When they mentioned living only as long as their grandparents or whatever it hit me. My dad keeps telling me every guy on his side of his family dies in their early 60s the oldest being 63. My dad was over weight when I was younger but when he realized where his life was going he was determined to live longer than any guy in my family and see his grandkids. He started working out and going on a strong diet. He made alot of great progress and after a doctor check up we found out he had prostate cancer. Its been a year later and he is cured of the cancer and just now getting back on the diet and exercises going strong. If he never started this journey we would not have caught the cancer as soon as we did.
@Future Pants No my dad owns his own audio company I have no idea what the cause was for the cancer. Nor did he live on a farm when was younger. Its sad that prostate cancer is seen as "rare", even though it isn't and alot of guys have it. Its just a taboo subject, just like how breast cancer was for women years ago. Moral of the story keep your body healthy and get frequent checks to make sure everything is ok.
@@pandora1586 prostate cancer is extremely common. Every man who lives long enough will eventually get prostate cancer, but prostate cancer is typically one of the mildest cancers. A lot of times, the treatment for cancer is worse than the prostate cancer itself. What’s rare is agressive prostate cancer. My grandfather got it, we think from agent orange since he fought in Vietnam. I’m so glad your dad was able to be cured and is living a healthy lifestyle.
@@rossmore4682 yeah , he passed away 2016, which attributed to gaining about 100 more lbs atleast. Part of this was her husband never cared how she looked / about her weight.
I really appreciate you guys talking about how difficult getting healthy and losing weight can be. Your kindness and empathy is really helping on my own journey to getting healthier. Whenever I feel like I'm too far gone or pathetic, one of your videos pops up and helps me. Thank you guys
Sadly I think Tammy won't change until it is IN FACT too late. This is the terrible impact of addiction. I hope they can get the wake up call and help they need.
The only way I see her getting better is if she is commited to a mental hospital. As much as I hated it two weeks eating only what they give might be just what she needs
I feel like there could have been a much better way about getting her son to recognize he’s unhealthy and needs to work on himself 😂 without basically embarrassing him. He looked so sad and speechless… I bet it’s a shock but a bigger one when your moms crying about it
Well and it's not a stretch to say he has had a neglected possibly abusive childhood given his condition and her not doing shit to help his pre-diabetic condition...I feel so bad for him
@@doggolovescheese1310 this is very true … it’s really sad. My bf got diagnosed with diabetes later in life and it’s been very hard so I can’t imagine what it would be like for him if he does
I feel this man. Recently had a wake up call myself. I am 278 lbs and type 2 diabetic and my sugars so out of control I got a skin infection on my skull. Very painful and scary. I am now reformed to change my lifestyle. I just gotta take it one day at a time. I hope she wakes up too.
It’s crazy what the body does , I’m not overweight but can eat like I am , and I was constantly coming up prediabetic vs diabetic by 1 number. 1 up theyd have considered me diabetic ( and it is in my family) and they’ve never said anything since that , and I continued to eat the same. Been even more into sweets the last year or so for some reason and all of a sudden it’s like my legs are dying, but they don’t check for diabetes. It’s so overlooked for some reason despite obvious signs. The infections are definitely painful and can take a turn so quick. I get worried about losing my feet soo much, and just want a doctor to properly check since none have. My mobility is just becoming more limited and feet/ legs seem like dying 😭 Putting off health is so easy to do but so detrimental.. I’m glad you managed to pull through and see an option other than the way stuff was going with some help. I hope your health and mental health continue to increase !
I was raised by a mom with a food addiction. I have a food addiction. I am finally able to control it and when I had my daughter I made sure I did not pass it down to her. So proud the addiction stopped with me and won't be passed down to my daughter and then her children.
Hearing Ken say "I can only do half the workout I could do 2 years ago" had me like.. well, yeah! But you're beating couch potato Ken, so.. hey ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I will say that the mom went about this the complete wrong way, in that she just shamed and embarrassed her son BUT I know she did it out of good intentions and at least the son has admitted to ‘being lazy’ etc and will hopefully begin to get healthy. However, I do wanna commend mom on taking responsibility. She didn’t pawn the blame off with excuses ‘Awh you’re old enough to know better’ or anything of that ilk. She fully admitted to her children’s health issues being her fault and wanting to take the blame and responsibility for it now, to encourage him to get better alongside her!
This is why free healthy school meals and physical exercise at school is so important to combat health issues later on. Lots of kids are raised into an unhealthy lifestyle and have no choice, and shaming them about their weight just causes eating disorders and bad self esteem. By the time they’re an adult they’re used to being unhealthy and it’s harder to change.
@Future Pants I’m truly sorry you went through such a thing and hope you are in a much better place now! I do sincerely wish you well. However I don’t think that is quite the case with this woman... she definitely handled it wrong by the way she spoke about her son, but I don’t think she meant it on a truly harmful way, I think she just is beginning to realise how badly her child’s health has gone (also it’s a tv show - I would not doubt that the producers had a hand in her springing all that up out of nowhere). But she didn’t project onto the child at all. She fully took the blame on why he is unhealthy and severely overweight. She didn’t blame it on anyone but herself and owned her wrongful eating habits with the child etc. From this clip, it seems as though she was worried about not only herself, but her son too, as she led him in her own footsteps of weight issues.
@@bethtinx I couldn’t agree more! Add healthy and the odd unhealthy option to kids lunches (as in small treats once a week or so to gain a healthy balance with food). And encourage them to participate in physical education at least once a week within school. I know in my school, although PE was a once-a-week mandatory class, at least 35-40% of the year would sit it out every week ‘cause they didn’t wanna’ and came up with every excuse in the book, purely because they didn’t wanna look sweaty or gross or physically work out in front of others (all girls school btw).
@@KatieStephens I think a big part of getting kids to participate in gym class/activities in general means addressing the bullying issue. I was bullied pretty hard most of the way through school, and I *dreaded* gym class. I was the token fat girl in every class, so I was always picked last for everything and laughed at when I tried to do anything. Eventually, I just stopped trying. I *wanted* to play kickball or softball or whatever else we were doing that day, but I'd get laughed at every time I tried and get made fun of for my weight, so it got to the point where I'd literally make myself physically ill with anxiety every day before gym. To this day, I'm terrified of doing any kind of physical activity in public or going to the gym because I still remember all the cruelty. I know it's unlikely to happen as an adult, but I've been heckled and mooed at while just walking in the park before, so...yeah. It's rough.
@@amandas2639 Man I’m so sorry, that’s genuinely awful ! I’m assuming since you called it Gym and kickball and stuff that you’re American? I think ‘gym’ in America is awfully done by what I’m aware of. The whole ‘picking’ thing and everything is a clear open field for plain sight bullying. I’m Irish so our ‘gym’ was called PE (physical education) and it was very little team picking or anything like that. A lot of the time it was learning correct stretching, doing fun little ‘lap’ type games around the hall, just general activities that everyone could join in on, regardless of physical fitness. We often played games such as rounders or our own softer version of dodgeball, where you don’t hit above the waist, but these weren’t ‘picked’ teams. Basically wherever you were standing at the beginning of class, the teacher would split in half, or go across in order and depending on how many teams, would allocate you a number and you had to go to that team regardless of who you ‘liked’ or were standing beside. I think that method allowed for less bullying, at least during/about the classes anyhow, general bullying unfortunately will always be a thing. But please don’t be afraid of exercising in public! Or going to the gym, trust me, everyone was a beginner at one stage and people go there to better themselves/work on their own bodies, they’re typically not looking at other people! But I completely understand insecurities about public settings, so at the very least, you can excersise/work out at home - which tbh, works out cheaper in the long run lol. I wish you the best of luck and sincerely hope you get back to trying💕
The name Doctor Procter always throws me off when it's mentioned in these videos, because there's this popular Norwegian children's book called "Doctor Proctor's Fart Powder" and I just can't stop thinking of it when his name comes up lmao
Ken: “you look good whatever you’ve been doing it’s been working for you.” Me shoving stale French fries in my face after the 4th mental break this week: “…thanks?”
I used to be a lot heavier, and let me tell you the first week or two sucks SO much. But now I have been at it for a few years and I am that guy that always has to work the gym into my daily schedule. I get that it may seem that only fit people feel that way, but let me tell you that if you stay consistent then you can have that mentality as well. Because the gym has many more benefits than just physical and you tend to realize that while you are on your journey to overall fitness.
This is relatable as hell. I have fibromyalgia and degenerative disc disease as well as a bad knee. Basically I’m in pain 24/7 from my neck to my toes. When I work out, even just going on a walk, it causes a lot of pain. And if I overdo it I’ll be bedridden from muscle spasms for a day or two afterwards. So, I know the exercise is good for me in the long-term but it is SO hard to get out there and actually *DO* it when I know it’s going to make me hurt more than I already do, cause me to not be able to sleep tonight from the pain, and possibly cause me to not be able to take care of myself tomorrow because of the pain. But I also know that if I gain weight, I’ll hurt more everyday.
Vanilla Cake I’ve done aquatic physical therapy, and it helped a LOT but my health insurance now won’t pay for any more than 2 weeks per year. I could barely afford the co-pays as it was so I definitely can’t afford the whole thing out-of-pocket year round. I haven’t tried water aerobics or anything because it’s just so daunting. It’s very different than physical therapy. In PT the water is heated to reduce the risk of muscle cramps, the exercise is personalized to you, if I had to miss a day due to being in too much pain to drive, they’d reschedule me for tomorrow, etc. The only place in my city that offers water aerobics has icy cold water and in addition to that I’m worried about doing the class, pushing myself too far, then being in too much pain to drive home safely. It would be easier if I had local friends that could go with me, but they were all smart and moved, lol.
I get what you say. I am lucky, that I do sports since I was like 4 years old. It helps me alot nowadays handling the pain i have in my knees, back and hips. I get it is hard bit maybe try something soft like Yoga. I also tried aquatic aerobic and personally I had so much pain after it in my knees. But maybe it could help you. I hope you find something that can help you with your pain.
I deal with the same, and added on low thyroid and low blood pressure issues. You can do anything you put your mind to, though it isn't easy. Though in the end it is all worth it.
My mom got 2 surgeries for weight loss and gained it back. Before we moved out she would always do late night baking and always brought sweets. It started to also get hard for my brother who lost 200 pounds and was insecure about gaining it anything. After we moved out we are good, Costco runs for healthy chicken and meal prepping
I don’t get the amazing feeling after a workout that some people claim. I just feel either neutral or tired. But I do love the feeling when I see the results of working out. Both my physical appearance and my strength and endurance. And that is what keeps me motivated. Unfortunately sprained my ankle on top of way overworked due to staff shortages, so haven’t worked out in a while, but I want so badly to go back to it.
When i broke my foot i did a lot of ab and upper body workouts! Easy to do at home too. Definitely understand how you feel though, it's not a complete replacement but it's a good mental feeling knowing that I'm at least putting in SOME work, ya know? Maybe it'll feel the same for you 😊
When I was actively working out every day, I used the think that "runner's high", the endorphins that are released during a workout or after, were just a myth and people were crazy or maybe I was just different somehow? But then one day I decided to work out longer than normal, I did probably average cardio for nearly an hour straight before this amazing feeling hit me... Still, I was like, yeah, nope, not doing a non-stop hour every day after work.
It takes 2-3 weeks for that feeling to start, and you may need to do really small workouts for a few MONTHS so you don’t overwork your body. Overwork makes the gross feelings happen. Know from experience and yo-yoing between liking movement and hating it lol
@@StudioHannah I’ve been working out regularly for around 20 years. About an hour of weights, 10k-15k runs, swimming laps for about an hour, etc. on top of my job where I walk/run/climb stairs at about 25-35km per day. Hehe. But thank you for the advice, it is good for those that are not consistent with their workout routines.
All joking aside - 9 out of 10 times, hating working out is due to emotional problems. If your depressed or super stressed its gonna be 10x harder to get to the gym. If you cant work out but really want to, it might be worth seeing a therapist.
Agree. When you're not in the right mindset, the gym is so hard to get to. 80% of the time, the hardest push-up and the push up off the couch to get the day started
@Future Pants ah, it is worth seeing a therapist. Specifically a psychologist. I understand your point but the logic and reasoning remains the same, whether or not you’re sensitive to it.
Had to pause it and say that jogging & walking then back to jogging is a great cardio workout! I lost so much doing that. I could barely jog at all when I started but I got pretty good! I'd just jog until I wanted to die then I'd walk til I could breathe again then start jogging and push myself. (Remember to breathe!) Make sure you have great sneakers though! Mine were just a smidge too tight and I pinched a nerve in my foot lol I'm wearing a jeans size I haven't been in since jr high though 😎
Emotionally abusing a child......what a wonderful parent. 🤮 She can lose her weight but if she doesn't change how she is on the inside there legit no reason to change the outside. I HATE ppl who have kids then are physically or emotionally abusive to them. How can someone think it's ok to do that.....wow how can u NOT check up on child. How can you be a neglectful parent? I can't not put my kid fist and make sure they are healthy. My family struggles with weight but when u support and motivate ppl who actually want to change it does really help. I hope she gets the physical and mental helps she needs. Poor Jacob my heart goes out to him. I wish him the best and a healthy life
I grew up in the same situation, my mum was was bigger than me always fat shaming me at a young age, OMG LUCY LOOK AT THOSE STRETCHMARKS ON YOUR ARMS When I’m 12, every time I tried on an outfit in a shop my mum would look at me funny and say “you sure you want that, your belly’s hanging out” or “I can see your arms” something like that. I’m now 20 recovering from an eating disorder and unable to wear clothes that don’t completely cover me up like a car tarp all because of those small things my mum used to say as a child. The way she was shaking her kid the same way made me mad
Ken, I'm 375 pounds and I love working out. The hard part is starting, but when you get over the first month and staying consistent is what makes you feel great about working out.
@Future Pants What? No! That's not what you think it is or anything like that. Besides, I'm just saying the way how I felt like the way she is saying. Like you get what I mean? Because if not, then I have no other ways of saying this. Plus, from you, I'm not easily getting manipulated or anything. I just feel like I'm being misunderstood to what I'm saying thank you very much. 🙄😒
I used to be over 235lbs when I was 17. I usually was 160 or less before those last two years. It seriously scared me into seeing how it's just a quick exponential decline. It really works against you and takes that much more SO much faster. Finally, when I was 19 I finished losing the weight and got to a steady 147-162 zone! Keep it up and don't lose hope Jacob and Everyone! It's tough and I could only imagine what it is like for that 17-year-old, but anything is possible! You all got this!
First time I've ever disagreed with Ken 😛 ever. I was 19 stone in January and I said enough was enough and signed up the gym and did cardio and weight training as well as calorie deficit. Working out has cured 15 years of suffering with depression and anxiety, off my meds. It's completely changed my life. I certainly feel great after workouts and I'm not the same on my rest days. Lost 2 stone In 3 months 😊
Only reason I hated gym class was cause my gym teachers were fat cows who expected children to do more in Texas heat then they could do in the ac. Ex military blobs expecting respect they didn't earn. Also wanted me to pray for there sports teams. I'm in my thirties and I still remember them and hate them. They also refused to let the kids get drinks of water. My mom was a nurse and she lost her mind on them one day when she saw what they were having elementary kids do. After that all the kids loved my mom lol. Oh and I was very active as a kid and basically lived in a pool swimming laps so no it wasn't a I was mad for being told to move.
Definitely. Your parents influence over your diet and eating habits can absolutely affect you even into adulthood. My mom was a soda drinker. Nothing insane, maybe 2 or 3 cans a day but she allowed me to have em too. We are for sure soda addicts. Not addicted to any other sugary stuff though like candy because I wasn't raised on that, just the soda. The first time I realized it was a major problem was when I moved away from home and was in a situation where I couldn't afford it. I panicked because I had it every day all throughout my childhood and I couldn't fathom the idea of not having it. I did figure out that I'll live if I don't though lol But even to this day at 36, I'm still addicted and go back and forth between cutting it out completely and having 2 a day with each meal. Thankfully my mom was able to cut it out of her diet completely because it was giving her heart palpitations. But I know it's because I was raised on it that I struggle.
Same here! I've tried cutting it out multiple times I try to only have one a day now even though it is terrible for you , I was raised drinking soda and when I don't drink it I get terrible headaches
I'm glad they're addressing the son's health too. he's so young yet he was already talking about back pain from his weight and getting winded from small things that should still be easy for him. part of his weight issues will be the genetics from his mom leading to the same issues and of it is the bad habits and bad relationship with food that's teaching him by example. I hope they address the younger son too and maybe show some attempts to steer him in a healthier direction before he reaches the same severity as his mom and brother. maybe she can at least save her younger son from the same pain and struggles even though she was too late with her older son. I hope the older son can be helped too. they're both just too young to have to go through life with this particular kind of preventable chronic pain.
I really hope that she does do the work for herself and for/with her son. Things like this can be really inspiring when they manage to follow through. 💕
Just want to say thanks for these videos Ken, especially being so open about your personal struggles with losing weight, these videos have really motivated me to do more to start getting healthy, I'll be 32 this year and I'm still carrying the weight I gained from my first child 12 years ago, for the last 10 or so years I've been telling myself I'll lose it, I've tried diets and trained hard and at times I made progress but I always give up. Now I'm getting older the reality of health risks from carrying extra weight is starting to hit me, I cant run around after my 2 year old for long without feeling tired and I just don't feel as good as I know I could. Hearing you and Buff talk about weight loss and your experiences have made me feel not so alone and that I can do this. I now go for walks in the afternoon with the kids and have started to eat better and have cut out fast food in our house. It's only a start so far but I'm determined to stick to it this time not just for me but so my kids can have their mama around for a lot longer. So thanks for the motivation Ken and Buff :)
"Oh baby thats bad!" Instead of "I'm so sorry I got us here!!" What the heck who acts like that in a situation where its clearly her fault she makes him feel bad unmm you're the reason both of yall are here what the heck
I heard this from someone once and really agree.. instead of thinking oh I need to work out everyday and take it in as one giant goal, think of it as hey I need to work out today. Don’t even think about the next days. Just think in small portions and will help you get through it better.
"Mumma's stepping up now" well, he's 18, he's an adult, you should have done that before, regardless of losing a partner you still have a child to take care of
pushing a car to work out lol why not just... take a walk? Carry the groceries? Do 3 squats, just 3. Of course exercise will be impossible if you're like "well gotta exercise... guess I have to push an entire car, or balance a cruise ship on my chin, ugh this is so much work".
I remember when I was diagnosed as a pre-diabetic and I had been bullied for being overweight for so long. I turned it around, but now I have an ED (Ana) and a phobia of food. I really hope the best for the both of them, but definitely for Jacob because I was the same age as him when my ED started.
I had a super rough day Ken. My birthday isn't a day I like, it just got worse and nothing seemed aligned with the Universe. Everything felt worse as the day progressed, and then I heard you wish me and it just felt a tiny bit better. It may have stopped a lot of negative thoughts. Thank you for a moment of kindness, forever thankful and indebted.
A good tip for jogging is getting an interval timer. You start with 1 minute jogging then 1.30 walking/rest. Slowly that rest time goes down until you can do an even 1 minute on 1 minute off, then you start to increase the time you run. But don't run everyday cause it's actually not good for you, every second or third day is plenty for jogging. Good luck.
I really felt that conversation on warmups. I’m on the track team and DANG those warmups making me feel like I’ve already ran a marathon by the time real practice starts
What Ken said about workouts feeling great for people who are already in shape but miserable for bigger folk is absolutely on point. I'm way overweight myself, and when I start working out after falling off the wagon again, it's AWFUL. It's just absolutely exhausting. After a couple weeks or so of adjustment, I get used to it and even start enjoying it (sort of...I'll never enjoy any kind of weight training, but cardio can be fun). But those first weeks are *brutal.*
I feel like a big thing that people do wrong when “working out” is they push themselves over their limits. Sometimes your limits are only a speed walk! And that’s ok! Once you’re able to speed walk more comfortably than when your first started, you start picking up the pace little by little. It’s all about moderation and going at your own pace, and don’t over exceed yourself, that’s when your body ends up sore bc it’s not “used” to doing exercise. You need to get your body used to working out little by little 💯🙏🏽
Hearing them talk about their health makes me wish they'd make some update videos and work on it. Not shaming them just like seeing people do well lol I'm currently on a journey to correct my weight as well.
I'm not even close to YOUR size and some exercise hurts. We all need to keep trying more. I do stretches a lot more at work due to the fact I spend a lot of time in a chair so I need to stand and stretch every hour to get the blood flow going.
These videos always make me sad because they make me think about myself and how I've let myself go extremely. I even lost all my weight but then gained it all back. But honestly it also motivates me to be better and to not let myself get to that point
That young man could pull a similar move to what Taylor Lautner did growing up, - if he plays his health game right that is. I'm not saying he's gonna look EXACTLY like Lautner, but he has the potential.
Doesn't help that his name is Jacob either........I'm sorry for the comparison, he's dealing with enough with as it is, he doesn't need Twilight goals added on. XD
When I was pregnant and knew I was having a boy my son's father and I were talking about names, he suggested Edward and I said I didn't wanna name him after a twilight character....what name did I want? Jacob....lol I wasn't thinking twilight when I suggested it! I mean Edward would instantly make people think twilight but I think Jacob is a common enough name that it isn't the first thought people have...I mean, he wanted to name him Frank too so thankfully I won the name battle because Jacob is sooooo much better than Edward, Frank or Fred lol sorry to anyone with those names😂
idk why but it was so sweet to me that Ken ran to go get his son instead of just calling and saying he was going to be late or something like that. that effort was so cute
Ken telling me I look great made my day a lot better😭 Finally gotten back on a diet and started working out again, I feel great and now I feel like I look great✨💕
when people feel bad they don't get a workout in, it's because that's their HABIT! Not because they're already in shape. Love you guys, I find this content super relatable too
God I love this channel so much you make me smile and happy its so nice you feel that so thanks to you both I love your opinions on this aswell like your so truthful I feel so bad for the child its not fair how he gets treated at all
Okay I'm glad you mentioned the "I feel good when I work out!" Thing, because I don't get that feeling...and I've had people tell me I'm just not trying hard enough....but I'm not in great shape x) I don't feel good after working out, which I mean yes, means I should work out more. But still!
The best physical education professor I had in college told us “the only bad workouts are the ones you don’t do” and that has resonated with me most, especially with the pandemic weight I gained from lack of activity and gym access.
Pre diabetes is not fun. I was diagnosed when I was young (about 12 years old or so), I started off good then gave up. But then when the pandemic happened, I used that free time to try and finally get back on track as I had pushed myself closer to that line of being diabetic, I had gained even more weight vs when I was first diagnosed and it all happened with in 5-6 year span. I have been on a weight loss/get into shape mission for a little over a year and a half now. I made it to my first weight loss goal which was about 50lbs lighter than i was when i first started, I started off that way to see if I could do it so I could make it to a 100lbs goal, I am currently about 90 lbs lighter when I first started and a but mire in shape and have regulated my condition a bit more since starting. Hoping to lose the 10 or so more lbs to finally get it under control, granted when I was first diagnosed and first started my weight loss I was about half the weight these people are, but it is very important to do so. H definitely needs to be checked to make sure he isn't diabetic because very rarely are you able to go back to a pre diabetic condition once you go from pre diabetic to diabetic. That’s what my doctor told me when i started to get off track, though I was lucky I hadn’t crossed the line and still had a chance to get my condition under control.

I really appreciate you guys talking about how difficult getting healthy and losing weight can be. Your kindness and empathy is really helping on my own journey to getting healthier. Whenever I feel like I'm too far gone or pathetic, one of your videos pops up and helps me.
Thank you guys
It really sucks
Sadly I think Tammy won't change until it is IN FACT too late. This is the terrible impact of addiction.
I hope they can get the wake up call and help they need.
Have you seen primink's video on them? You're probably right
The only way I see her getting better is if she is commited to a mental hospital. As much as I hated it two weeks eating only what they give might be just what she needs
I dont think she will change even when its too late. I really don't think she will ever care.
@@TheMoonlightMage I miss primink. He straight up disappeared. Said he was coming back and it never happened
Tammy???
I feel like there could have been a much better way about getting her son to recognize he’s unhealthy and needs to work on himself 😂 without basically embarrassing him. He looked so sad and speechless… I bet it’s a shock but a bigger one when your moms crying about it
He's such a sweet kid with a big heart. It definitely could have gone better. He's only doing what he's been taught.
Her son already knows, reason why he keeps eating is due to depression from his parent is a b..ch.
Well and it's not a stretch to say he has had a neglected possibly abusive childhood given his condition and her not doing shit to help his pre-diabetic condition...I feel so bad for him
@@doggolovescheese1310 this is very true … it’s really sad. My bf got diagnosed with diabetes later in life and it’s been very hard so I can’t imagine what it would be like for him if he does
@Future Pants 😳😳😳 wait actually yea !! Sadly I can relate to this hardship and that makes a lot of sense
I feel this man. Recently had a wake up call myself. I am 278 lbs and type 2 diabetic and my sugars so out of control I got a skin infection on my skull. Very painful and scary. I am now reformed to change my lifestyle. I just gotta take it one day at a time. I hope she wakes up too.
good luck on your journey
Good luck! You got this 💪🏻
I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago. I'm about 250lbs. Like how do the people in these shows not have diabetes but we do? so unfair
My mobility is just becoming more limited and feet/ legs seem like dying 😭
Putting off health is so easy to do but so detrimental..
I’m glad you managed to pull through and see an option other than the way stuff was going with some help. I hope your health and mental health continue to increase !
Just remember that the best diet is one you can stick to and be happy with!
I was raised by a mom with a food addiction. I have a food addiction. I am finally able to control it and when I had my daughter I made sure I did not pass it down to her. So proud the addiction stopped with me and won't be passed down to my daughter and then her children.
I’ve just been waiting for todays post , I think I’ve seen EVERYTHING at this point. Thanks for keeping me entertained day and night.

Progress is progress. It doesn't matter how small the steps are. 😊
@@bethtinx
I couldn’t agree more!
It's rough.
@@amandas2639
Man I’m so sorry, that’s genuinely awful !

Ken: “you look good whatever you’ve been doing it’s been working for you.”
Me shoving stale French fries in my face after the 4th mental break this week: “…thanks?”
Have you tried water exercises? I’ve been thinking of doing it 🤔I hear it’s great cardio fitness and strengthen major muscle groups in our body
It would be easier if I had local friends that could go with me, but they were all smart and moved, lol.
i’m really sorry you gotta deal with that burden constantly but your mindset is amazing. you got this
I get what you say.
After we moved out we are good, Costco runs for healthy chicken and meal prepping
how was that kid not reduced to tears i would’ve had to leave the room 😭

We all hated gym class but let's be honest, we didn't realize how much it kept us healthy until we graduated. The self-discipline is hard, man.

Happy birthday 🥳🥳
Hey birthday buddy!! 33 here, I hope you also have an awesome birthday!!🥳🎂
Happy Birthday!

Good luck.

Ken saying I look good is what I needed cto start my day ❤️
What Ken said about workouts feeling great for people who are already in shape but miserable for bigger folk is absolutely on point.

You need to get your body used to working out little by little 💯🙏🏽
I love that Ken has a home gym he doesn't use 😂

"I lost my pants!!" 🤣
Ken going for that 'Jim from the office'- look
Those 4 minutes at the end really make me want a Ken and Dane PODCAST
They call it fast food because that's how quickly it kills you.
There’s something nice about getting the “if todays your birthday happy birthday” on your birthday
idk why but it was so sweet to me that Ken ran to go get his son instead of just calling and saying he was going to be late or something like that. that effort was so cute
Ken telling me I look great made my day a lot better😭
Finally gotten back on a diet and started working out again, I feel great and now I feel like I look great✨💕
Aw ye, I've been waiting what kind of cinnamontoastken episode would post on my birthday, thanks Ken and Buff!
when people feel bad they don't get a workout in, it's because that's their HABIT!
But still!
I mean you aren’t supposed to be in good shape when you first start, starting is the start how are you gonna get in shape if you never try
"push that van" is my new motivational statement
ken telling me i look good , when i'm having breakfast and look a mess made my day .
Every video I've seen today Ken has a different haircut 😂
The best physical education professor I had in college told us “the only bad workouts are the ones you don’t do” and that has resonated with me most, especially with the pandemic weight I gained from lack of activity and gym access.
All 4 of my grandparents are still alive, grandpas are working, they're all in their early 90s.
As an overweight new mother, that woman's tears really hit me. I'm not 300lbs yet, but I have to try a lot harder to lose weight to get below 200lbs.
Ken: You need a guy to come to your house who just looks at you, judges you...
me: yeah, that's *great* for eating disorders /sarcasm
