--- CONGRATULATIONS... Beautiful video with beautiful appropriate music. I now live in San Carlos City with my Filipina wife who is expecting our first baby in December 2016... white and Filipino... a great formula mixture for a beautiful baby :)
I'll be joining you soon. My wife is from Bangaray Katiclan and we have a 4yr old boy already. How do you find living in San Carlos City ? if I may ask?
Cyprian Themba Nkabinde - Of course you can ask. -I find it OK.... very nice at times and not so nice at other times. The heat is so bad but I can survive. Water cuts = terrible, not able to flush the toilet or take a shower... but I am happy here and I love my wife very much. My biggest problem is really cultural... I am expected to support financially her family and I cannot do that because I am not rich. That has caused big problems in our relationship but I cannot support a family of 9 adults and 10 children. Her brothers and sisters are young and their ages range from 20 years old to 29 years old. Most of them do not work and do not want to work... but they buy dozens of brandy bottles all the time... and they all smoke. They have money to smoke and to drink and I have to pay their bills ?. I paid their electricity bill every month and their water bill too for more than 2 years. I HAD TO STOP THAT because soon I will have the responsibility of a baby. This is my big problem and it is a pity because her family is destroying our marriage. How can I support a family of 9 adults and 10 children ????? -Give me your opinion on this please. I am curious. I paid their electricity and water bills for MORE THAN TWO YEARS, every month without fail. I cannot do it anymore.supported
Your story is deeply saddening. Take your wife and move as far away as you can. Go to Cebu, Palawan or Manila. Just get away from these leeches. Find a place where it wouldn't be easy for them to rich you (specially when they're always broke). Explain this to your wife. She should understand (if she loves you). All the best!
Thank you very much. In fact the problem has already eased. I put my foot down and I said that I was their ATM. They already understand. I just don't understand it. It is Filipino culture toexpect the poor foreigner to support a family of 19 people ? Please tell me.. I already do not talk with 90% of the family because of this and may have to cut with all of them.
Although I'm somewhat facing the same predicament as you are, it's hard for me to come to a quick conclusion about Filipino culture. All I know is that poverty can lead to all sort of undesired behavioural tendencies. This is not the first case I've ever heard. You probably took a good decision by not talking to 90% of the family. The problem with that is that it lives a bitter taste in your psyche because you see these people everyday and you're not sure of what they're thinking or plotting against you. Getting far away will ease up a lot of stress and bitterness in your mind. Get away to avoid dirty looks and other attitudes. Start planning a move right now and execute it once and for all. That's how you'll get a peace of mind and raise your kid properly.
