Brett King Design - Custom Helmet Painter

A mini documentary over Brett King of Orange County California. His company Brett King Design in an up and coming helmet painting shop that is receiving a lot of attention as of late. His new flavor of designs and his unique style have brought big names to the company such as Josef Newgarden, 2012 Indy Car rookie, Joey Hand, DTM BMW driver, and a plethora of top caliber kart drivers from all over the country.

Thanks... We use House of Kolor paints. We don't paint polycarbonate helmets so this isn't an issue. All motorsport helmets are fiberglass / carbon / kevlar lay-ups.

Brett, great paint job and a great video, but what paint type do use? I've painted fibreglass helmets in the past but most helmets are now polycarbonate or similar and most solvent based paints really screw the integrity of the helmet. So do you use water based paints, spray over a 'safe' undercoat, or only spray on fibreglass?
