Nice catch! That’s the first time I’ve ever really noticed the steady red light before. Is that just tradition or is there more to it? Seems like Cali is the only state that requires it.

Cali state law - all emergency vehicles are required to have a steady burning red visible on the front (vehicle code section 25252)
