- Everton could not get the victory their display deserved at Leicester - but they got off the mark for the first time this season with an encouraging 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium.
Iliman Ndiaye further cemented his status as an early fans’ favourite with a 12th-minute opener, playing a neat one-two with Ashley Young before hitting a sweet finish off the left-hand post.
Not for the first time this term, the Blues could - and should - have scored more as their attacking play caught the eye.
And for the fourth game in a row, they conceded a lead when Stephy Mavdidi bundled home from a corner with 17 minutes remaining.

@@Jehu37 reality check here. The last 3 or 4 seasons we've finished in the bottom 5. We aren't a good side. Form and finishing places in the league shows you that. Last time we were any good was moyes and martinez and 1 season under koeman. How many years ago was that. A lot of work needs to be done at our club on and off the pitch to get us back to the top half of the league so for now drawing and losing is more of an Everton thing that winning

Everton played some very good football possession wise with movement and crisp passing. That lasted the first 60-75 minutes. But we must also start to put the "hard yards" in the last 15-10 minutes of our matches.
Ndiaye was again our creative driving force and capped his fine performance with a superb goal. In our forthcoming matches keep him on the pitch for the 90 minutes.
It's very disappointing we have been lately so vulnerable defending corners and set-pieces. Make sure to correct that: either of our centrebacks must attack the ball first!!!!
Really hope this is the beginning for Everton to climb up the table, even if slowly, still seadily!
