  • In this video I wanted to go into the relatable world of Johnny Depp who is a said to be INFP personality type. His eccentric characters and elusive behavior are hard for many to wrap their heads around which is an awesome example of Johnny just being true to himself as an individual...

      Lol. Yeah that is one INFP stereotype that I’m not tied to. The military pretty much altered that, and basically if I’m “right on time” I have anxiety leading up to getting there. I’m super reliable on getting somewhere when I say I’m going to usually 15min early.

      INFP HD I see, the military taught you well😮 if I am truly passionate about the thing I’m turning up for e.g. first day at university, or I’m going to the premier of my fav film etc etc I’m bang on time but as soon as I don’t have that passion I become super unorganised, with my entire perception of time lol. I end up taking like an hour choosing what outfit to wear...like an hour to me will feel like 30 mins

    Consider what happened to him recently. No one supported him for ages. He himself is the underdog.

    • @INFPHD
      @INFPHD  4 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      Yeah that’s why I vibe with the whole underdog thing. I love when the little guy wins and heavily drawn to movies of that nature! That’s generally how it goes though especially with people who have a vision for themselves and then put it into action where people can’t see it so they start passing judgement with little to know support. The level of criticism that he is on I couldn’t imagine the mental processing he has to overcome with it all...

    • @INFPHD
      @INFPHD  4 ปีที่แล้ว +37

      Yeah totally agree. The creative, authentic, sensitive, vulnerable man is just not treasured / leveraged as much as I feel it should be. It does seem that there are small glimmers of hope that shine a more positive light going into the future outside of just to be a “proper man” you need to suppress ALL emotions and partake in alligator wrestling... As INFP males it’s definitely not a preferred society for us to fit in great “with the boys”, but if we sacrifice who we really are for what society tells us we “should do” then we will deteriorate into an unhealthy individual state. Just soooo important for us to be true to ourselves and all the good inside!

      There will a time when movies and shows will portray men not as cool or masculine, but as warm humans. People will prefer a man who doesn't hesitate to make mistakes and learn from them, aren't averse to thinking deeply, and are fascinatingly curious than to be dominant.

      Yeah Henri I think that people get a bit side tracked with how they may think that so and so entertainer etc must be some extroverted person because of their job. INFPs as well as “ANY” other type can literally do whatever. I like doing these kinds of videos because I feel I get a really good look into how these people really are (besides personally knowing them of course) opposed to what people judge them as based on the role they are playing on a stage.
      Him being an underdog, hiding in the shadows, being shy, etc etc - yep, he is those things, but you can also put those things aside from time to time to create memorable creations whatever that may be...

      @@INFPHD I actually found it quite challenging for an INFP to be an actress. They say it's a good job for us, but that isn't taking into consideration the media attention that comes with it. I used to lóve playing, for the process, for the Magic that occurs when a group of people decide to create an alternative universe together with all they have, it's an amazing experience. And everybody has their little part in creating that scene. I would have lóved to be able to play, watch what we end up with with just some friends and family and then just throw it away, but hardly anyone understood what I meant. To me it makes all the sense in the world. The fun is in the creative process, not in having all these people you don't know watching it and giving their opinion and suddenly want to know who you're dating. Thát is what makes no sense to mé 🤷‍♀️ Still haven't figured that dilemma out yet though 🙈

    • @INFPHD
      @INFPHD  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oh yeah 100% I see being a celebrity INFP as a non-ideal situation for sure. To be on the judgement scale around all factors of life that someone like Depp is, is an extreme stressor that people like us can’t even fathom. It’s hard for me to take small random criticism at times on the things I put a lot of weird passion into let alone a celebrity where it’s on a global scale.
      I’ve always been that way in my work life where people want to shine a light on some creative project I’ve done, but I just want it to flow out into the atmosphere with no stage recognition needed. That’s how you can really get under my skin is if I said keep it all quiet and someone disrespects that request (with good intentions in mind) with a surprise spotlight shining in front of a bunch of people...no bueno.
      So yeah, I just enjoy providing examples of like minded people who are in different spotlights as a form of encouragement. Not to recommend people to be actors necessarily, but that they can do anything if they really want to. However, understanding though that if it’s something outside of our comfort zone there will most likely be a stress trade off of some sort. *I have my own in using this platform for instance...

    istg i’ve never felt so related to anyone else as im feeling right now with Johnny. I’m ashamed i didn’t pay attention before to all of his works, but even now i can see why did he pick them; they have a strong connection with who he really is and show a different facet of himself. All of his roles are a different side of him, and thats why i think it comes too easily for him to play them.
    As an INFP i found myself changing my “personality” in order of what believe that in that moment represents me. At the end of the day I am still myself, but it is interesting to see how everything I like, each fictional character that catches my attention, each story in which I am immersed, my favorite songs, everything has something in which I can see myself reflected. I see this same case with Johnny and all his acting roles.
    The way he expresses himself about how the creative process is his thing; I can tell that's exactly me. You can tell that his interest is first in creating something that reflects who he is, no matter in which of his facets. Also how he expresses himself through other characters, situations and settings; nothing direct but if you can read between the lines, you will understand what he wants to get to with just metaphors, but that each one keeps its meaning and value. I really have so many things to say about his way of being, I'm happy to know that there are people like me out there!
    also sorry for my english, is not my first language

  • @KxNOxUTA

    I constantly fall in love with characters but I rarely get interested with actors. Now he is one of those people who got my interest. Ofcourse we don't know ultimately what type he is, but he sure gives out the INFP vibe.
    The thing is that my interest has not gone a way where I'd be a fan and look up his life and interviews and all. But there was instantly that sense of connection and understanding. As well as this unbearable pain. Pain over connecting to his compatibility struggles and a big fat sadness over learning he's struggling with alcoholism and all. That feeling of how a person this precious never should have ended up to need to numb themselves. It's - in a sense - a "unicorn" feeling. Knowing that the purity and integrity and creativity that person carries never should have gotten tainted by outside intentions. That all it had needed was to maintain a space. By whomever was around him.
    I felt he's surely hard to handle in a sense (aren't we INFPs all?) and yet I can't help but feel "Why? It would've taken so little? Why? Why had he felt like there's no other way out? What have we (as public, as society) done?!" 😔
    Every time I see his face I just want to run over there and ask him if he wants to just rest himself in a safe hug for a while. A hug of no other intention than providing a safe space for a tender heart.
    I know there are these issues with charges against him and I'm the last person to think it's not a realistic possibility. I wouldn't disregard a victim. I don't disregard the circumstances of an offender either, though. I don't need to justify even though I'm capable of gasping explanations as to why things tuned out a way ot another. And I believe the best solution in any conflict is when both sides manage to move on for real. To graduate.
    I sure wish him well. I'd love to see him find peace someday. Whatever taht means for him.

Would have been nice without all the unfortunate deaths etc, but yeah I do think extroverts will have some positive experiences with being forced to go internal for awhile. And like you said, we have been “living” day to day in their preferred world getting tagged as the weirdos etc so I’m honestly not to sympathetic to their struggles having to stay inside. It’s not going to last forever, and we are going to head right back to a more slanted extrovert society regardless of people saying everything is going to stay similar with drastic changes occurring.

      Thank you so much and pleasure to meet you 🤙🏻. I truly appreciate when a comment coincides with what my actual intentions were for the videos opposed to “that person isn’t INFP” etc. They do take awhile to find all the clips that I relate with as well as want to “speak through” essentially. Prior to making TH-cam content I always liked the celebrity MBTI type sites whereas they did help get my brain out of the shadows and provide a bit of hope to where “if they can do it so can we”. I’m going to take on Princess Diana for the next individual person video, but I’ve been sitting on that thought for like a year wanting to do her justice. The journey through all their clips away from the fancy movie roles really provides that “just a normal human being” picture that most people don’t want to paint them as...instead “special people” - uh no, just a person willing to sacrifice a bit more criticism, hard work etc.
      Hope all is well!

    Young Johnny was such a passionate guy, his understanding of embodying characters is almost second to none, look at how he breaks down the lone ranger character- unique- he is so authentic and sincere with is opinions and perceptions of things, never knew he could speak so eloquently. But sadly In is more recent interviews and discussions, this intelligent, deep, and thoughtful aspect of doesn't come out anymore. He is such a gifted actor, one of the only actors that seem so similar to him, I think even down to speech style and pattern is heath ledger. Imagine this guy playing the next joker, it may seem odd because of the type of characters he may have played in his acting career may be quite different from the joker, well if he can pull it off or not-we can't know. This is just an opinion.

      ..And I appreciate your comment! Yeah he definitely had a different vibe to him in the younger years, but the extent of his “fame” that he had endured for so long I feel would make any INFP type person a little off towards the end. The world stage criticism towards your passionate craft, your private / sacred life plastered all over the news, speeches, interviews, etc etc etc. Obviously it’s a choice he made for himself and he is also very wealthy, but the trade off stress sacrifices he has had to do for achieving that fame can be actually worse for a type like us who wants to stay more of the time back in the shadows...
      Yeah Heath is also said to be an INFP where I certainly plan to make him his very own video at some point.

      Him changing a bit might have something to do with the physical abuse Amber heard did to him. Trauma changes you. He might not feel comfortable to be as passionate as he used to be for a couple of years cuz of what he went through.

      Lizzie oh yeah he is on the list. I have him in one of my famous people videos at the end, but yeah I plan to take many of those people and make individual videos like this. They are just extremely time consuming so I have to do simpler edits in between but yeah I’ll get him for sure. Looking at Princess Diana next I think...

      Yeah I actually started thinking about her video before this one and the Kid Cudi video. I went through a 2 hour documentary (“Diana in her own words” - really good!) already and time stamped like 30 relatable clips out of it and need to go down interviews, pics, etc. With her I really want to give it an extra touch because the more I watch stuff on her I want to bring it all to light with how she was and what she went through the best I can.
