Aswali dam near Bordi

Aswali dam is among many other attractions in Bordi. It is a picnic spot near Bordi in Palghar dist. The Dam is accessible to public, which is a nice picnic spot to spend a day with family and friends. Across the other end a good 30 min walk over the mountains leads to the Bahrot caves, where you can get the ariel views of the reservoir. A good time to visit this place would be June - October. You can stay in Bordi or Dahanu for a night or 2. There are many good resorts at both the places. This dam is around 20 kms from Bordi. Also there are beaches in Bordi, Dahanu and Chinchni which is 30 kms from Dahanu and it's a good beach. Resorts have their restaurants and nonveg is available. It's safe place. But to move around you need your own vehicle.
