thankyou, i used to live in Burra, just up the road from clare, the movie starring jack thomspon , bryan brown and edward woodward, BREAKER MORANT was filmed there
@@Outlanders2023 THANKYOU FOR THE REPLY it was filmed in both burra and some studios in adelaide and i think in pinewood studios located in england. if you havent completed yr burra filming yet, i recommend that you visit the "Redruth gaol" on the outside of burra, it was here many breaker morant scenes were filmed, the building is very historical ( it was also a former "insane asylum" ) i also suggest you do some filming at the old mine and also the dugouts where some miners used to live. i just checked on wikipedia, it seems that now redruth gaol is a museum and also there is NO mention of it ever being used to house those with mental health problems ( though when i did a tour there that is what the tour guide )who was also my school bus driver) told us)
@@homebrandrules Ah that's pretty cool :). Thank you for the tips. We have already been to Burra but we did go to those sites. We did the Burra Passport heritage trail which was really cool. We didn't get to see everything as we only had the day but we did get to see the Gaol and the dugouts and mine and the police lock up. It's a really nice town. Would be nice to be able to go back and get some more videos sometime. It mentioned at the Gaol that it was later used as a girl's reformatory.

Was filmed in Clare or in Burra? That's pretty cool. We'll have an episode in a few weeks on Burra too
