RIP William Dunlop # 6 . GBNF ! The Dunlop family have given so much to this sport ! Rip Joey , RIp Robert ! Road Racing Royalty ! 🏍️😎 Lost Joey in 2000 his brother Robert in 2008 and Robert’s son William in 2018 . Michael is still racing with 29 TT wins this year taking the title from his uncle Joey , the king of the mountain ! Stay safe , keep her lit the Bull #6
The guy who flipped and slid along the road is New Zealander Bruce Anstey, the race was red flagged and restarted........And Bruce was on the grid on one of his spare bikes! Unfortunately Bruce has been out of action for the last few years, battling the big C.
I have absolutely no shame as a guy to say......this scares the hell out of me. And yes, many have died unfortunately....over 200 on that track if you include the Manx Grand Prix.....156 just TT. Worst year 2005 with 10 deaths
The wheelies are not intentional but are torque wheelies, the power of the engine under hard acceleration will generally cause the front to lift over bumps and especially over steep crests like the deers leap. If they ease of the throttle to drop the front or dab the rear brake to stop the wheelie they loose speed so they keep it pinned and let the wheelie ride itself out.
Ulster GP used to be fastest road race in the world, but sadly was overturned by a racer on the isle of man. I live 10 minutes away, and drive those roads,it is frightening even in my 2006 Saab doing 90 lol... 🎉🎉🎉
Insanity. I once hit 178mph on a long, straight, flat bit of dual carriageway in my youth....... i decided not to repeat it ever again after my cheeks finally unpuckered 😳
This is not the TT. The TT is a time trial where tye winner is who completes all the laps in the quickest time so a race against the clock. The Ulster Grand Prix is a traditional 1st across the line is the winner. Also if in the UK we didn't race in the rain we would barley have any racing.
Sad that the only threat to these racers that they have no choice over is the insurance company scumbags that can shut down an entire race season because they might have to give some money back🏍️💨💨💨🤬

This is Irish Road Racing ! Not the Isle of Mann !

There is a european biker proverb
Dont mind the 150 horses under you but the donkey that sits on top of it

At this level of danger, it is no longer a race but a road that leads to death ☠️ These pilots are virtuosos with a big heart 😬👍
