I’m not saying you misspoke. You didn’t. It just needs clarity. I studied Greek for a year and I can tell you that ego is one of those Greek words that means one thing: “I” or “the self”. For example, “ego, Johannes” means “I, John.” The negative connotation comes from the word “egocentric” or “egotistical”. When your world revolves around “I” then things get shady. The neo-spiritual concept of “ego” isn’t even the Vedic (or other Hindu) concept. It’s more like the punk rock 80’s suggesting that you should “kill your television”. To “kill your ego” is abysmally dismissive. Your ego is your Earth identity. You can’t assassinate your Earth identity and expect God to be happy about it when you return Home. Just avoid promoting your ego at the expense of others and you’ll be fine.
