boom. Peach, Toad and Daisy finally caught up with them, and DK greets the princess. They go back to the private jet to head back, Mario and DK were still rivals and are still arguing. Cut to Bowser, who was mad about his army dying, but then says that he has a backup plan and laughs. Wario and Waluigi suddenly pop up from the back of the jet and grabs toad, opens the door, and jumps onto a clown car. They then realised that they were hiding there the entire time, so the plane chases after the clown car to rescue the kidnapped toad. And they somehow landed in Bowser's castle, everyone was ready to battle, Mario hops on Yoshi, Luigi gets an ice flower, Peach goes to talk with Bowser to try and convince him not to destroy her kingdom, Toad gets a fire flower when Bowser wasn't aware of him, DK is in his smash pose. Bowser then tells the princess that her kingdom is guarded by his minions, and opens the door to let her see all the innocent toads being scared and the koopas everywhere, toad throws a fireball at bowser so he falls off the castle, then was Kamek. After they all fell down, they jumped down to the Mushroom Kingdom and an intense battle begins. Perhaps there could be this scene where Wario and Waluigi are betrayed by Bowser and Mario saves them and teams up. So then Bowser dies. I can see this being a 2.5 hour long movie.
For starters, for the scene where Mario walks around the Mushroom Kingdom greeting the residents, my two suggestion to improve this scene is to have him go to a dance floor and do a very specific thing you may know, with a certain music playing, I'm giving you three guess where I'm going with this. That's right, HE DOES THE MARIO with the outro of the Super Show playing in the background.
I was thinking of Wario being an antagonist for the next film too!!! Wario being some distant cousin of the mario bros and, with his lackey waluigi, manipulating bowser or maybe even the mario bros into letting him exploit and industrialise the mushroom kingdom under their noses, fuelling his greed. I was also thinking that perhaps the koopalings could be introduced, maybe as a travelling group of outcasts from yoshi's island looking for other dragon-turtles like themselves. Maybe then bowser could be reluctant toward showing them kindness, before wario suggests the idea of keeping them as guards, and, as they become better and better at fighting/fending off the mario bros, bowser gets more and more attached and protective of them and becomes their father figure. this would all culminate in a big finale where, upon realising that wario was only using him for his own personal gain, bowser is forced to team up with the mario bros, peach, and perhaps even yoshi and daisy (not sure how daisy would be introduced though) to stop wario from stealing his kingdom and his princess!!
That is a cool idea! Wario manipulating bowser, the koopalings being introduced and wario causing the industrialisation of the kingdoms sounds cool. It be kinda realistic with wario doing that and maybe they could link it to the environment and maybe even use Biggering from the Lorax
Ok real talk I like this idea for a sequel a lot. Wario in this story kind of feels like a dark reflection of Mario, and I really like waluigi’s character here.
I brought up my own ideas for Mario sequels in another video out there about this topic and I got it to five more movies along with a Donkey Kong Country spin-off…yeah I kinda went overboard and they’re definitely not the best ideas but eh, whatever. The 2nd movie: The Luigi’s Mansion Movie, a role reversal of the first where Luigi pays Mario back for saving him from Bowser by saving Mario from King Boo with help from Yoshi as a nod to Mario Is Missing, doing more with Luigi’s bravery arc along with having things from the other two Luigi’s Mansion games even when this is primarily an adaption of the first like having Polterpup who can return in the other movies as Luigi’s pet, and E. Gadd maybe making Gooigi in the final act (and like Luigi in the final battle of the first movie, Mario would try to help in the final battle here, maybe by keeping the other Boos off Luigi’s back while he deals with King Boo). The 3rd: The Super Mario World Movie, we finally get a full movie with the Bros as we go all in with the Yoshi species as Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, and Toad go to Yoshi’s Island where they face off with Wario and Waluigi. The 4th: The Super Mario Sunshine Movie, the bros, Peach, and Toad go to Isle Delfino and meet Toadsworth there (who should’ve been in the first movie in the place of that blue Toad in the council, seriously Illumination, what the heck), who can be established as Peach’s father figure since she came to the Mushroom Kingdom and Peach, after a lot of convincing, was able to get Toadsworth to take a long break since he spent a long time practically being the Mushroom Kingdom’s leader on top of doing the most to raise Peach (so Isle Delfino is where Toadsworth has been), and we’re introduced to Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings, Bowser Jr., like the game, thinks Peach is his mother which I think would be very funny to see how these versions of the characters react to that, Mario is framed by Bowser Jr., meets F.L.U.D.D., Mario, Luigi, Peach, and F.L.U.D.D. beat Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings with Toad and Toadsworth making sure the civilians don’t get caught in the crossfire, but it’s revealed while that was going down, back at the Mushroom Kingdom, Kamek was able to break Bowser out and bring him back to normal size, now Bowser’s return becomes like a sword hanging over their heads, especially Mario and Luigi as Bowser feels he especially has a bone to pick with them. The 5th: The Super Mario Odyssey Movie, another problem comes before Bowser makes his comeback when surprisingly there seems to be no trace of him as the villain from the Mario 2 game, Wart, tries to take over the world (not really sure if this is the best villain choice honestly) and so the four mains get Yoshi and Donkey Kong’s help again and go all over the world to stop him with Mario’s hat getting destroyed, and like the game, they meet Cappy as he becomes Mario’s hat and new ally, the other main new addition being when they go to Sarasaland and meet Daisy (probably giving a subplot for her and Luigi’s relationship, including Mario probably trying to act as a wingman for Luigi but failing at it, as well as that also giving Peach and Daisy a friendship). The 6th: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, the reason Bowser was missing during the last was because he searched for the Grand Star and now has set his sights on the universe, all the main characters come together one last time (not sure about Cappy though, maybe he joins or maybe he went back to his normal life with Mario getting a new hat) along with Diddy Kong from Donkey Kong’s movie as they meet Rosalina and her Lumas (maybe giving some backstory for Lumalee and why he or she (I don’t know) is so depressing) to defeat Bowser, Bowser Jr., Kamek, the Koopalings, and their forces again.
I think Mario and Luigi should be the ones to find Yoshi in the sewers so it can be a nod to the TV show of Super Mario World where the first person Yoshi sees is Luigi and calls him his mama. A total nod to Mama Luigi
DANNY DEVITO FOR WARIO Edit: I have a idea that the sequel will actually show Mario trying to help out the community and I think I know a good way to do that by showing him as his multiple jobs whether as a doctor, a Carpenter, or he can just stick by his regular old plumber role this reference could definitely show that Mario truly is the jack of all cards
I feel like the inclusion of both Wario and Waluigi would be fun and they could be introduced as rival plumbers of Brooklyn who were better and more successful than Mario and Luigi before the event of the first movie. They could be hired or persuaded with promises of riches by Bowser to fight fire with fire and the second movie would focus more on Luigi and Waluigi since I fealt as if Luigi didn't get much spot light. Waluigi would be someone Luigi looks up too and admire's for his confidence and try to learn and copy from him but he would also learn the cold-hearted nature of his greediness and the lack of love towards his own brother and Luigi would learn from Waluigi that love and compassion is not a weakness. And idk maybe Bowser can sing another song or something. (Wishful Thinking I Guess)
One of the things I would change is the fart jokes. I’m sorry, but the Mario movie has proven to be above humour like that and I feel it should stay that way. It was pretty funny here though. Other than that, great video.
Well finnthepony that could be something for Wario and Waluigi but I believe the next one will involve Bowser's son Bowser Jr and the Koopalings since Bowser is captured and Kamek for some reason disappeared about losing the Power Star. I believe after his capture Kamek went to go look for Bowser Jr telling him the bad news which will lead to his plans for rescuing his dad and getting revenge on the Mario Brothers so he calls in The Koopalings to come up with a plan TWO plans that is one for rescuing Bowser and the other to lure the Mario Bros into a trap. I've said this in multiple different places now, but All I really want from Mario (apart from a bit more story in the games) is more good bad guys. what I mean by that are characters like what we see in the first 2 Paper Mario games. koopas, goombas, Boos, etc that are just kinda chill.
I do like what you have so far for this sequel, but if I could make one critique, I think that there is too much of an emphasis on Wario and Waluigi, to the point where it feels like its _their movie_ not Mario's movie. I also think Bowser could still be in the film to a lesser extent, maybe as a surprise appearance near the end of the movie like Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
At first, I thought Waluigi being called “Jimmy” was just a generic name. Then I remembered a faked Nintendo Power scan saying his real name was “Jimmy Poppadopalos”. If that’s what you were going for with that name, I will make one hundred alts just to sub.
I think Waluigi should start off being called Antonio Scapelli working for Spike wearing a purple version of the 1993 movie outfit. Also Waluigi could be voiced by John Leguizamo
I would love to see Wario and Waluigi as the new villains, not just as cameos. Both will be voiced by Charles Martinet, it would be awesome! I can imagine them freeing Bowser from his cage then working with him in exchange for money. They can destroy the brothers, Toad, Peach and Donkey kong for him then he'll be the most powerful villain if every heroes is dead. Sounds cool to me 😀
I really wish Wario and Waluigi get their own spinnof about them going around diffrent kingdoms or starting a war betwen the Kong kingdom and the mushroom kingdom or something just give them a spinnof
Can I suggest an alternate/better Movie!Wario voice? I believe Curtis Armstrong would be perfect in the role, especially if you know him from the cult classic that is Dan Vs. Also I could've sworn the thing about Wario and Waluigi's moralities was the other way around, Wario being occasionally nice (there's a reason the WarioWare crew stick around him) and Waluigi being a prick through-and-through. Also also, Kazumi Totaka reprising his role as Yoshi or bust.
I honestly do hope that the sequel focuses more on story this time. I was fine with how the first film handled its story and I still really like that movie, but I only let it slide because it was a first movie that was just trying to have a simple start establishing the world and characters. A sequel is the perfect opportunity to take full advantage of fleshing out the characters more and giving us a more deep story.
I like this script because I always thought it’d be hard to make Wario and Waluigi the main villains of a sequel since they didn’t really have an army like Bowser does, but giving them Yoshis as an army is brilliant honestly, I am curious how Daisy will play into the next one because Peach implied she was really the only human she knew, I’m also curious about what roles you’ll have Bowser and DK play, also I’m half convinced that Wario and Waluigi’s real names are a reference to Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul
We need at least one Penguin Suit Wario scene as a semi-obligatory _Batman Returns_ reference. Also at least one reference to Mona’s huge crush on Wario.
I had ALMOST the same idea, but instead of Wario and Waluigi being just jealous of Mario and Luigi, I would think of them more as Knock-offs trying to bank on Mario and Luigi’s popularity. I mean the full stuff, they buy a 2nd hand camera to make an even lower quality and budget ad for their business, they make knock-off Mario and Luigi suits (which are lazily slapped together Wario and Waluigi costumes in the beginning of the film that later become higher quality versions) and Wario even saves up to buy a purple van that has a glued-on, cardboard sign saying “Wario Bros Plumbing” with simply drawn illustrations of Wario and Waluigi. They get a call for a job, but forget their toolbox. So, Wario rushes through a construction site in the shape of the first level of Wario Land 4 (bc 4 is probably the best) and when he DOES get the tool kit, he gets called by Waluigi who screams “HURRY UP!” as a remix of the hurry up music from Wario Land 4 starts playing while Wario makes it back to the place they are supposed to be. This is only the opening I have thought of. The rest is something you can use your imagination for.
I still like the idea of Bowser Jr. coming through the pipe like Peach did in her origin story, complete with clown car, and uses gadgets to save "Papa" from his prison, confuses Peach by calling her "Mama," and Bowser grabs Jr. and yeets themselves out the window. Then the whole movie is Bowser bonding with his AU son, followed by Luigi taking a bigger spotlight than the first game and more jumping, karting, and referencing to fill the rest of it!
I absolutely love this pitch idea and completely agree, even though I would also like to see Wario and Waluigi as well, but I do think introducing Bowser Jr and the plotline surrounding his belief that Peach is his mother would really be fascinating to see and introduce a side of Bowser we dont see, undying love for his kids and for Jr. It would also give Peach a new perspective of Bowser and his family, who knows maybe he wanted to marry Peach because wanted to give his son a mother figure? I also really love that you want to focus more on Luigi for the sequel because I did feel like we didn't get enough of Luigi, despite how excellent Charlie Day was in the role. Since well see Yoshi we could centre the film around Luigi and Yoshi's relationship.

Here's one idea I had for a bit of world building. One that could fit in nicely with the ideas discussed here:
Ever since the Mario Bros saved the day in the first film, their popularity has skyrocketed to new heights. And in a very on-the-nose reference to Mario's popularity in real life, there would be all kinds of Mario Bros-themed merchandise all over Brooklyn and the Mushroom Kingdom. Shirts, books, games, food tie-ins, the works. Including that Warp Pipe from the sewers being a tourist attraction (as mentioned in the video). But perhaps one of the biggest contributions to the their popularity would be a half hour TV show based on the SMB Plumbing commercial. One that serves as both a callback and expansion to Charles Martinet's cameo where he played an off-brand Mario. Only this time, the joke would be pushed even further with Giuseppe and a green-equivalent to him playing Mario and Luigi respectively. Not only that, but the show itself would be a double reference to the Super Show's live action segments and Martinet's Instagram videos (the ones where he recorded himself doing silly things with his Mario and Luigi toys). There would even have a scene in the film where the actual Mario and Luigi are seen watching it at Punch-Out Pizzeria, both showing a different reaction towards it. Luigi loves it as any joke they tell makes him laugh uncontrollably. Mario meanwhile is shown to be not as impressed by it. Embarrassed even.

This would play a pretty major part in the story where Mario starts to become not as satisfied with the Bros' new found popularity. Always being asked for autographs, seeing his face plastered onto things everywhere, and having to impress the kids and their parents whenever they see him (which at this point in the movie he isn't very good yet. Kinda like Marlin in Finding Nemo where he tries to tell a joke but fails). Mario's overall more serious and focused on his plumbing career and what potential danger could be next for the bros and everyone in the Mushroom Kingdom. Though later on as the film progresses, he slowly starts to learn that he doesn't have to be just the guy who saves everyone from danger. He can also be someone that's there for everyone too (friends, family, and the fans). Plus at the end of movie, Mario would even grow to appreciate Giuseppe's take on Mario after a 2nd watch of the TV show.
I'm glad the Mario movie turned out as well as it did, and if we do get a sequel then I hope they take their time with it. No rushing because of the first movie's success, because that's always a recipe for disaster 🤔

If I were to write a sequel script, it would have Kamek finding Wario in Diamond City because we don’t actually know if he went back to the Mushroom Kingdom. He would ask Wario to help him save Bowser. Wario would deny the offer at first until Kamek mentions Mario, and then Wario gets furious. He would start yelling about how Mario is the bane of his existence. In this script, Wario’s family and Mario’s family used to be neighbors in Brooklyn, and Wario’s parents were so jealous that the neighbor’s kid was so perfect, that they ended changing their kids name to Wario with the excuse that “The W stands for winner!” From that point on all his parents cared about was proving that Wario was better than Mario. They even put him in the same college as Mario, one where Wario didn’t want to go. Wario accepts Kamek’s offer as they go to Brooklyn and enter the sewers. That’s how I would introduce Wario, I wouldn’t use Waluigi, I think it would be better for Wario to be on his own for this movie. I would also introduce Bowser Jr into this movie, I don’t know how, but I would. Once Bowser escapes, he would make his goal to get the Shine sprite from Super Mario Sunshine. His big plan will be to get the Shine to power a weapon he made blue prints for, the giant mechanical Bowser statue from every Console Mario Kart game after Double Dash. But where is the Shine? At Isle Delfino, inside Corona Mountain, which would definitely have it’s name changed to something like “The Delcano” (get it? a mix between Delfino and Volcano) the movie would have Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, and Yoshi race against Bowser, Bowser Jr, Kamek, and Wario to get to the Shine first. One more thing, when everyone ends up at The Delcano, the only way to get to the Shine is to play a game of Mario Party.
Awesome! My main thing is just that since Peach talks about how she's never seen another human in the first movie, I doubt that Daisy would have her own kingdom. I personally think that Daisy lived in the human world, and the whole event when the world's merged created a "holy crap! Is that my sister who mysteriously disappeared when we were babies/toddlers?!" So she also goes to the Mushroom Kingdom to check this out and reunite with Peach.
The brothers know Daisy; they aren't close or anything, but they're friendly towards each other (and because I'm a sucker for romance Luigi harbors a MAJOR crush on her, though the plot wouldn't be too focused on that; maybe Luigi just trying to act cool and failing miserably)
I have been coming up with my own ideas for a sequel as well, namely Wario and Waluigi (originally known as Warren and Wally) are Mario and Luigi's estranged cousins who are jealous of their fame, leading to the pair sneaking into the Mushroom Kingdom to go on an intergalactic treasure hunt for power stars.
I think kamek Recruiting Wario and Waluigi would make a lot more since. Maybe because after seeing what Mario, Luigi and even peach can do he sees the power humans have.

As for possible ideas to add, maybe the inciting incident that got Wario aware of Mario was him and Luigi actually visiting Diamond City to help with some sort of plumbing problems the city's sewer system is facing, with Mayor Pauline even going on the news to express her faith in the Mario Bros and their plumbing skills, saying how they were more than capable of doing the job. Maybe it can be a sequence mirroring their original job in the first movie, where Mario and Luigi are able to deal with all the rapidly changing problems in comparison to the first movie where they are stretched too thin thanks to Francis. A little while later after the news reported on Mario and Luigi effortlessly fixing the problem in Diamond City and getting cleaned up, we can have Mario and Luigi performing that Paper Mario puppet show in Diamond City for a group of kids, being broadcasted to the rest of the world, with two very noticeable humans being a small kid in red with a yellow helmet, and a bigger kid dressed in green with a disk on his head. That's right if you're adding WarioWare references to this pile, then I'm adding in 9-Volt and 18-Volt. Maybe they do a questionnaire with the kids with them asking about their story and how they got as far as they did, with Mario and Luigi remaining humble by saying how they're just regular humans at the end of the day, lucky to be given the chance to prove themselves, and while the road they got there was tough, they're more than happy to prove themselves at the end of the day. They don't even acknowledge all the cameras on them until they use them to greet their family and former boss. This can be used to show the two different personalities between Mario and Wario, with Mario remaining the kind-hearted man and icon of inspiration, while Wario is just incredibly jealous and angry at how this regular joe schmoe is able to be this famous while he, someone "much more promising", is stuck in a dead-end job. Maybe Wario could also see 9-Volt and 18-Volt being super fans of Mario and Luigi as insulting, as he isn't even safe in his own city with other fans swarming them, fans that should be playing HIS games.
Of course, we can also put many other WarioWare characters in here, like maybe one of the locations in the real world is Club Sugar with Jimmy T and his family dancing on the stage, with that possibly being the same building Waluigi has his tennis fantasy at, or we could even have a return to the Dark Land with Wario trying to find more power-ups and find out that the new owner of that creepy castle the shy guys were is now Ashley. We know she is a witch and is definitely not as human as the regular humans in the world, so it could make sense that she is some traveling witch who found her way into the Mushroom Kingdom; not from Mario's real world, but from another of the far off universes Peach alluded to.
One other idea I had was that when Peach asks Daisy about possibly helping out Mario and taking down Wario's army, Daisy just dismisses Mario and says "He's not important," not really believing that a mere human could take down Bowser. This can lead to Peach getting insulted by this and defending him, saying how despite everything he still keeps getting up and helping out those in need, being a contrast to when Peach said this in the original movie. Daisy could then shoot back, laughing while saying how she realizes why Peach needed the help so badly was to keep her "boyfriend" safe, quickly stumbling her as she gets flustered by the idea. Peach could recover by showing Daisy that Mario wasn't the only one who beat Bowser, saying how his brother helped, showing Daisy a picture of Luigi, and talking about how brave and selfless he also is, along with being single. Daisy gets red and accuses Peach of using dirty tactics to get her to help, but she does offer a challenge to Peach, declaring that if she could beat Daisy in a race to the finish on her own turf, she would help Peach and her army. She also takes that picture of Luigi, but only so Peach can't use it to try and tempt her with childish tricks, or so she says...

For the tracks that would eventually be replaced by the aforementioned pop songs in this sequel idea, for the first one, I could imagine a cheery version of Mario’s theme, and for the second one I could imagine a mix between the main theme of WarioWare & Wario’s own unique theme!

When I saw your Wario and Waluigi castings, I cheered so happily! I so desperately want Danny Devito and Willem Dafoe as Wario and Waluigi, they'd be so perfect! Heck, I even made a whole video of my fancasting! And your premise is fantastic! A very simple story for a Mario Movie, which is perfect! However, if I had to make some changes for it, i'd have the fart jokes less frequent and I'd give Luigi more screentime. Besides those two changes, it's pretty much perfect!
My idea for the sequel: 7 star children, it allows all previous characters and Wario to be in. I like to think the star lore also link to Rosalina in some way. This video could also work for my idea if somethings were change. But I love where the direction is going on your ideas.

The chances of Wario and specially Waluigi appearing in the second movie aren’t high if former Nintendo EAD members are involved. Have you ever noticed how side characters like them, Daisy and the RPG characters are missing in the core Mario games, the kind that EAD was in charge of until they got merged with another group? Can’t remember if it’s a rumor or not that EAD developers don’t like the Mario characters they didn’t create. Which makes the games and the movie suffer, Peach in the movie is too action girl and thus unfaithful to her game portrayal. They should’ve made Daisy the action girl, her tomboyish personality is always alluded to but virtually never shown.
First possible add ons for this part: Since this is a big day for Peach why not have Mario give her the gift of a Nintendo 3DS with Kid Icarus Uprising on it, show the Yoshis that Wario and Waluigi gather around the big fruit tree with the heart shaped fruit in the middle from the game Yoshi’s Story, and possibly show Wario using the metal cap during his rampage to not only show off the power up but to possibly reference Mario 64 DS as that was his Power Flower power up in that game.
And as for possible part 2 stuff: When Mario and Luigi get to the wooded kingdom how Luigi say something like “Wow look at this green and hilly space, it’s beautiful.” and have Mario reply “Eh, green hills ain’t nothing to write home about.” as a reference and slight jab at Sonic and his first movie where the blue blur said he hated mushrooms, have Waluigi help both himself and the green Yoshi he and Wario entered the world with via the dinosaur eating nearby rocks and shooting them as eggs like he does in the Yoshi’s Island series only for Waluigi to use a tennis racket to bat them back and have Yoshi eat the eggs to repeat shooting possibly having Yoshi miss one and jet an egg to the face where Waluigi goes to make sure he isn’t majorly hurt before resuming their training together, and for Peach and Daisy have a part where the latter wants to get a few rounds in for some fun with Peach using the frog suit from Super Mario 2 which Peach wore in the Mario World tv show while Daisy uses the carrot power up from her debut game for a brawl of bouncing animals.

I hope that Ludwig and the koopalings come as we know at least Ludwig exists so I hope that he’s bowser’s 3rd or 2nd in command. So 👏 the story: Ludwig returns from a mission and looks around for bowser until he realises that bowser is captured. He takes over bowser’s kingdom and actually does a good job. He even makes the airships and even upgraded it to make it go to space. Meanwhile peach is siting on here thrown giving orders and donkey Kong even shows up to punch some rebel koopas.but then Mario as he is drinking some coffee sees a shadow over the castle. Then a bunch of koopas clime down from the anchors but there not the normal one’s. Morton charges into the castle and uses his hammer to knock some toads into walls. Lenny throws some bombs to break bowsers cage, hides it in a ball and grabs an anchor and dips. He gives bowsers cage to Ludwig, bowser says “hey! Right hand guy! Can you get me out of this?” Then Ludwig says “hmmmmm… no”. Bowser then gets dropped on Mario’s head. Mario says “you again…” bowser shouts “OK! YES I KNOW WE HATE EACH OTHER (breath in) sigh I need your help, that backstabbing koopa dropped me off a flying ship.” Mario says “sigh fine just on 1 condition, you must stay small.” Then they go to the dark lands where there is a reference to the OG Mario games as we see a koopa jumping over a little goomba, press a button and causes the goomba to fall into a red ball pit. Then they meet a wiggler who says “oh! King Koopa! I’m assuming you want the child?” Bowser says “yes but ignore the plumber.” Then the wiggler walks to a playroom where he says “Ok! All aboard the choo choo train!” “Daddy!” Then we meet bowser jr. “why are you so small? I’m bigger!” “Eh long story but we need you to come along.” Then Mario says hello and then they return to peach who asks “ok 2 questions, 1: why is bowser there and 2: how is the kid?” Bowser then explains everything. Meanwhile we cut to Ludwig who is chatting to lenny and asks about bowser as Ludwig if forgetting to pay them.
The overall structure I do like but there's some definite things I'd change
1. Way less fart jokes. We were so lucky to not get ANY in the Mario movie and I hope that trend continues because it isn't really a part of Mario's humor. Sure, Mario is for kids but it's not lowest denominator humor like toilet or fart jokes.
2. I'd actually swap out Daisy and put her alongside Wario and Waluigi in the friend group. It makes for a nice good group (Peach, Mario, Luigi, and Toad) and evil group (Dasiy, Wario, Waluigi, and Yoshi). It could even be a case of Daisy being the moral compass for Wario and Waluigi before one or the two convince her otherwise. Maybe Daisy could be inspired by Peach to eventually denounce her friendship with the two villains and join with Yoshi to thwart what they accidentally started.
Maybe the sequel can actually explore Bowser's relationship with his kids (Bowser Jr and the Koopalings). Maybe Wario kidnaps Bowser's kids to make sure Bowser doesn't try to stop him from his conquest and Bowser requests Luigi's help in saving his kids, giving the little brother a side plot and some time in the spotlight.
I want to see Mario and Wario fight epically in the style of Sonic and Knuckles fight from Sonic movie 2 and maybe they can even fight with power ups. Tanooki Mario vs Wario-Man
Waluigi should also develop abilities from power ups like jump really high, teleport and swim in the air like it's implied he can do and use bomb omb and piranha plants in the battles
Here's an idea: So at one point in the Movie, Wario enters the castle, and gets chased by a hoard of toads and then he smashes into a locked room that has a Mega Mushroom in it and Wario is dumbstruck. Since, it's the second most powerful power up in the Mushroom Kingdom, the most being the superstar. He's about to eat it but he gets dogpiled by the Toads, and drops the mushroom. It goes bouncing around and everyone goes chasing it and they all pass by Bowser's cage and Bowser sees the Mega Mushroom. To eat it and gain it's power, he breathes all the fire in his stomach to melt the wires in the cage. He hops out and since he's so small, nobody notices him bounce by in his shell Double Dash item style {Obligatory Mario Reference 12} and lunges into the mushroom. He turns HUGE like in NSMBW {Obligatory Mario Reference 13} and destroys Peach's castle. He walks up to the pipe and smashes it and it creates a vortex like in the original, sending everything into Brooklyn and when they exit the other pipe there's a huge explosion! It sends everything flying including Wario on top of a huge building. It gives him a great view of all the destruction Bowser's causing, and he just says, "Hey scumbag, I WAS GONNA RULE THE WORLD, WAAAAAAAAAA!" In his fit of rage a question mark block hits him in the head and a Cape Feather comes out and in a effort to shut down Bowser, he eats and turns into Super Wario! From Smash Bros Brawl. {Obligatory Mario Reference 14} And fly's off to stop Bowser!

I hope that, if they do make either a luigi's mansion 4 or a movie) they make Daisy a central character, they've established in the games they're dating, so why not!. I'd make it like the game broken age where you can swap between playing as Luigi or Daisy whenever you want.
p.s., if you don't know Broken age, basically it's where you play as two different characters with seemingly different stories at the same time.

Not a bad idea. I'm liking where this is going. But I think I have a better idea for Wario's backstory.
Wario and Mario once attended the same school, as did Luigi and Waluigi. But Wario and Waluigi aren't their actual names instead being something different. (But for the sake of clarity, I'mma call em by their names here) Though while Mario got picked on for being shorter and a bit pudgy, and Luigi was the whimpiest kid in class, they were generally liked. Wario was the class bully who typically stole the lunch money from kids and Waluigi was the loser who was self-pitying so no one really liked him.
One day Wario stole some money that was going to be used for a class field trip to buy the kids lunch, with the help of Waluigi. When it seemed like the kids were going to go hungry, young Mario (who's child mind had no understanding of the value of the dollar) took out some money he'd been saving from his allowance, something he was saving so he and Luigi could have buy a candy bar to share after school, and offered it to help pay at least in a little part for the lunch. But before he can do so Wario tries to grab it cause his greed knows no bounds. They fight and Wario's backpack flies open revealing the money he'd stolen. Wario and Waluigi were both suspended and cried because they were barred from going on any fieldtrip again. Seeing this the kids coined their new names as Wario and Waliugi because they went "waa waa waaa all the way home," and those titles stuck with them as the bad brothers as compared to the good brothers of Mario and Luigi.
And that's my backstory idea

Maybe in the final battle, Wario could be so changed by the power ups he consumed that the power up effects fuse (Fire and Raccoon, Ice and Hammers, etc.) so he uses the Dragon Crystal and Eagle Statue from the Virtual Boy Wario Land game to become King Dragon Wario, and Mario ends up teaming up with Bowser, and they take the few powerups Peach gathered from her ambassador trip and Mario transforms into Super Power-Up Mario from the Super Mario Kun manga, and maybe Bowser could use some too, idk. Meanwhile, Luigi, joined by Waluigi and Yoshi probably, goes to try and get the Poison Mushroom to King Dragon Wario while he's distracted.

My idea for a sequel is that it plays out Similarly to this one however when peach summons mario, luigi and toad there's one more character toadette. their Misson is to find some power ups that hasn't been taken by the wario bros so they all go their separate ways first we have the mario bros while they are heading the the wooded kingdom they find the cap kingdom and in it is the one the only cappy. He says that the wario bros attack the kingdom and stole all the power ups and trapped all the over caps in yoshi eggs only cappy survived by hiding in a sub area. Cappy decides the join the mario bros to help them beat wario and wauligi and they journey to the cascade kingdom to get the oddesey. They go to get some powermoons to power up the oddesey and they travel to the wooded kingdom. And while toadette is looking for power ups they find an undiscovered power up it looks like a Crown with eyes toadette just puts it in the bag with the others and continues. After that toad and peaches adventures play out the same so next they all come to the mushroom kingdom to prepare for warios overweight and overpowerd onslaught. so when they finish the posin mushrooms they check the map to see where wario is and see that he has set up camp for the night so they decide to ambush him. So they go to the Kong island (which wasn't raided isteand wario just found some scarp metal in a forest and built his bike form that) to build bikes for everyone ready to defeat wario and save not only the mushroom kingdom but the entire world. After they all fly of a glide ramp and go over some famier places like: whomps fortress, the lake kingdom and even mushroom gorge.
Alll I want is for Luigi to bond with yoshi, also I rlly want yoshi to at least speak a little( I know it sounds bad but it worked rlly well for teams right)?
I would love to see Yoshi going into Brooklyn and Mario and Luigi chasing him around Brooklyn trying to catch him.

If I were to write the sequel script, here would be the plot, and I wanna focus on the plot more: The movie starts with the Mario Brothers getting out of bed in a Mushroom house and put on their red and green caps and overalls. They zoom out of their Toadhouse and walk through the streets of Toad town together, they would wave to the toads as they go, perhaps the Lumalee could set up a store selling Mario merchandise, as they go on their walk to the castle, Peach rushes to them and tells them about a Yoshi egg hatching in the sewers of brooklyn, but the residents of brooklyn see this dinosaur as harmful, so the cops are hunting down this Yoshi after their discovery. Peach tells them to get him back to the world he belongs in before people capture him. The brothers immediately head back to the pipe they came in, but happens to bump into Toad, possibly even in the captain toad outfit and just had a great adventure, Luigi explains the situation to toad and toad gives them two 1 - up mushrooms and wish them good luck. They eat the mushrooms and gets in the pipe. Flashback to before they moved to the Mushroom Kingdom, they sold their plumbing business to Wario and Waluigi, who are greedy for money after they just moved from diamond city. Right now, Wario and Waluigi just got a job from the state to fix the sewers of brooklyn, they had heard about the yoshi egg and about how the first person to find it will get 10k, so they head into the sewers and their surprise, they see a fully grown yoshi, they were shocked and decided to follow him, the yoshi was wandering in the sewers, lost, and coincidentally walked to the green, mysterious pipe, which the mario bros suddenly pops out to get him, but yoshi flutter jumped away from Mario's arms and ran, Wario was confused to see their bosses in here, but he insisted to keep chasing the yoshi. However, Waluigi was too tempted to take a look at the suspicious pipe so he walks into the pipe and get sucked into it, Wario was worried about him, so he also jumped in. Cut to Mario and Luigi, the yoshi had finally escaped from the sewers and went out in a manhole, there can then be this awesome chase scene in the streets of brooklyn, the cops immediately chased after them, but yoshi was too fast, Mario takes a feather from his pocket and gets a cape from Super Mario World, he eventually gets yoshi and went back to the pipe, luigi followed. Meanwhile, Wario and Waluigi had landed in the dark lands in a terrible storm, they searched for shelter from the rain but meets an group of paratroopas, the paratroopas carries them to their clown cars to send them back to the castle, Wario and Walugi were scared. Then, they go back to Bowser's castle, whch is now under the reign of Kamek, trying to rescue his boss from the cage, Wario and Waluigi were brought to see him, which Kamek was shocked to see humans again. But he then thought that Wario and Waluigi can sneak get into the Mushroom Kingdom with their identities as humans, so he pays them a bunch of golden coins and explains the plan to them. Meanwhile, Mario and Luigi had successfully brought the yoshi back to the Mushroom Kingdom, The Mario Bros and Yoshi were friends now, as Yoshi knew that they were not harmful. So they bring the Yoshi to see Peach. Peach said that green yoshis were very rare, and that they would bring him back to Yoshi's Island the day after. So the very next day, the three head to Yoshi's Island on Peach's private jet, maybe Mario and Peach's relationship could expand more here. When they head to Yoshi's Island, they realised that the Yoshi didn't want to leave Mario and Luigi, so they decided to keep him. When they head back to the Mushroom Kingdom, two guards approached them and told them that Bowser had escaped, as they explained, they said that two humans came and said that they were the princess's friends, which the guards thought was reasonable as they are humans, but shortly after, Bowser's cage was unlocked and maybe Bowser is now in his normal size, coming for revenge. Peach thought that she needed a stronger weapon to fight against Bowser, so they headed to Sarasaland with Toad and Toadette (a female toad which recently moved in) as they volunteered. They went to Sarasaland and met with princess Daisy, Peach's close friend and explained to problem to her, and asked if she could get the Super Star from their kingdom. Daisy gives them their Super Star and insists to go with them to fight Bowser. We then learn that there were originally 5 super stars in the world, one in Ice Kingdom, one in Sarasaland, one in the Jungle Kingdom which Cranky Kong (The King) had perished to his dead wife Wrinkly, one on Yoshi's Island, guarded by the Yoshis, and one unknown. There are currently only 3 left. As they leave Sarasaland, they noticed a bunch of clown cars flying towards them and they all drop down and try killing the brothers, hammer bros, koopas, goombas, basically everything. Mario sees a fire flower on the ground and picks it up to throw fireballs on the enemies, and Luigi runs for his life, which he somehow ended up in a castle, which he then noticed a boom boom, he tried escaping, but it was no use as the door was locked, the boom boom starts attacking Luigi, but suddenly, Donkey Kong smashes through the walls and combats the boom boom, Mario, who has just escaped an intense chase had also arrived, and they team up to kill the boom boom. Peach, Toad and Daisy finally caught up with them, and DK greets the princess. They go back to the private jet to head back, Mario and DK were still rivals and are still arguing. Cut to Bowser, who was mad about his army dying, but then says that he has a backup plan and laughs. Wario and Waluigi suddenly pop up from the back of the jet and grabs toad, opens the door, and jumps onto a clown car. They then realised that they were hiding there the entire time, so the plane chases after the clown car to rescue the kidnapped toad. And they somehow landed in Bowser's castle, everyone was ready to battle, Mario hops on Yoshi, Luigi gets an ice flower, Peach goes to talk with Bowser to try and convince him not to destroy her kingdom, Toad gets a fire flower when Bowser wasn't aware of him, DK is in his smash pose. Bowser then tells the princess that her kingdom is guarded by his minions, and opens the door to let her see all the innocent toads being scared and the koopas everywhere, toad throws a fireball at bowser so he falls off the castle, then was Kamek. After they all fell down, they jumped down to the Mushroom Kingdom and an intense battle begins. Perhaps there could be this scene where Wario and Waluigi are betrayed by Bowser and Mario saves them and teams up. So then Bowser dies. I can see this being a 2.5 hour long movie.

For starters, for the scene where Mario walks around the Mushroom Kingdom greeting the residents, my two suggestion to improve this scene is to have him go to a dance floor and do a very specific thing you may know, with a certain music playing, I'm giving you three guess where I'm going with this. That's right, HE DOES THE MARIO with the outro of the Super Show playing in the background.
I played Wario Ware and I especially loved Get it Together. I played the heck out of that game with my family members
I was thinking of Wario being an antagonist for the next film too!!! Wario being some distant cousin of the mario bros and, with his lackey waluigi, manipulating bowser or maybe even the mario bros into letting him exploit and industrialise the mushroom kingdom under their noses, fuelling his greed. I was also thinking that perhaps the koopalings could be introduced, maybe as a travelling group of outcasts from yoshi's island looking for other dragon-turtles like themselves. Maybe then bowser could be reluctant toward showing them kindness, before wario suggests the idea of keeping them as guards, and, as they become better and better at fighting/fending off the mario bros, bowser gets more and more attached and protective of them and becomes their father figure. this would all culminate in a big finale where, upon realising that wario was only using him for his own personal gain, bowser is forced to team up with the mario bros, peach, and perhaps even yoshi and daisy (not sure how daisy would be introduced though) to stop wario from stealing his kingdom and his princess!!
That is a cool idea! Wario manipulating bowser, the koopalings being introduced and wario causing the industrialisation of the kingdoms sounds cool. It be kinda realistic with wario doing that and maybe they could link it to the environment and maybe even use Biggering from the Lorax

Ok real talk I like this idea for a sequel a lot. Wario in this story kind of feels like a dark reflection of Mario, and I really like waluigi’s character here.

I brought up my own ideas for Mario sequels in another video out there about this topic and I got it to five more movies along with a Donkey Kong Country spin-off…yeah I kinda went overboard and they’re definitely not the best ideas but eh, whatever.
The 2nd movie: The Luigi’s Mansion Movie, a role reversal of the first where Luigi pays Mario back for saving him from Bowser by saving Mario from King Boo with help from Yoshi as a nod to Mario Is Missing, doing more with Luigi’s bravery arc along with having things from the other two Luigi’s Mansion games even when this is primarily an adaption of the first like having Polterpup who can return in the other movies as Luigi’s pet, and E. Gadd maybe making Gooigi in the final act (and like Luigi in the final battle of the first movie, Mario would try to help in the final battle here, maybe by keeping the other Boos off Luigi’s back while he deals with King Boo).
The 3rd: The Super Mario World Movie, we finally get a full movie with the Bros as we go all in with the Yoshi species as Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, and Toad go to Yoshi’s Island where they face off with Wario and Waluigi.
The 4th: The Super Mario Sunshine Movie, the bros, Peach, and Toad go to Isle Delfino and meet Toadsworth there (who should’ve been in the first movie in the place of that blue Toad in the council, seriously Illumination, what the heck), who can be established as Peach’s father figure since she came to the Mushroom Kingdom and Peach, after a lot of convincing, was able to get Toadsworth to take a long break since he spent a long time practically being the Mushroom Kingdom’s leader on top of doing the most to raise Peach (so Isle Delfino is where Toadsworth has been), and we’re introduced to Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings, Bowser Jr., like the game, thinks Peach is his mother which I think would be very funny to see how these versions of the characters react to that, Mario is framed by Bowser Jr., meets F.L.U.D.D., Mario, Luigi, Peach, and F.L.U.D.D. beat Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings with Toad and Toadsworth making sure the civilians don’t get caught in the crossfire, but it’s revealed while that was going down, back at the Mushroom Kingdom, Kamek was able to break Bowser out and bring him back to normal size, now Bowser’s return becomes like a sword hanging over their heads, especially Mario and Luigi as Bowser feels he especially has a bone to pick with them.
The 5th: The Super Mario Odyssey Movie, another problem comes before Bowser makes his comeback when surprisingly there seems to be no trace of him as the villain from the Mario 2 game, Wart, tries to take over the world (not really sure if this is the best villain choice honestly) and so the four mains get Yoshi and Donkey Kong’s help again and go all over the world to stop him with Mario’s hat getting destroyed, and like the game, they meet Cappy as he becomes Mario’s hat and new ally, the other main new addition being when they go to Sarasaland and meet Daisy (probably giving a subplot for her and Luigi’s relationship, including Mario probably trying to act as a wingman for Luigi but failing at it, as well as that also giving Peach and Daisy a friendship).
The 6th: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, the reason Bowser was missing during the last was because he searched for the Grand Star and now has set his sights on the universe, all the main characters come together one last time (not sure about Cappy though, maybe he joins or maybe he went back to his normal life with Mario getting a new hat) along with Diddy Kong from Donkey Kong’s movie as they meet Rosalina and her Lumas (maybe giving some backstory for Lumalee and why he or she (I don’t know) is so depressing) to defeat Bowser, Bowser Jr., Kamek, the Koopalings, and their forces again.
I think Mario and Luigi should be the ones to find Yoshi in the sewers so it can be a nod to the TV show of Super Mario World where the first person Yoshi sees is Luigi and calls him his mama. A total nod to Mama Luigi

Edit: I have a idea that the sequel will actually show Mario trying to help out the community and I think I know a good way to do that by showing him as his multiple jobs whether as a doctor, a Carpenter, or he can just stick by his regular old plumber role this reference could definitely show that Mario truly is the jack of all cards

I would've expected that trading between Earth and the mushroom kingdom would happen. That tourists would visit each other's world.
I feel like the inclusion of both Wario and Waluigi would be fun and they could be introduced as rival plumbers of Brooklyn who were better and more successful than Mario and Luigi before the event of the first movie. They could be hired or persuaded with promises of riches by Bowser to fight fire with fire and the second movie would focus more on Luigi and Waluigi since I fealt as if Luigi didn't get much spot light. Waluigi would be someone Luigi looks up too and admire's for his confidence and try to learn and copy from him but he would also learn the cold-hearted nature of his greediness and the lack of love towards his own brother and Luigi would learn from Waluigi that love and compassion is not a weakness. And idk maybe Bowser can sing another song or something. (Wishful Thinking I Guess)
Maybe they might let Bowser out of his tiny cage for good if Bowser is able to aid on their mission. A pardon of sorts

Well finnthepony that could be something for Wario and Waluigi but I believe the next one will involve Bowser's son Bowser Jr and the Koopalings since Bowser is captured and Kamek for some reason disappeared about losing the Power Star. I believe after his capture Kamek went to go look for Bowser Jr telling him the bad news which will lead to his plans for rescuing his dad and getting revenge on the Mario Brothers so he calls in The Koopalings to come up with a plan TWO plans that is one for rescuing Bowser and the other to lure the Mario Bros into a trap. Anyways I've come up with a list of who would definitely voice these characters for The Super Mario Bros Movie 2 and here's a list of voice actors who should definitely voice Bowser Jr and The Koopalings.

I've said this in multiple different places now, but All I really want from Mario (apart from a bit more story in the games) is more good bad guys. what I mean by that are characters like what we see in the first 2 Paper Mario games. koopas, goombas, Boos, etc that are just kinda chill.

I think I’d pick Weird Al as Waluigi’s voice as he has experience voice acting wacky characters and can do a wacky sounding voice.
I do like what you have so far for this sequel, but if I could make one critique, I think that there is too much of an emphasis on Wario and Waluigi, to the point where it feels like its _their movie_ not Mario's movie. I also think Bowser could still be in the film to a lesser extent, maybe as a surprise appearance near the end of the movie like Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
But I completely agree on wario being played by Adam Sandler 😃

I would love to see Wario and Waluigi as the new villains, not just as cameos. Both will be voiced by Charles Martinet, it would be awesome! I can imagine them freeing Bowser from his cage then working with him in exchange for money. They can destroy the brothers, Toad, Peach and Donkey kong for him then he'll be the most powerful villain if every heroes is dead. Sounds cool to me 😀

Can I suggest an alternate/better Movie!Wario voice? I believe Curtis Armstrong would be perfect in the role, especially if you know him from the cult classic that is Dan Vs. Also I could've sworn the thing about Wario and Waluigi's moralities was the other way around, Wario being occasionally nice (there's a reason the WarioWare crew stick around him) and Waluigi being a prick through-and-through. Also also, Kazumi Totaka reprising his role as Yoshi or bust.
