Pride is putting self above others exalting self above others but “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble” I need God’s favor I cannot bear his opposition.
With eyes on Jesus, the focus will not be on self. With eyes on self, the focus will never be Jesus but wanting more. Such insecurity cannot be made equitable for it is not our part, nor our portion. The clay is never higher than its maker.

It's very difficult to not be self centered. It takes a daily walk in the Word to fight this sin and many others that pop into our lives every day.
