It seems that ASMR has forked into 2 main types of creators now. Type 1 is "innocent" ASMR which are creators like Amy and Jen (VisualSounds1) who do a wide variety of roleplays and trigger vids while generally sticking to more "conservative" outfits and avoiding anything too risqué. Type 2 are more "ASMR fetish" creators who tend to wear more revealing outfits and stick more to romantic/personal attention/"obsessed" type vids. Not shaming Type 2 creators, they found what works for them and they still put tons of effort into their content. But they definitely tend to get more subscribers faster. There are definitely some channels like Gibi that hit 1 mil+ while staying Type 1, but seems to me that Type 2 are the ones that hit that milestone more these days.
