I love love love Khalil Fong. I love his rawness, I love his songwriting style, I love how he performs that makes the songs so believable (if you read into the lyrics). it's like his whole persona is like a shy, introvert guy that secretly writes extremely romantic songs for the love of his life, even if the love of his life is never going to hear these songs --- that's how he makes me feel when he performs. So no, I don't want "perfect", I want the realness. I've been to 4 of his concerts, every time I enjoyed so much, even tho there's no fancy "production" so to speak, just him singing from his heart.

I denfintely prefer a live!!! even there are some little pitch loss. It make me feel real and a human making music. it also can show the singer singing style and true ability!!
I think what Rozette mentioned about the end note being short is the way Khalil trying to put the emotion of the story in it, like telling its story with the tone, and I enjoy live performance with some imperfect bit rather than like hearing a cd in live😂
I like his vowel swap lol (Eye instead of 爱)...I thought maybe he couldn't sing '爱" correctly, but it wouldn't make sense since he speaks perfect Mandarin. now I understand it's because the English 'I' sound is just easier to sing and do riffs and runs hahaha plus it's hardly noticeable.
Btw, you should try to listen to Wagakki Band. The vocalist using Shigin art vocal style to perform. It could be something new or different for you. Their most popular song is Senbonzakura, cover of Vocaloid song. But their other songs are great too.

Sometimes when you want them to sing *perfectly*, they will lose their uniqueness. its the uniqueness that will make someone famous because it leaves an impression. khalil is one of them. See jj lin, jay chou even mj, gem all of them have unique voice that you can recognise the moment they sing the first word. some singers have great vocals, technique but nv famous. because they don't have uniqueness.

老師厲害的不只準確點出方大同的兩個音樂偶像，還看出他的人格，低調、不吹噓、不浮誇，也是他的魅力所在。
