No problem, crosshair size is on resolution so sometimes it's really hard to tell if it's large or medium :p

Wow, that's weird. Even the worst PC shouldn't just shut down, hmm.
About my PC:
Gigabyte HD7970 (1100/1500), i5 2500k (4,3GHz), 8GB RAM
It's quite powerful, but you don't really need that much for 1.6. You should be able to record even with very old PC (5-6 years old). I actually started recording with PC from mid 2008 and it did the job very well.
