I have had a few audio recorders over the years and the Tascam with the 32bit float is the key. I have now added a Lewitt LCT-140-AIR Stereo Matched Pair microphone set that really gives the depth you hear.
Thanks for the nice comment, I do try to make the videos have a different feel than just sitting at a crossing. If you can watch them on a tv in surround sound as I have a professional audio rig recording the trains also.
I usually am on the sunward side but this day we were there to view the eclipse and had a nice place to setup with facilities to use across the street as we were there for nine hours that day. Thanks for watching.
All the guys that are fussing about this must not like police...if it was one of their kids and they got injured or killed doing this they would fuss that the train crew didn't check to see that they were riding and sue the railroad...damned if you do and damned if you don't...just button it and watch the video...
I love the quality of the sound! Naturally the drone video footage is terrific. I have a Zoom H4N portable recorder. I'll have to look at that Tascam.

Great work with the drone. Listening through headphones is wonderful.
Really glad you liked the audio as I have spent a lot of time getting that right over the years. Thanks for watching!
Hobostobe was pulled off very near that same location, maybe a little farther south. He was taken to Louisville and released after posting bail.
I am always amazed at how many guys are posting themselves riding on the trains.
@@raildogproductions Definitely, seems there’s always another new rider on YT.
Its interesting that the railroads don't have YT take them down.
Nice video. Drone footage was outstanding. 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Thanks for watching! Love filming the surroundings as the train passes by to see it from a new perspective.
Rider Posted $ 250.00 Bail and was on the Next Train Out. Safe Travels. 🤪👎
Uh uh
😂😂😂❤
Very nicely done video. I'm looking forward to more of your videos. Thanks.

Nicely done!
Thanks for watching, It was a great spring day to railfan!
Was it the guy who has a youtube channel of him riding trains?
Wouldn't that be funny. There certainly many guys out there doing that.
Great video, beautiful photography. However, If at all possible, you should be on the sunward side of the train, instead of in the shadows.

When you have time to do this there are simply too many cops employed with nothing to do
Exactly. Also, love how the train crew decided to conveniently stop to block not 1, but 3 crossings. What a bunch of crap.
They're paid to catch bums like this who are "riding trains."

well its not shoestring
DUDE…..cold dude,just cold.
I wonder 🤔 how many thousands of dollars this Cost the Railroad and Shareholders in Lost Productivity. Ridiculous Waste of Time/Effort. 🤪👎
Probably not much and tell ya friend stay the hell off the train maybe this won't happen
Is picking up speed
looks like alot of effort just for some guy ridding a train.
The bum should not be riding the train in the first place. Removing the bum and securing the train is what they are suppose to do!😅
Who cares? Crew trying to get overtime.
