I gave 3 ducks to a friend here in France, I expected him to come in a car. But he arrived on a bike with a small shopping basket. He put the 3 ducks in the basket and covered them with a tea towel. He then fixed the basket to his rear rack. As he road off all three heads popped up looking around. Of course I did not have my camera with me. It was a bizarre sight. Thanks for the vlog, happy new year.

Sigrid is my new crush! That was the cutest ever. And your giggling was the icing on the cake. I could tell you were having a glorious time. The goggles were very surprising. Sigrid didn’t flinch! Oh, what a joy to watch this video! I'm a big fan of Sigrid, and a big of you! Totally get your excitement to travel to London to go for a ride with a cat, it's the dream! And unfortunately I feel your pain about our trains, they really make it as difficult as they can for us to take a bike on a train!

That was a great idea for a video, just because you were having fun does not mean you are not working. My cats would not be amused, but then they are too busy for bike riding. Looks like the cat had a tiring day taking the humans out for a bike right...best Christmas for sure.
This is amazing. We just started getting our cat used to a harness last week. My plan is to turn her into an "adventure cat" and let her ride in a basket just like that. Funny how timing works out!

That’s a good excuse to come to Canada for a ride with Maya and I. her and her sidecar are a lot heavier than fluffy cats, but she’s my motivation to get out and ride when we can. Those guys have a hoot touring around town

My bmx is really past it, it was good in it’s day but it’s all rusty and the headset is seized!
At least you have some sort of cycling shoe. I remember a few years ago I showed up for a group ride with my road bike and discovered once I got there that I had totally forgot to bring cycling shoes all together. Then a few years later I took my bike and kit in a car and drove to a remote park to go for a ride and once again discovered that I had grabbed one white cycling shoe and one regular white trainer shoe in the dark as I was leaving the house.
I once turned up to a ride with one of my shoes and one of my ex’s. Luckily it was a left and a right so I put a big ski sock on under the big shoe and just rode like that!

This is why I just have one pedal standard across all my bikes lol, SPD on my road/ gravel and shoe(s) all spd so no fafing about with pedals 😁😁

Not strapped, no. There’s a small leash attached to her collar just in case she jumped out to chase a squirrel but she is just sitting there happily.

I have never tried, but our 8 cats are too busy hunting and sleeping for this adventure. I figure they would jump out part way to wherever you were going.

The UK especially England was a world leader in train travel. It was affordable for the masses and on time. What happened to the affordable and on time part of it?
My cat will never agree to a ride on my bike ever.
Travelling with a bike in The Netherlands isn't that different. Although the cycling structure is fantastic, trains are the same. Just a few places for bikes, you have to get a ticket for your bike and just get lucky to find an empty spot. And do this all outside of rush hour: between 9.00 and 16.00 of after 18.30. Poor performance for a country with that many bikes.
Sometimes I wonder whether cats are actually domesticated, but then I imagine they wonder the same about us.
