    • @RebeccaLloyd
      @RebeccaLloyd 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The point being made by Liberty Doctrine is that Margaret Sanger was a eugenicist - like a Nazi. She wanted to abort as many black babies as possible and Planned Parenthood was created to prevent the reproduction of these people (and poor people of any color) who she considered to have undesirable traits. That is why Sanger appealed to the KKK.

    • @RebeccaLloyd
      @RebeccaLloyd 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Those numbers are shocking - and despairing. We must stop this genocide! Ben Carson very wisely said "In 1992, I personally was against abortion, but I was not for causing anybody else to do anything. I changed because I began to think about, if abolitionists a long time ago had said, "I don't believe in slavery, but anybody else can do it if they want to," where would we be today?"

    • @Inkan1969
      @Inkan1969 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Except that Planned Parenthood has no "eugenics" objective.
      In fact, it's the anti-abortion movement that currently has eugenicist motives. A lot of anti-abortionists think that white women are not having enough babies, so they want to ban abortion to force white women to spit out more white babies.

    • @Inkan1969
      @Inkan1969 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're using post hoc reasoning. You're completely ignoring issues such as economics and access to birth control and sex education that could affect abortion rates. Anti-abortionists are liars in that they don't care at all about fixing social issues that would actually reduce abortion rates; they instead want to enslave the country in their religious dogma just as much as al-Qaeda and ISIS does.

    • @Inkan1969
      @Inkan1969 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Planned Parenthood is very much about women's health. The anti-abortion movement is not about life; it's about religious fanaticism and religious terrorism. The anti-abortion movement is the same as al-Qaeda, the Taliban and ISIS. Planned Parenthood workers are American Heroes: They are protecting Americans' health and American rights from a religious terrorist threat, the same thing our troops do in Afghanistan.

      Religious fanaticism? Since when does caring about the lives of unborn children have anything to do with religion? It's an issue of morality--you don't need to be religious to care. The fact that you actually think anti-abortionists are comparable to the murderous, misogynist homophobes of ISIS shows just how clueless you are.

      Religion is entirely the motivation of anti-abortionists. Religious fanaticism is what they use to justify assassinating doctors and bombing clinics, just like other terrorists. And anti-abortionist dogma is indeed comparable to the misogynist dogma of ISIS (and you'll find lots of homophobes in the anti-abortion movement. You think Pat Robertson supports gay rights?).

    In 1926, Sanger spoke at a Ku Klux Klan rally in 1926 in Silver Lake, New Jersey. Following the invitation, Sanger describes her elation after receiving multiple speaking requests from white supremacy groups. She writes of the experience on page 366 of her book, An Autobiography:
    I accepted an invitation to talk to the women’s branch of the Ku Klux Klan … I saw through the door dim figures parading with banners and illuminated crosses … I was escorted to the platform, was introduced, and began to speak … In the end, through simple illustrations I believed I had accomplished my purpose. A dozen invitations to speak to similar groups were proffered.
    Sanger famously coined the term “birth control” with the intention of eliminating the reproduction of human beings who were considered “less fit.” In her writings from “Morality and Birth Control” and “Birth Control and the New Race,” the Planned Parenthood founder noted that the chief aim of the practice of birth control is to produce a “cleaner race.” Sanger’s vision for birth control was to prevent the birth of individuals whom she believed were unfit for mankind:
    Knowledge of birth control is essentially moral. Its general, though prudent, practice must lead to a higher individuality and ultimately to a cleaner race.
    Birth control is nothing more or less than the facilitation of the process of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defectives or of those who will become defective.

    I'm a woman, a business owner, married for almost 10 years and childless by choice. I never needed Planned Parenthood to have control over my body, and if one day my husband and I had an unplanned pregnancy, I would never consider exterminating the innocent life of my unborn child as a viable option.
    Women have drug stores, doctors and pregnancy clinics where they can easily obtain birth control or anything PP has to offer, exception abortion.
    Killing innocent human beings should not make women feel empowered. It should make us enraged.
    I am a proud American citizen but I am embarrassed that my country still allows this barbarous, bloody and horrific practice to continue. I sincerely hope that the new administration will move to overturn Roe vs. Wade and save the lives of millions of innocent children.
    Killing innocent children should be unthinkable, not funded and promoted by our tax dollars.

    • @Inkan1969
      @Inkan1969 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You have every right to keep your pregnancy: pro-choice means that everything should be done so that you never feel pressured to abort.
      Just because you never needed Planned Parenthood doesn't mean that no one ever needed Planned Parenthood. And you sound absurd talking about the availability of drug stores and pregnancy clinics that provide birth control when it is a goal of the anti-abortion movement to destroy all of them.
      And you're passing on a lie that abortion is funded by tax dollars.

    I read the comments here and immediately started my monthly donation to Planned Parenthood. Countries that give the most assistance to women before AND after birth are the ones I admire most. Until the US offers total reproductive healthcare, childcare and educational assistance to all people and families, PP is doing the best they can to educate our nation about family planning and sexual health and I support them.

      Too bad the US is the best country to be a woman in. See if the middle East shares your opinion of women's rights.

      I notice Humanist zealots put titles and stigma on people verses facts. Science clearly teaches life starts at conception. The formation of the DNA takes place. The gnome is "you". Humanists are simply Marxists. Your ideology has destroyed our society and education system.

    I think you need to take the word "reproductive" OUT OF the phrase REPRODUCTIVE health care.

      It is not beautiful - it is shocking and ugly. It is against Nature for mothers to kill their young. Planned Parenthood is not about women's health, it's about eugenics - the weeding out of 'undesirables' in society. Since 2012 Planned Parenthood has been pushing to legalise after-birth abortion. I quote; “We propose to call this practice ‘after-birth abortion,’ rather than ‘infanticide,’ to emphasise that the moral status of the individual killed is comparable with that of a fetus (on which ‘abortions’ in the traditional sense are performed) rather than to that of a child.” This is not beautiful.

    • @Inkan1969

      It is beautifuil. It's the anti-abortion movement that's shocking, ugly and against Nature. Everything is subverted by their religious terrorist dogma. That's what the anti-abortion movement is really about, not life.

      How is killing your own children because you weren't smart enough to use a condom beautiful?

    • @Inkan1969
      @Inkan1969 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Defying a religious terrorist movement trying to trap you in their dogma is brave and beautiful. Why are you on the terrorists' side instead?
      And what's this self-righteous BS about "you weren't smart enough to use a condom"? What have you done to promote sex education? I never even heard the word "condom" until I was 13; that was already some years after puberty. Real pro-life would be promoting sex education and birth control, so that unwanted pregnancies wouldn't happen to begin with. But the anti-abortion movement is not about real pro-life. It's about carrying out a crusade, a Christian jihad, to turn this country into a Christian dictatorship.

    Yes, she was a racist. That doesn't make birth control or abortion racist.
